16Il Signore avea detto così: Fermatevi in su le vie, e riguardate; e domandate de' sentieri antichi, per saper quale è la buona strada, e camminate per essa; e voi troverete riposo all'anima vostra. Ma essi han detto: Noi non vi cammineremo.

16Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

16The LORD says, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, ‘Where is the good way?’ and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
