Jeremías 5

Parcourez les rues de Jérusalem, voyez et informez-vous, cherchez dans ses places si vous y trouverez un homme, s'il en est un seul qui fasse la justice et qui désire la foi ; et je leur pardonnerai, dit le Seigneur.

DISCURRID por las plazas de Jerusalem, y mirad ahora, y sabed, y buscad en sus plazas si halláis hombre, si hay alguno que haga juicio, que busque verdad; y yo la perdonaré.

Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.

Ils disent : Vive le Seigneur ! et en cela ne font-ils pas un faux serment ?

Y si dijeren: Vive Jehová; por tanto jurarán mentira.

And though they say, The LORD liveth; surely they swear falsely.

Though they say, ‘As the LORD lives,’ surely they swear falsely.”

Seigneur, vos yeux considèrent la foi ; vous les avez flagellés, et ils ne l'ont point senti ; vous les avez consumés, et ils n'ont point profité de la correction. Ils se sont fait un front plus dur que le roc, et n'ont point voulu se convertir.

Oh Jehová, ¿no miran tus ojos á la verdad? Azotástelos, y no les dolió; consumístelos, y no quisieron recibir corrección; endurecieron sus rostros más que la piedra, no quisieron tornarse.

O LORD, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

Et j'ai dit : Peut-être sont-ils pauvres, et est-ce pour cela qu'ils sont faibles, et n'ont connu ni la voie du Seigneur ni le jugement de Dieu.

Yo empero dije: Por cierto ellos son pobres, enloquecido han, pues no conocen el camino de Jehová, el juicio de su Dios.

Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.

J'irai donc vers les riches, et je leur parlerai ; car ceux-là ont appris à connaître la voie du Seigneur et le jugement de Dieu ; mais voilà qu'unanimement ils ont brisé le joug et mis en pièces les liens.

Irme he á los grandes, y hablaréles; porque ellos conocen el camino de Jehová, el juicio de su Dios. Ciertamente ellos también quebraron el yugo, rompieron las coyundas.

I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the LORD, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

I will go to the great men and will speak to them, for they know the way of the LORD, and the law of their God.” But these with one accord have broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

C'est pourquoi, le lion sortant de la forêt les a blessés, et le loup les a détruits jusque dans leurs demeures, et la panthère s'est élevée contre leurs cités. Quiconque est issu d'eux sera poursuivi comme une proie, parce qu'ils ont multiplié leurs impiétés et se sont endurcis dans leurs rébellions.

Por tanto, león del monte los herirá, destruirálos lobo del desierto, tigre acechará sobre sus ciudades; cualquiera que de ellas saliere, será arrebatado: porque sus rebeliones se han multiplicado, hanse aumentado sus deslealtades.

Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.

Therefore a lion out of the forest will kill them. A wolf of the evenings will destroy them. A leopard will watch against their cities. Everyone who goes out there will be torn in pieces, because their transgressions are many and their backsliding has increased.

Comment puis-je leur être propice ? Tes fils m'ont délaissé, et ils ont juré par ce qui n'est point Dieu ; je les ai nourris en abondance, et ils ont commis des adultères, et ils ont logé dans les maisons des prostituées.

¿Cómo te he de perdonar por esto? Sus hijos me dejaron, y juraron por lo que no es Dios. Saciélos, y adulteraron, y en casa de ramera se juntaron en compañías.

How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots’ houses.

Ils sont devenus comme des chevaux courant après des cavales ; chacun ; s'est mis à hennir auprès de la femme de son prochain :

Como caballos bien hartos fueron á la mañana, cada cual relinchaba á la mujer de su prójimo.

They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour’s wife.

Est-ce que je ne les visiterai pas pour ces choses ? dit le Seigneur ; est- ce que mon âme ne tirera pas vengeance d'un tel peuple ?

¿No había de hacer visitación sobre esto? dijo Jehová. De una gente como ésta ¿no se había de vengar mi alma?

Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Shouldn’t I punish them for these things?” says the LORD. “Shouldn’t my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Montez sur ses créneaux et renversez-les ; mais ne la détruisez pas de fond en comble ; laissez-en les fondations, parce qu'elles appartiennent au Seigneur.

