Jeremías 4

Israël, si tu te retournes, dit l’Eternel, retourne-toi à moi ; si tu ôtes tes abominations de devant moi, tu ne seras plus errant ça et là.

SI te has de convertir, oh Israel, dice Jehová, conviértete á mí; y si quitares de delante de mí tus abominaciones, no andarás de acá para allá.

If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove.

“If you will return, Israel,” says the LORD, “if you will return to me, and if you will put away your abominations out of my sight; then you will not be removed;

Alors tu jureras en vérité, et en jugement, et en justice, l’Eternel est vivant ; et les nations se béniront en lui, et se glorifieront en lui.

Y jurarás, diciendo, Vive Jehová, con verdad, con juicio, y con justicia: y bendecirse han en él las gentes, y en él se gloriarán.

And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.

and you will swear, ‘As the LORD lives,’ in truth, in justice, and in righteousness. The nations will bless themselves in him, and they will glory in him.”

Car ainsi a dit l’Eternel à ceux de Juda et de Jérusalem : défrichez-vous les terres, et ne semez point sur les épines.

Porque así dice Jehová á todo varón de Judá y de Jerusalem: Haced barbecho para vosotros, y no sembréis sobre espinas.

For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.

For the LORD says to the men of Judah and to Jerusalem, “Break up your fallow ground, and don’t sow among thorns.

Hommes de Juda, et vous habitants de Jérusalem, soyez circoncis à l’Eternel, et ôtez les prépuces de vos coeurs ; de peur que ma fureur ne sorte comme un feu, et qu’elle ne s’embrase, sans qu’il y ait personne qui l’éteigne, à cause de la méchanceté de vos actions.

Circuncidaos á Jehová, y quitad los prepucios de vuestro corazón, varones de Judá y moradores de Jerusalem; no sea que mi ira salga como fuego, y se encienda y no haya quien apague, por la malicia de vuestras obras.

Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

Faites savoir en Juda, et publiez dans Jérusalem, et dites : sonnez du cor par le pays, criez, et vous amassez ; et dites : assemblez- vous, et nous entrerons dans les villes fortes.

Denunciad en Judá, y haced oir en Jerusalem, y decid: Sonad trompeta en la tierra. Pregonad, juntad, y decid: Reuníos, y entrémonos en las ciudades fuertes.

Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.

Declare in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, ‘Blow the trumpet in the land!’ Cry aloud and say, ‘Assemble yourselves! Let’s go into the fortified cities!’

Dressez l’enseigne vers Sion, retirez-vous en troupe, et ne vous arrêtez point ; car je m’en vais faire venir de l’Aquilon le mal et une grande calamité.

Alzad bandera en Sión, juntaos, no os detengáis; porque yo hago venir mal del aquilón, y quebrantamiento grande.

Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.

Set up a standard toward Zion. Flee for safety! Don’t wait; for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.”

Le lion est sorti de la caverne, et le destructeur des nations est parti ; il est sorti de son lieu pour réduire ton pays en désolation, tes villes seront ruinées, tellement qu’il n’y aura personne qui y habite.

El león sube de su guarida, y el destruidor de gentes ha partido; salido ha de su asiento para poner tu tierra en soledad; tus ciudades serán asoladas, y sin morador.

The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.

A lion has gone up from his thicket, and a destroyer of nations. He is on his way. He has gone out from his place, to make your land desolate, that your cities be laid waste, without inhabitant.

C’est pourquoi ceignez-vous de sacs, lamentez, et hurlez ; car l’ardeur de la colère de l’Eternel n’est point détournée de nous.

Por esto vestíos de saco, endechad y aullad; porque la ira de Jehová no se ha apartado de nosotros.

For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.

For this, clothe yourself with sackcloth, lament and wail; for the fierce anger of the LORD hasn’t turned back from us.

Et il arrivera en ce jour-là, dit l’Eternel, que le coeur du Roi, et le coeur des principaux sera épouvanté, et que les Sacrificateurs seront étonnés, et que les Prophètes seront tout confus.

Y será en aquel día, dice Jehová, que desfallecerá el corazón del rey, y el corazón de los príncipes, y los sacerdotes estarán atónitos, y se maravillarán los profetas.

And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.

“It will happen at that day,” says the LORD, “that the heart of the king will perish, along with the heart of the princes. The priests will be astonished, and the prophets will wonder.”

C’est pourquoi j’ai dit : ha ! ha ! Seigneur Eternel ! oui certainement tu as abusé ce peuple et Jérusalem, en disant : vous aurez la paix ; et l’épée est venue jusqu’à l’âme.

Y dije: ¡Ay, ay, Jehová Dios! verdaderamente en gran manera has engañado á este pueblo y á Jerusalem, diciendo, Paz tendréis; pues que el cuchillo ha venido hasta el alma.

Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.

Then I said, “Ah, Lord GOD! Surely you have greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, ‘You will have peace;’ whereas the sword reaches to the heart.”

En ce temps-là on dira à ce peuple, et à Jérusalem : un vent éclaircissant les lieux élevés souffle au désert, dans le chemin de la fille de mon peuple, non pas pour vanner ni pour nettoyer :

En aquel tiempo se dirá de este pueblo y de Jerusalem: Viento seco de las alturas del desierto vino á la hija de mi pueblo, no para aventar, ni para limpiar.

At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse,

At that time it will be said to this people and to Jerusalem, “A hot wind blows from the bare heights in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to winnow, nor to cleanse.

Un vent plus véhément que ceux-là viendra à moi, et je leur ferai maintenant leur procès.

Viento más vehemente que estos vendrá á mí: y ahora yo hablaré juicios con ellos.

Even a full wind from those places shall come unto me: now also will I give sentence against them.

A full wind from these will come for me. Now I will also utter judgments against them.”

Voici, il montera comme des nuées, et ses chariots seront semblables à un tourbillon, ses chevaux seront plus légers que des aigles ; malheur à nous ! car nous sommes détruits.

He aquí que subirá como nube, y su carro como torbellino: más ligeros con sus caballos que las águilas. ¡Ay de nosotros, porque dados somos á saco!

Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.

Behold, he will come up as clouds, and his chariots will be as the whirlwind. His horses are swifter than eagles. Woe to us! For we are ruined.

Jérusalem, nettoie ton coeur de ta malice, afin que tu sois délivrée ; jusques à quand séjourneront au dedans de toi les pensées de ton injustice ?

Lava de la malicia tu corazón, oh Jerusalem, para que seas salva. ¿Hasta cuándo dejarás estar en medio de ti los pensamientos de iniquidad?

O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?

Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long will your evil thoughts lodge within you?

Car le cri apporte des nouvelles de Dan, et publie du mont d’Ephraïm le tourment.

Porque la voz se oye del que trae las nuevas desde Dan, y del que hace oir la calamidad desde el monte de Ephraim.

For a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth affliction from mount Ephraim.

For a voice declares from Dan, and publishes evil from the hills of Ephraim:

Faites l’entendre aux nations, voici, publiez contre Jérusalem, et dites : les assiégeants viennent d’un pays éloigné, et ils ont jeté leur cri contre les villes de Juda.

Decid á las gentes; he aquí, haced oir sobre Jerusalem: Guardas vienen de tierra lejana, y darán su voz sobre las ciudades de Judá.

Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.

“Tell the nations, behold, publish against Jerusalem, ‘Watchers come from a far country, and raise their voice against the cities of Judah.

Ils se sont mis tout autour d’elle comme les gardes des champs, parce qu’elle m’a été rebelle, dit l’Eternel.

Como las guardas de las heredades, estuvieron sobre ella en derredor, porque se rebeló contra mí, dice Jehová.

As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the LORD.

As keepers of a field, they are against her all around, because she has been rebellious against me,’” says the LORD.

Ta conduite et tes actions t’ont produit ces choses ; telle a été ta malice ; parce que ç’a été une chose amère ; certainement elle te touchera jusques au coeur.

Tu camino y tus obras te hicieron esto, ésta tu maldad: por lo cual amargura penetrará hasta tu corazón.

Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart.

“Your way and your doings have brought these things to you. This is your wickedness, for it is bitter, for it reaches to your heart.”

Mon ventre ! mon ventre ! je suis dans la douleur ; le dedans de mon coeur, mon coeur me bat, je ne me puis taire ; car ô mon âme ! tu as ouï le son du cor, et le retentissement bruyant de l’alarme.

¡Mis entrañas, mis entrañas! Me duelen las telas de mi corazón: mi corazón ruge dentro de mí; no callaré; porque voz de trompeta has oído, oh alma mía, pregón de guerra.

My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.

My anguish, my anguish! I am pained at my very heart! My heart trembles within me. I can’t hold my peace, because you have heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.

Une ruine est appelée par l’autre, car toute la terre est détruite ; mes tentes ont été incontinent détruites, et mes pavillons en un moment.

Quebrantamiento sobre quebrantamiento es llamado; porque toda la tierra es destruída: en un punto son destruídas mis tiendas, en un momento mis cortinas.

Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment.

Destruction on destruction is decreed, for the whole land is laid waste. Suddenly my tents are destroyed, and my curtains gone in a moment.

Jusques à quand verrai-je l’enseigne, et entendrai-je le son du cor ?

¿Hasta cuándo tengo de ver bandera, tengo de oir voz de trompeta?

How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?

