“Povo de Benjamim, fuja de Jerusalém se quiser salvar sua vida! Toquem a trombeta em Tecoa! Mandem um sinal para Bete-Haquerém! Avisem por toda parte que o castigo divino se aproxima, e a destruição está chegando do Norte!
HUID, hijos de Benjamín, de en medio de Jerusalem, y tocad bocina en Tecoa, y alzad por señal humo sobre Beth-hacchêrem: porque del aquilón se ha visto mal, y quebrantamiento grande.
O ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Beth-haccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.
“Flee for safety, you children of Benjamin, out of the middle of Jerusalem! Blow the trumpet in Tekoa and raise up a signal on Beth Haccherem, for evil looks out from the north with a great destruction.

A mujer hermosa y delicada comparé á la hija de Sión.
I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.
I will cut off the beautiful and delicate one, the daughter of Zion.
para onde os pastores vêm com seus rebanhos; armam as suas tendas em volta de seus muros, cada um no seu lugar.
A ella vendrán pastores y sus rebaños; junto á ella en derredor pondrán sus tiendas; cada uno apacentará á su parte.
The shepherds with their flocks shall come unto her; they shall pitch their tents against her round about; they shall feed every one in his place.

“Vejam como se preparam para atacar Jerusalém! Fiquem prontos porque o ataque vai começar ao meio-dia! Ai de nós! A tarde já está terminando, as sombras da noite se aproximam.
Denunciad guerra contra ella: levantaos y subamos hacia el mediodía. ¡Ay de nosotros! que va cayendo ya el día, que las sombras de la tarde se han extendido.
Prepare ye war against her; arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe unto us! for the day goeth away, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out.
“Prepare war against her! Arise! Let’s go up at noon. Woe to us! For the day declines, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out.
Preparem-se! Vamos atacar durante a noite e destruir as fortalezas!”
Levantaos, y subamos de noche, y destruyamos sus palacios.
Arise, and let us go by night, and let us destroy her palaces.

Assim diz o Senhor Todo-poderoso: “Cortem árvores e construam rampas de guerra para atacar os muros de Jerusalém. Esta cidade deve ser castigada, porque dentro dela só existe opressão.
Porque así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Cortad árboles, y extended baluarte junto á Jerusalem: esta es la ciudad que toda ella ha de ser visitada; violencia hay en medio de ella.
For thus hath the LORD of hosts said, Hew ye down trees, and cast a mount against Jerusalem: this is the city to be visited; she is wholly oppression in the midst of her.
For the LORD of Armies said, “Cut down trees, and cast up a mound against Jerusalem. This is the city to be visited. She is filled with oppression within herself.
Como a água de um poço está sempre fresca, a maldade de Jerusalém está sempre bem viva dentro dela. Pelas ruas só se ouve o som da violência e do crime; cada vez que olho para ela, vejo a sua maldade como uma ferida aberta, como uma doença incurável.
Como la fuente nunca cesa de manar sus aguas, así nunca cesa de manar su malicia; injusticia y robo se oye en ella; continuamente en mi presencia, enfermedad y herida.
As a fountain casteth out her waters, so she casteth out her wickedness: violence and spoil is heard in her; before me continually is grief and wounds.
As a well produces its waters, so she produces her wickedness. Violence and destruction is heard in her. Sickness and wounds are continually before me.
Jerusalém, este é o último aviso! Se você não escutar, eu me afastarei de você e transformarei essa terra num lugar desolado e vazio”.
Corrígete, Jerusalem, porque no se aparte mi alma de ti, porque no te torne desierta, tierra no habitada.
Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul depart from thee; lest I make thee desolate, a land not inhabited.