Escalad sus muros, y destruid; mas no hagáis consumación: quitad las almenas de sus muros, porque no son de Jehová.

Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD’s.

Parce que la maison d'Israël et la maison de Juda ont gravement prévariqué contre moi, dit le Seigneur.

Porque resueltamente se rebelaron contra mí la casa de Israel y la casa de Judá, dice Jehová.

For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, saith the LORD.

Elles ont menti au Seigneur, disant : Les choses ne sont pas ainsi, les maux ne viendront pas sur nous, et nous ne verrons ni le glaive ni la famine.

Negaron á Jehová, y dijeron: El no es, y no vendrá mal sobre nosotros, ni veremos cuchillo ni hambre;

They have belied the LORD, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:

They have denied the LORD, and said, “It is not he. Evil won’t come on us. We won’t see sword or famine.

Nos prophètes ont parlé en l'air, et la parole du Seigneur n'était pas en eux.

Antes los profetas serán como viento, y no hay en ellos palabra; así se hará á ellos.

And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them.

A cause de cela, voici ce que dit le Seigneur tout-puissant : En punition de ce que vous avez ainsi parlé, voilà que je fais de mes paroles un feu dans ta bouche, et le peuple sera le bois, et le feu consumera le peuple.

Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová Dios de los ejércitos: Porque hablasteis esta palabra, he aquí yo pongo en tu boca mis palabras por fuego, y á este pueblo por leños, y los consumirá.

Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

Therefore the LORD, the God of Armies says, “Because you speak this word, behold, I will make my words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it will devour them.

Je vais amener de loin une nation sur vous, ô maison d'Israël, dit le Seigneur, une nation dont vous n'entendrez pas le langage.

He aquí yo traigo sobre vosotros gente de lejos, oh casa de Israel, dice Jehová; gente robusta, gente antigua, gente cuya lengua ignorarás, y no entenderás lo que hablare.

Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the LORD: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say.

Behold, I will bring a nation on you from far away, house of Israel,” says the LORD. “It is a mighty nation. It is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you don’t know and don’t understand what they say.

Ce sont tous des hommes forts.

Su aljaba como sepulcro abierto, todos valientes.

Their quiver is as an open sepulchre, they are all mighty men.

Et ils mangeront votre moisson et votre pain ; ils dévoreront vos fils et vos filles, ils dévoreront vos brebis et vos bœufs, ils dévoreront vos vignes, vos figuiers et vos oliviers, et ils détruiront de fond en comble, par le glaive, vos places fortes, en qui vous aviez mis votre confiance.

Y comerá tu mies y tu pan, que habían de comer tus hijos y tus hijas; comerá tus ovejas y tus vacas, comerá tus viñas y tus higueras; y tus ciudades fuertes en que tú confías, tornará en nada á cuchillo.

And they shall eat up thine harvest, and thy bread, which thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up thy flocks and thine herds: they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig trees: they shall impoverish thy fenced cities, wherein thou trustedst, with the sword.

They will eat up your harvest and your bread, which your sons and your daughters should eat. They will eat up your flocks and your herds. They will eat up your vines and your fig trees. They will beat down your fortified cities in which you trust with the sword.

En ces jours-là, dit le Seigneur votre Dieu, je ne vous exterminerai pas entièrement.

Empero en aquellos días, dice Jehová, no os acabaré del todo.

Nevertheless in those days, saith the LORD, I will not make a full end with you.

“But even in those days,” says the LORD, “I will not make a full end of you.

Et lorsque vous direz : Pourquoi le Seigneur, notre Dieu, nous a-t-il fait ces choses ? tu leur diras ; En punition de ce que vous avez servi, dans votre terre, des dieux étrangers, vous aussi vous servirez des étrangers en une terre qui ne sera pas la vôtre.

Y será que cuando dijereis: ¿Por qué hizo Jehová el Dios nuestro con nosotros todas estas cosas? entonces les dirás: De la manera que me dejasteis á mí, y servisteis á dioses ajenos en vuestra tierra, así serviréis á extraños en tierra ajena.

And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not yours.

It will happen when you say, ‘Why has the LORD our God done all these things to us?’ Then you shall say to them, ‘Just as you have forsaken me and served foreign gods in your land, so you will serve strangers in a land that is not yours.’

