Jeremías 5

*Courez çà et là par les rues de Jérusalem, et regardez et sachez et cherchez dans ses places si vous trouvez un homme, s’il y a quelqu’un qui fasse ce qui est droit, qui cherche la fidélité, et je pardonnerai à la ville.

DISCURRID por las plazas de Jerusalem, y mirad ahora, y sabed, y buscad en sus plazas si halláis hombre, si hay alguno que haga juicio, que busque verdad; y yo la perdonaré.

Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.

Et s’ils disent : L’Éternel est vivant ! en cela même, ils jurent faussement.

Y si dijeren: Vive Jehová; por tanto jurarán mentira.

And though they say, The LORD liveth; surely they swear falsely.

Though they say, ‘As the LORD lives,’ surely they swear falsely.”

Éternel ! tes yeux ne †regardent-ils pas à la fidélité ? Tu les as frappés, mais ils n’en ont point ressenti de douleur ; tu les as consumés, ils ont refusé de recevoir la correction ; ils ont rendu leurs faces plus dures qu’un roc, ils ont refusé de revenir.

Oh Jehová, ¿no miran tus ojos á la verdad? Azotástelos, y no les dolió; consumístelos, y no quisieron recibir corrección; endurecieron sus rostros más que la piedra, no quisieron tornarse.

O LORD, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

Et j’ai dit : Voilà, ce sont de pauvres gens, ce sont des fous ; car ils ne connaissent pas la voie de l’Éternel, le jugement de leur Dieu.

Yo empero dije: Por cierto ellos son pobres, enloquecido han, pues no conocen el camino de Jehová, el juicio de su Dios.

Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.

Je m’en irai vers les grands, et je leur parlerai ; car eux, ils connaissent la voie de l’Éternel, le jugement de leur Dieu ; mais ceux-ci, tous ensemble, ont brisé le joug, rompu les liens.

Irme he á los grandes, y hablaréles; porque ellos conocen el camino de Jehová, el juicio de su Dios. Ciertamente ellos también quebraron el yugo, rompieron las coyundas.

I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the LORD, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

I will go to the great men and will speak to them, for they know the way of the LORD, and the law of their God.” But these with one accord have broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

C’est pourquoi un lion de la forêt les frappera, un loup du soir les ravagera ; le léopard veille devant leurs villes, quiconque en sort est déchiré ; car leurs transgressions sont multipliées, leurs infidélités se sont renforcées.

Por tanto, león del monte los herirá, destruirálos lobo del desierto, tigre acechará sobre sus ciudades; cualquiera que de ellas saliere, será arrebatado: porque sus rebeliones se han multiplicado, hanse aumentado sus deslealtades.

Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.

Therefore a lion out of the forest will kill them. A wolf of the evenings will destroy them. A leopard will watch against their cities. Everyone who goes out there will be torn in pieces, because their transgressions are many and their backsliding has increased.

Pourquoi te pardonnerai-je ? Tes fils m’ont abandonné, et ils jurent par ce qui n’est pas Dieu ; je les ai rassasiés, et ils ont commis adultère, et sont allés en troupe dans la maison de la prostituée.

¿Cómo te he de perdonar por esto? Sus hijos me dejaron, y juraron por lo que no es Dios. Saciélos, y adulteraron, y en casa de ramera se juntaron en compañías.

How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots’ houses.

Chevaux bien nourris, ils courent çà et là, chacun hennit après la femme de son prochain.

Como caballos bien hartos fueron á la mañana, cada cual relinchaba á la mujer de su prójimo.

They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour’s wife.

Ne punirais-je pas de telles choses ? dit l’Éternel ; et mon âme ne se vengerait-elle pas d’une nation comme celle-là ?

¿No había de hacer visitación sobre esto? dijo Jehová. De una gente como ésta ¿no se había de vengar mi alma?

Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Shouldn’t I punish them for these things?” says the LORD. “Shouldn’t my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Montez sur ses murailles, et détruisez ! mais ne détruisez pas entièrement ; ôtez ses créneaux, car ils ne sont pas à l’Éternel ;

Escalad sus muros, y destruid; mas no hagáis consumación: quitad las almenas de sus muros, porque no son de Jehová.

Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD’s.

“Go up on her walls, and destroy, but don’t make a full end. Take away her branches, for they are not the LORD’s.

car la maison d’Israël et la maison de Juda ont agi très perfidement envers moi, dit l’Éternel.

