Jeremías 50

Quando o rei da Babilônia ouviu as notícias da invasão de seu país, perdeu completamente o ânimo. Foi dominado pela angústia e pelo medo, como a mulher que está para dar à luz.

Oyó su fama el rey de Babilonia, y sus manos se descoyuntaron: angustia le tomó, dolor como de mujer de parto.

The king of Babylon hath heard the report of them, and his hands waxed feeble: anguish took hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in travail.

The king of Babylon has heard the news of them, and his hands become feeble. Anguish has taken hold of him, pains as of a woman in labor.