Publiez ces choses dans la maison de Jacob, et qu'elles soient entendues dans la maison de Juda.

Denunciad esto en la casa de Jacob, y haced que esto se oiga en Judá, diciendo:

Écoutez donc ces choses, peuplé insensé et sans cœur : qui avez des yeux, et ne voyez pas ; qui avez des oreilles, et n'entendez pas.

Oid ahora esto, pueblo necio y sin corazón, que tienen ojos y no ven, que tienen oídos y no oyen:

Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

‘Hear this now, foolish people without understanding, who have eyes, and don’t see, who have ears, and don’t hear:

Ne me craindrez-vous point ? dit le Seigneur ; n'aurez-vous point de respect pour moi qui ai donné à la mer les sables pour limites ? C'est un commandement éternel ; et elle ne l'enfreindra point ; elle s'agitera, mais elle ne prévaudra point ; et ses flots bruiront, mais ils ne me désobéiront pas.

¿A mí no temeréis? dice Jehová; ¿no os amedrentaréis á mi presencia, que al mar por ordenación eterna, la cual no quebrantará, puse arena por término? Se levantarán tempestades, mas no prevalecerán; bramarán sus ondas, mas no lo pasarán.

Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

Le cœur de ce peuple est indocile et incrédule ; ils se sont détournés et éloignés de moi.

Empero este pueblo tiene corazón falso y rebelde; tornáronse y fuéronse.

But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

Et ils n'ont point dit en leur âme : Craignons maintenant le Seigneur notre Dieu, qui nous a donné la pluie du printemps et celle de l'automne, comme il convient pour l'achèvement de la moisson au temps prescrit, et qui a veillé sur nous.

Y no dijeron en su corazón: Temamos ahora á Jehová Dios nuestro, que da lluvia temprana y tardía en su tiempo; los tiempos establecidos de la siega nos guarda.

Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

Vos iniquités ont troublé ce cours des choses, et vos péchés ont éloigné de vous mes biens.

Vuestras iniquidades han estorbado estas cosas; y vuestros pecados apartaron de vosotros el bien.

Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

Parce que, parmi mon peuple, il s'est trouvé des impies, et ils ont placé des pièges pour perdre les hommes, et ils les ont surpris.

Porque fueron hallados en mi pueblo impíos; acechaban como quien pone lazos; pusieron trampa para tomar hombres.

For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

For wicked men are found among my people. They watch, as fowlers lie in wait. They set a trap. They catch men.

Tel un filet tendu est plein d'oiseaux, telle leur maison est pleine de fraude. Et c'est ainsi qu'ils sont devenus grands et se sont enrichis.

Como jaula llena de pájaros, así están sus casas llenas de engaño: así se hicieron grandes y ricos.

As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

Et ils ont transgressé la justice, et ils n'ont point jugé la cause de l'orphelin ni jugé celle de la veuve.

Engordaron y pusiéronse lustrosos, y sobrepujaron los hechos del malo: no juzgaron la causa, la causa del huérfano; con todo hiciéronse prósperos, y la causa de los pobres no juzgaron.

They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.

They have grown fat. They shine; yes, they excel in deeds of wickedness. They don’t plead the cause, the cause of the fatherless, that they may prosper; and they don’t defend the rights of the needy.

Et pour tout cela est-ce que je ne les visiterai pas ? dit le Seigneur ; est-ce que mon âme ne tirera pas vengeance d'un tel peuple ?

¿No tengo de visitar sobre esto? dice Jehová; ¿y de tal gente no se vengará mi alma?

Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

“Shouldn’t I punish for these things?” says the LORD. “Shouldn’t my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

La stupeur et l'horreur ont régné sur la terre.

Cosa espantosa y fea es hecha en la tierra:

A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

Les prophètes prophétisent l'iniquité ; les prêtres applaudissent des mains, et mon peuple les aime pour avoir fait ainsi. Que pouvez-vous faire de plus après cela ?

Los profetas profetizaron mentira, y los sacerdotes dirigían por manos de ellos; y mi pueblo así lo quiso. ¿Qué pues haréis á su fin?