Assim diz o Senhor Todo-poderoso: “Um após outro, terríveis desastres acontecerão na terra de Israel. Até o remanescente do povo que ficar vai passar por maus bocados. Vai acontecer em Israel o que acontece nas plantações de uvas, onde o colhedor volta e examina cada parreira para colher o que deixou escapar da primeira vez”.
Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Del todo rebuscarán como á vid el resto de Israel: torna tu mano como vendimiador á los cestos.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall throughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back thine hand as a grapegatherer into the baskets.
The LORD of Armies says, “They will thoroughly glean the remnant of Israel like a vine. Turn again your hand as a grape gatherer into the baskets.”
A quem posso me dirigir e advertir? E, mesmo que eu fale, quem vai me ouvir? Não adianta falar a esse povo; eles têm ouvidos tapados e não escutam o que eu digo. Eles desprezam a palavra do Senhor e não têm prazer nela.
¿A quién tengo de hablar y amonestar, para que oigan? He aquí que sus orejas son incircuncisas, y no pueden escuchar; he aquí que la palabra de Jehová les es cosa vergonzosa, no la aman.
To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.
To whom should I speak and testify, that they may hear? Behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they can’t listen. Behold, the LORD’s word has become a reproach to them. They have no delight in it.
Por tudo isso, estou cheio da ira do Senhor contra eles; já não aguento mais reter essa ira dentro de mim. “Derrama-a sobre Jerusalém, sobre as crianças que brincam na rua, sobre os grupos de jovens, sobre os maridos e mulheres, os velhos de idade bem avançada.
Por tanto estoy lleno de saña de Jehová, trabajado he por contenerme; derramaréla sobre los niños en la calle, y sobre la reunión de los jóvenes juntamente; porque el marido también será preso con la mujer, el viejo con el lleno de días.
Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days.

As casas onde eles moravam serão habitadas por outros. Estes tomarão para si as mulheres e os campos, quando eu estender a minha mão sobre os moradores desta terra”, declara o Senhor.
Y sus casas serán traspasadas á otros, sus heredades y también sus mujeres; porque extenderé mi mano sobre los moradores de la tierra, dice Jehová.
And their houses shall be turned unto others, with their fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD.

“Todo eles, do mais humilde ao mais poderoso, são gananciosos. Todos usam a mentira e o engano, inclusive os sacerdotes e profetas!
Porque desde el más chico de ellos hasta el más grande de ellos, cada uno sigue la avaricia; y desde el profeta hasta el sacerdote, todos son engañadores.
For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.

É impossível curar a ferida do meu povo dizendo que ela não existe; mas os sacerdotes e profetas enganam o meu povo com falsas promessas, dizendo: ‘Paz, paz’, quando a guerra se aproxima rapidamente.
Y curan el quebrantamiento de la hija de mi pueblo con liviandad, diciendo, Paz, paz; y no hay paz.
They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
They have healed also the hurt of my people superficially, saying, ‘Peace, peace!’ when there is no peace.
O meu povo, que nunca sentiu vergonha em adorar ídolos, vai passar muita vergonha! Eles cairão entre os que caem; serão humilhados quando eu os castigar”, diz o Senhor.
¿Hanse avergonzado de haber hecho abominación? No por cierto, no se han avergonzado, ni aun saben tener vergüenza: por tanto caerán entre los que caerán; caerán cuando los visitaré, dice Jehová.
Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.

Assim diz o Senhor: “Parem um pouco e pensem! Perguntem qual é o bom caminho, aquele caminho por onde vocês andavam há muito tempo. Se vocês andarem por ele, encontrarão paz e segurança. Mas vocês respondem: ‘Não é esse o caminho que queremos seguir!’
Así dijo Jehová: Paraos en los caminos, y mirad, y preguntad por las sendas antiguas, cuál sea el buen camino, y andad por él, y hallaréis descanso para vuestra alma. Mas dijeron: No andaremos.
Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Coloquei vigias para avisar vocês: Escutem com atenção! Quando ouvirem o som da trombeta, vocês saberão que o perigo está perto! Mas vocês responderam: ‘Não daremos atenção!’
Desperté también sobre vosotros atalayas, que dijesen: Escuchad á la voz de la trompeta. Y dijeron ellos: No escucharemos.
Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

“Portanto, aqui está o decreto do meu castigo contra o meu povo. Ouçam bem, terras distantes! Ouça bem, povo de Jerusalém!