Porque resueltamente se rebelaron contra mí la casa de Israel y la casa de Judá, dice Jehová.

For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, saith the LORD.

Ils ont renié l’Éternel, et ont dit : Il n’est pas ! et le mal ne viendra pas sur nous ; nous ne verrons ni l’épée ni la famine,

Negaron á Jehová, y dijeron: El no es, y no vendrá mal sobre nosotros, ni veremos cuchillo ni hambre;

They have belied the LORD, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:

They have denied the LORD, and said, “It is not he. Evil won’t come on us. We won’t see sword or famine.

et les prophètes seront du vent, et la parole n’est pas en eux : ainsi leur sera-t-il fait.

Antes los profetas serán como viento, y no hay en ellos palabra; así se hará á ellos.

And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them.

C’est pourquoi, ainsi dit l’Éternel, le Dieu des armées : Parce que vous avez prononcé cette parole, voici, je ferai que mes paroles dans ta bouche seront du feu, et ce peuple sera le bois, et le †feu les consumera.

Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová Dios de los ejércitos: Porque hablasteis esta palabra, he aquí yo pongo en tu boca mis palabras por fuego, y á este pueblo por leños, y los consumirá.

Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

Therefore the LORD, the God of Armies says, “Because you speak this word, behold, I will make my words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it will devour them.

Voici, je fais venir de loin une nation contre vous, maison d’Israël, dit l’Éternel, une nation puissante, une nation ancienne, une nation dont tu ne sais pas la langue, et dont tu ne comprends pas la parole.

He aquí yo traigo sobre vosotros gente de lejos, oh casa de Israel, dice Jehová; gente robusta, gente antigua, gente cuya lengua ignorarás, y no entenderás lo que hablare.

Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the LORD: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say.

Behold, I will bring a nation on you from far away, house of Israel,” says the LORD. “It is a mighty nation. It is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you don’t know and don’t understand what they say.

Son carquois est comme un sépulcre ouvert, ils sont tous des hommes vaillants.

Su aljaba como sepulcro abierto, todos valientes.

Their quiver is as an open sepulchre, they are all mighty men.

Elle dévorera ta moisson et ton pain, elle dévorera tes fils et tes filles, elle dévorera ton menu et ton gros bétail, elle dévorera ta vigne et ton figuier, elle détruira par l’épée tes villes fortes sur lesquelles tu te confiais.

Y comerá tu mies y tu pan, que habían de comer tus hijos y tus hijas; comerá tus ovejas y tus vacas, comerá tus viñas y tus higueras; y tus ciudades fuertes en que tú confías, tornará en nada á cuchillo.

And they shall eat up thine harvest, and thy bread, which thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up thy flocks and thine herds: they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig trees: they shall impoverish thy fenced cities, wherein thou trustedst, with the sword.

They will eat up your harvest and your bread, which your sons and your daughters should eat. They will eat up your flocks and your herds. They will eat up your vines and your fig trees. They will beat down your fortified cities in which you trust with the sword.

Mais, même en ces jours-là, dit l’Éternel, je ne vous détruirai pas entièrement.

Empero en aquellos días, dice Jehová, no os acabaré del todo.

Nevertheless in those days, saith the LORD, I will not make a full end with you.

“But even in those days,” says the LORD, “I will not make a full end of you.

Et il arrivera que, quand vous direz : Pourquoi l’Éternel, notre Dieu, nous a-t-il fait toutes ces choses ? tu leur diras : Comme vous m’avez abandonné et que vous avez servi des dieux étrangers dans votre pays, ainsi vous servirez les étrangers dans un pays qui n’est pas le vôtre.

Y será que cuando dijereis: ¿Por qué hizo Jehová el Dios nuestro con nosotros todas estas cosas? entonces les dirás: De la manera que me dejasteis á mí, y servisteis á dioses ajenos en vuestra tierra, así serviréis á extraños en tierra ajena.

And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not yours.

It will happen when you say, ‘Why has the LORD our God done all these things to us?’ Then you shall say to them, ‘Just as you have forsaken me and served foreign gods in your land, so you will serve strangers in a land that is not yours.’

Annoncez ceci dans la maison de Jacob, et faites-le entendre dans Juda, disant :

Denunciad esto en la casa de Jacob, y haced que esto se oiga en Judá, diciendo:

Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,

“Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,

Écoutez pourtant ceci, peuple insensé et sans intelligence, qui avez des yeux et ne voyez pas, qui avez des oreilles et n’entendez pas.