How long will I see the standard and hear the sound of the trumpet?

Car mon peuple est insensé, ils ne m’ont point reconnu ; ce sont des enfants insensés, et qui n’ont point d’entendement ; ils sont habiles à faire le mal, mais ils ne savent pas faire le bien.

Porque mi pueblo es necio; no me conocieron los hijos ignorantes y los no entendidos; sabios para mal hacer, y para bien hacer no supieron.

For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

“For my people are foolish. They don’t know me. They are foolish children, and they have no understanding. They are skillful in doing evil, but they don’t know how to do good.”

J’ai regardé la terre, et voici, elle est sans forme et vide ; et les cieux, et il n’y a point de clarté.

Miré la tierra, y he aquí que estaba asolada y vacía; y los cielos, y no había en ellos luz.

I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

I saw the earth and, behold, it was waste and void, and the heavens, and they had no light.

J’ai regardé les montagnes, et voici, elles branlent ; et toutes les collines sont renversées.

Miré los montes, y he aquí que temblaban, y todos los collados fueron destruídos.

I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.

I saw the mountains, and behold, they trembled, and all the hills moved back and forth.

J’ai regardé, et voici, il n’y a pas un seul homme, et tous les oiseaux des cieux s’en sont fuis.

Miré, y no parecía hombre, y todas las aves del cielo se habían ido.

I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.

I saw, and behold, there was no man, and all the birds of the sky had fled.

J’ai regardé, et voici, Carmel est un désert, et toutes ses villes ont été ruinées par l’Eternel, et par l’ardeur de sa colère.

Miré, y he aquí el Carmelo desierto, y todas sus ciudades eran asoladas á la presencia de Jehová, á la presencia del furor de su ira.

I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.

I saw, and behold, the fruitful field was a wilderness, and all its cities were broken down at the presence of the LORD, before his fierce anger.

Car ainsi a dit l’Eternel : toute la terre ne sera que désolation ; néanmoins je ne l’achèverai pas entièrement.

Porque así dijo Jehová: Toda la tierra será asolada; mas no haré consumación.

For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

For the LORD says, “The whole land will be a desolation; yet I will not make a full end.

C’est pourquoi la terre mènera deuil, et les cieux seront obscurcis au-dessus, parce que je l’ai prononcé ; je l’ai pensé, je ne m’en repentirai point, et je ne le révoquerai point.

Por esto se enlutará la tierra, y los cielos arriba se oscurecerán, porque hablé, pensé, y no me arrepentí, ni me tornaré de ello.

For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

For this the earth will mourn, and the heavens above be black, because I have spoken it. I have planned it, and I have not repented, neither will I turn back from it.”

Toute ville s’enfuit à cause du bruit des gens de cheval, et de ceux qui tirent de l’arc ; ils sont entrés dans les bois épais, et sont montés sur les rochers ; toute ville est abandonnée et personne n’y habite.

Del estruendo de la gente de á caballo y de los flecheros huyó toda la ciudad; entráronse en las espesuras de los bosques, y subiéronse en peñascos; todas las ciudades fueron desamparadas, y no quedó en ellas morador alguno.

The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.

Every city flees for the noise of the horsemen and archers. They go into the thickets and climb up on the rocks. Every city is forsaken, and not a man dwells therein.

Et quand tu auras été détruite, que feras-tu ? quoique tu te vêtes de cramoisi, et que tu te pares d’ornements d’or, et que tu couvres ton visage de fard, tu t’embellis en vain ; tes amoureux t’ont rebutée, ils chercheront ta vie.

Y tú, destruída, ¿qué harás? Bien que te vistas de grana, aunque te adornes con atavíos de oro, aunque pintes con antimonio tus ojos, en vano te engalanas; menospreciáronte los amadores, buscarán tu alma.

And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life.

You, when you are made desolate, what will you do? Though you clothe yourself with scarlet, though you deck yourself with ornaments of gold, though you enlarge your eyes with makeup, you make yourself beautiful in vain. Your lovers despise you. They seek your life.

Car j’ai ouï un cri comme celui d’une femme qui est en travail, et une angoisse comme celle d’une femme qui est en travail de son premier-né ; c’est le cri de la fille de Sion ; elle soupire, elle étend ses mains, en disant : Malheur maintenant à moi, car mon âme est défaillie à cause des meurtriers.

Porque voz oí como de mujer que está de parto, angustia como de primeriza; voz de la hija de Sión que lamenta y extiende sus manos, diciendo: ¡Ay ahora de mí! que mi alma desmaya á causa de los matadores.

For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewaileth herself, that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers.

For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, the anguish as of her who gives birth to her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, who gasps for breath, who spreads her hands, saying, “Woe is me now! For my soul faints before the murderers.”