Ouça, toda a terra! Eu trarei um grande castigo contra este povo, fruto de seus pensamentos carregados de pecado, porque eles se recusam a ouvir as minhas palavras. Eles rejeitaram a minha lei.
Oye, tierra. He aquí yo traigo mal sobre este pueblo, el fruto de sus pensamientos; porque no escucharon á mis palabras, y aborrecieron mi ley.
Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.
Hear, earth! Behold, I will bring evil on this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not listened to my words; and as for my law, they have rejected it.
De que me adianta o doce e perfumado incenso de Sabá? Guardem os seus caros perfumes! Não aceito as suas ofertas queimadas. Os sacrifícios que vocês trazem ao templo não me agradam”.
¿A qué viene para mí este incienso de Seba, y la buena caña olorosa de tierra lejana? Vuestros holocaustos no son á mi voluntad, ni vuestros sacrificios me dan gusto.
To what purpose cometh there to me incense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me.
To what purpose does frankincense from Sheba come to me, and the sweet cane from a far country? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable, and your sacrifices are not pleasing to me.”
Assim diz o Senhor: “Farei do caminho do meu povo uma estrada cheia de buracos e barreiras; pais e filhos tropeçarão juntos e ficarão sem esperanças; vizinhos e amigos morrerão”.
Por tanto Jehová dice esto: He aquí yo pongo á este pueblo tropiezos, y caerán en ellos los padres y los hijos juntamente, el vecino y su cercano perecerán.
Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.
Therefore the LORD says, “Behold, I will lay stumbling blocks before this people. The fathers and the sons together will stumble against them. The neighbor and his friend will perish.”
Assim diz o Senhor: “Vejam os exércitos marchando, vindo do norte; uma grande nação surgindo dos confins da terra.
Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que viene pueblo de tierra del aquilón, y gente grande se levantará de los cantones de la tierra.
Thus saith the LORD, Behold, a people cometh from the north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth.
The LORD says, “Behold, a people comes from the north country. A great nation will be stirred up from the uttermost parts of the earth.
Os seus soldados vêm armados de carros e lanças, marchando em perfeita ordem de batalha. Eles são cruéis e não têm misericórdia. O barulho do exército é forte como o mar. Eles vêm para atacá-la, ó cidade de Sião”.
Arco y escudo arrebatarán; crueles son, que no tendrán misericordia; sonará la voz de ellos como la mar, y montarán á caballo como hombres dispuestos para la guerra, contra ti, oh hija de Sión.
They shall lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in array as men for war against thee, O daughter of Zion.

Já ouvimos a fama desse exército, e as nossas mãos ficaram fracas de medo. O desespero tomou conta de nós; dores nos dominam, como dominam a mulher que dá à luz.
Su fama oimos, y nuestras manos se descoyuntaron; apoderóse de nosotros angustia, dolor como de mujer que pare.
We have heard the fame thereof: our hands wax feeble: anguish hath taken hold of us, and pain, as of a woman in travail.
We have heard its report. Our hands become feeble. Anguish has taken hold of us, and pains as of a woman in labor.
Não saiam da cidade para o campo! Não andem pelas estradas porque os soldados inimigos estão espalhados por todo o país, prontos para matar! Estamos vivendo sob o domínio do terror.
No salgas al campo, ni andes por camino; porque espada de enemigo y temor hay por todas partes.
Go not forth into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy and fear is on every side.
Don’t go out into the field or walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy and terror are on every side.
Ó minha filha, meu povo, vista roupas de luto, sente-se sobre a cinza e chore amargamente, como a viúva que perdeu seu único filho! De repente, o exército da destruição cairá sobre você.
Hija de mi pueblo, cíñete de saco, y revuélcate en ceniza; hazte luto como por hijo único, llanto de amarguras: porque presto vendrá sobre nosotros el destruidor.
O daughter of my people, gird thee with sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us.
Daughter of my people, clothe yourself with sackcloth, and wallow in ashes! Mourn, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation, for the destroyer will suddenly come on us.
“Jeremias, eu fiz de você um homem como o que analisa os metais, para examinar o meu povo e determinar o seu valor. Você será uma torre para vigiar o meu povo e provar a conduta deles.
Por fortaleza te he puesto en mi pueblo, por torre: conocerás pues, y examinarás el camino de ellos.
I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.
“I have made you a tester of metals and a fortress among my people, that you may know and try their way.
Todos eles são rebeldes da pior espécie e vivem espalhando calúnias; são endurecidos como o bronze e o ferro. Todos eles são corruptos.
Todos ellos príncipes rebeldes, andan con engaño; son cobre y hierro: todos ellos son corruptores.
They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters.
They are all grievous rebels, going around to slander. They are bronze and iron. All of them deal corruptly.
O fole assopra com força o fogo para separar o chumbo com o fogo, mas as impurezas prosseguem em vão — não se separam do metal. Por mais que se esquente o fogo, não é possível separar esse povo de seus pecados.
Quemóse el fuelle, del fuego se ha consumido el plomo: por demás fundió el fundidor, pues los malos no son arrancados.
The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder melteth in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away.
The bellows blow fiercely. The lead is consumed in the fire. In vain they go on refining, for the wicked are not plucked away.
Por isso, serão conhecidos como ‘prata impura’, porque o Senhor os rejeitou”.