Oid ahora esto, pueblo necio y sin corazón, que tienen ojos y no ven, que tienen oídos y no oyen:

Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

‘Hear this now, foolish people without understanding, who have eyes, and don’t see, who have ears, and don’t hear:

Ne me craindrez-vous pas, dit l’Éternel, ne tremblerez-vous pas devant moi, qui ai mis le sable pour limite à la mer, statut perpétuel, qu’elle n’outrepassera pas ? Ses vagues se soulèvent, mais elles ne prévaudront pas ; et elles bruient, mais elles ne l’outrepasseront pas.

¿A mí no temeréis? dice Jehová; ¿no os amedrentaréis á mi presencia, que al mar por ordenación eterna, la cual no quebrantará, puse arena por término? Se levantarán tempestades, mas no prevalecerán; bramarán sus ondas, mas no lo pasarán.

Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

Don’t you fear me?’ says the LORD; ‘Won’t you tremble at my presence, who have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it can’t pass it? Though its waves toss themselves, yet they can’t prevail. Though they roar, they still can’t pass over it.’

Mais ce peuple-ci a un cœur indocile et rebelle ; ils se sont détournés, et s’en sont allés ;

Empero este pueblo tiene corazón falso y rebelde; tornáronse y fuéronse.

But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

et ils n’ont pas dit dans leur cœur : Craignons pourtant l’Éternel, notre Dieu, qui donne les pluies en leur temps, la pluie de la première saison et la pluie de la dernière saison, †et qui nous garde les semaines ordonnées de la moisson.

Y no dijeron en su corazón: Temamos ahora á Jehová Dios nuestro, que da lluvia temprana y tardía en su tiempo; los tiempos establecidos de la siega nos guarda.

Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

They don’t say in their heart, ‘Let’s now fear the LORD our God, who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season, who preserves to us the appointed weeks of the harvest.’

Vos iniquités ont détourné ces choses, et vos péchés ont retenu de vous le bien.

Vuestras iniquidades han estorbado estas cosas; y vuestros pecados apartaron de vosotros el bien.

Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

Car il se trouve des méchants parmi mon peuple ; ils épient comme l’oiseleur qui se baisse, ils posent des pièges, ils prennent des hommes.

Porque fueron hallados en mi pueblo impíos; acechaban como quien pone lazos; pusieron trampa para tomar hombres.

For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

For wicked men are found among my people. They watch, as fowlers lie in wait. They set a trap. They catch men.

Comme une cage est pleine d’oiseaux, ainsi leurs maisons sont pleines de fraude ; c’est pourquoi ils sont devenus grands et se sont enrichis.

Como jaula llena de pájaros, así están sus casas llenas de engaño: así se hicieron grandes y ricos.

As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

Ils sont devenus gras et luisants, aussi ils débordent de méchancetés ; ils ne jugent pas la cause, la cause de l’orphelin, et ils prospèrent ; et ils ne font pas droit aux pauvres.

Engordaron y pusiéronse lustrosos, y sobrepujaron los hechos del malo: no juzgaron la causa, la causa del huérfano; con todo hiciéronse prósperos, y la causa de los pobres no juzgaron.

They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.

They have grown fat. They shine; yes, they excel in deeds of wickedness. They don’t plead the cause, the cause of the fatherless, that they may prosper; and they don’t defend the rights of the needy.

Ne punirais-je pas de telles choses ? dit l’Éternel ; mon âme ne se vengerait-elle pas d’une nation comme celle-là ?

¿No tengo de visitar sobre esto? dice Jehová; ¿y de tal gente no se vengará mi alma?

Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

“Shouldn’t I punish for these things?” says the LORD. “Shouldn’t my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Une chose étonnante et horrible est arrivée dans le pays :

Cosa espantosa y fea es hecha en la tierra:

A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

“An astonishing and horrible thing has happened in the land.

les prophètes prophétisent avec mensonge, et les sacrificateurs dominent par leur moyen ; et mon peuple l’aime ainsi. Et que ferez-vous à la fin ?

Los profetas profetizaron mentira, y los sacerdotes dirigían por manos de ellos; y mi pueblo así lo quiso. ¿Qué pues haréis á su fin?

The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
