Stand in the gate of the LORD’s house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.
“Stand in the gate of the LORD’s house, and proclaim this word there, and say, ‘Hear the LORD’s word, all you of Judah, who enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.’”
Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Mejoren sus de ustedes caminos y sus de ustedes obras, y les haré morar en este lugar.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

Pero si mejoraren cumplidamente sus de ustedes caminos y sus de ustedes obras; si con verdad hicieren justicia entre el hombre y su prójimo,
Mas si mejorareis cumplidamente vuestros caminos y vuestras obras; si con exactitud hiciereis derecho entre el hombre y su prójimo,
For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;
For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor;
y no oprimieren al extranjero, al huérfano y a la viuda, ni en este lugar derramaren la sangre inocente, ni anduvieren detrás de dioses ajenos para mal suyo de ustedes,
Ni oprimiereis al peregrino, al huérfano, y á la viuda, ni en este lugar derramareis la sangre inocente, ni anduviereis en pos de dioses ajenos para mal vuestro;
If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:
if you don’t oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, and don’t shed innocent blood in this place, and don’t walk after other gods to your own hurt,
les haré morar en este lugar, en la tierra que di a sus de ustedes padres «para siempre.»

Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.

He aquí, ustedes confían en palabras de mentira, que no aprovechan.

Hurtando robando, matando, adulterando, jurando en falso, e incensando a Baal, y andando tras dioses extraños que no conocieron,

Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;

¿vendrán y se pondrán delante de mí en esta casa sobre la cual es invocado mi nombre, y dirán: Librados somos; para seguir haciendo todas estas abominaciones?

And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?

¿Es cueva de ladrones delante de sus de ustedes ojos esta casa sobre la cual es invocado mi nombre? He aquí que también yo lo veo, dice Jehová.

Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.

Vayan ahora a mi lugar en Silo, donde hice morar mi nombre al principio, y observen lo que le hice por la maldad de mi pueblo Israel.

But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.

Ahora, pues, por cuanto ustedes han hecho todas estas obras, dice Jehová, y aunque les hablé «desde temprano y sin cesar,»* no oyeron, y les llamé, y no respondieron;

haré también a esta casa sobre la cual es invocado mi nombre, en la que ustedes confían, y a este lugar que di a ustedes y a sus de ustedes padres, como hice a Silo.

Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.

Les echaré de mi presencia, como eché a todos sus de ustedes hermanos, a toda la generación de Efraín.

And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.

Los hijos recogen la leña, los padres encienden el fuego, y las mujeres amasan la masa, para hacer tortas a la reina del cielo y para hacer ofrendas a dioses ajenos, para provocarme a ira.

Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?

Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: He aquí que mi furor y mi ira se derramarán sobre este lugar, sobre los hombres, sobre los animales, sobre los árboles del campo y sobre los frutos de la tierra; se encenderán, y no se apagarán.

Porque no hablé yo con sus de ustedes padres, ni nada les mandé acerca de holocaustos y de víctimas el día que los saqué de la tierra de Egipto.

For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:

Mas esto les mandé, diciendo: Escuchen mi voz, y seré a ustedes por Dios, y ustedes me serán por pueblo; y anden en todo camino que les mande, para que les vaya bien.

But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.

Les dirás, por tanto: Esta es la nación que no escuchó la voz de Jehová su Dios, ni admitió corrección; pereció la verdad, y de la boca de ellos fue cortada.

But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
You shall tell them, ‘This is the nation that has not listened to the LORD their God’s voice, nor received instruction. Truth has perished, and is cut off from their mouth.’

Y han edificado los lugares altos de Tofet, que está en el valle del hijo de Hinom, para quemar al fuego a sus hijos y a sus hijas, cosa que yo no les mandé, ni subió en mi corazón.

And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.
