Ponte a la puerta del templo del Señor, y predica allí este sermón, hablando en los términos siguientes: Oíd la palabra del Señor todos vosotros, ¡oh hijos de Judá!, que entráis por estas puertas para adorar al Señor.
Ponte á la puerta de la casa de Jehová, y predica allí esta palabra, y di: Oid palabra de Jehová, todo Judá, los que entráis por estas puertas para adorar á Jehová.
Stand in the gate of the LORD’s house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.
“Stand in the gate of the LORD’s house, and proclaim this word there, and say, ‘Hear the LORD’s word, all you of Judah, who enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.’”
Esto dice el Señor de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Enmendad vuestra conducta y vuestras aficiones, y yo habitaré con vosotros en este lugar.
Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Mejorad vuestros caminos y vuestras obras, y os haré morar en este lugar.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel says, “Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
No pongáis vuestra confianza en aquellas vanas y falaces expresiones, diciendo: Este es el templo del Señor, el templo del Señor, el templo del Señor.
No fiéis en palabras de mentira, diciendo: Templo de Jehová, templo de Jehová, templo de Jehová es éste.
Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these.
Don’t trust in lying words, saying, ‘The LORD’s temple, the LORD’s temple, the LORD’s temple, are these.’
Porque si enderezáreis al bien vuestras acciones y vuestros deseos; si administráreis justicia entre hombre y hombre;
Mas si mejorareis cumplidamente vuestros caminos y vuestras obras; si con exactitud hiciereis derecho entre el hombre y su prójimo,
For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;
For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor;
si no hiciereis agravio al forastero, y al huérfano, y a la viuda, ni derramáreis la sangre inocente en este lugar; y no anduviereis en pos de dioses ajenos para vuestra misma ruina:
Ni oprimiereis al peregrino, al huérfano, y á la viuda, ni en este lugar derramareis la sangre inocente, ni anduviereis en pos de dioses ajenos para mal vuestro;
If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:
if you don’t oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, and don’t shed innocent blood in this place, and don’t walk after other gods to your own hurt,
Yo habitaré con vosotros en este lugar, en esta tierra que di a vuestros padres por siglos y siglos.
Os haré morar en este lugar, en la tierra que dí á vuestros padres para siempre.
Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.

Pero vosotros estáis muy confiados en palabras mentirosas o vanas, que de nada os aprovecharán.
He aquí vosotros os confiáis en palabras de mentira, que no aprovechan.
Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.

Vosotros hurtáis, matáis, cometéis adulterios; vosotros juráis en falso, hacéis libaciones a Baal, y os vais en pos de dioses ajenos que no conocíais.
¿Hurtando, matando, y adulterando, y jurando falso, é incensando á Baal, y andando tras dioses extraños que no conocisteis,
Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;
Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods that you have not known,
Y después de esto venís aún, y os presentáis delante de mí en este templo en que es invocado mi Nombre, y decís vanamente confiados: Ya estamos a cubierto de todos los males, aunque hayamos cometido todas esas abominaciones.
Vendréis y os pondréis delante de mí en esta casa sobre la cual es invocado mi nombre, y diréis: Librados somos: para hacer todas estas abominaciones?
And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?
then come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, ‘We are delivered,’ that you may do all these abominations?
Pues, ¿este templo mío en que se invoca mi Nombre, ha venido a ser para vosotros una guarida de ladrones? Yo, yo soy, yo mismo soy el que he visto vuestras abominaciones, dice el Señor.
¿Es cueva de ladrones delante de vuestros ojos esta casa, sobre la cual es invocado mi nombre? He aquí que también yo veo, dice Jehová.
Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.

Y si no, id a Silo, lugar de mi morada, donde al principio estuvo la gloria de mi Nombre, y considerad lo que hice con él por causa de la malicia de mi pueblo de Israel.
Andad empero ahora á mi lugar que fué en Silo, donde hice que morase mi nombre al principio, y ved lo que le hice por la maldad de mi pueblo Israel.
But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.
“But go now to my place which was in Shiloh, where I caused my name to dwell at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.
Ahora bien, por cuanto habéis hecho todas estas fechorías, dice el Señor, y en vista de que yo os he predicado, y os he avisado con tiempo y exhortado, y vosotros no me habéis escuchado; y que os he llamado, y no me habéis respondido,
Ahora pues, por cuanto habéis vosotros hecho todas estas obras, dice Jehová, y bien que os hablé, madrugando para hablar, no oísteis, y os llamé, y no respondisteis;
And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;

yo haré con esta casa, en que se ha invocado mi Nombre, y en la cual vosotros tenéis vuestra confianza, y con este lugar que os señalé a vosotros, y a vuestros padres, haré, digo, lo mismo que hice con Silo.
Haré también á esta casa sobre la cual es invocado mi nombre, en la que vosotros confiáis, y á este lugar que dí á vosotros y á vuestros padres, como hice á Silo:
Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.

Y os arrojaré de mi presencia, como arrojé a todos vuestros hermanos de las diez tribus, a toda la raza de Efraín.
Que os echaré de mi presencia como eché á todos vuestros hermanos, á toda la generación de Ephraim.
And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.

Así, pues, no tienes tú, Jeremías, que interceder por este pueblo, ni te empeñes por ellos en cantar mis alabanzas y rogarme; ni te me opongas, porque no he de escucharte.
Tú pues, no ores por este pueblo, ni levantes por ellos clamor ni oración, ni me ruegues; porque no te oiré.
Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.
“Therefore don’t pray for this people. Don’t lift up a cry or prayer for them or make intercession to me; for I will not hear you.
¿Por ventura no estás viendo tú mismo lo que hacen estos hombres en las ciudades de Judá y en las plazas públicas de Jerusalén ?
¿No ves lo que estos hacen en las ciudades de Judá y en las calles de Jerusalem?
Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
Don’t you see what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
Los hijos recogen la leña, encienden el fuego los padres, y las mujeres amasan la pasta con manteca, para hacer tortas, y presentarlas a la que adoran por reina del cielo, y ofrecer libaciones a los dioses ajenos, y provocar mi ira.
Los hijos cogen la leña, y los padres encienden el fuego, y las mujeres amasan la masa, para hacer tortas á la reina del cielo y para hacer ofrendas á dioses ajenos, por provocarme á ira.
The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

Pero, ¿es acaso a mí, dice el Señor, a quien irritan ellos, y perjudican? ¿No es más bien a sí mismos a quien hacen daño, cubriéndose así de ignominia?
¿Provocaránme ellos á ira, dice Jehová, y no más bien obran ellos mismos para confusión de sus rostros?
Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?
Do they provoke me to anger?” says the LORD. “Don’t they provoke themselves, to the confusion of their own faces?”
Por tanto esto dice el Señor Dios: Ya mi furor y mi indignación está para descargar contra ese lugar que han profanado, contra los hombres y las bestias, contra los árboles de la campiña, y contra los frutos de la tierra, y todo arderá y no se apagará.
Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí que mi furor y mi ira se derrama sobre este lugar, sobre los hombres, sobre los animales, y sobre los árboles del campo, y sobre los frutos de la tierra; y encenderáse, y no se apagará.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.
Therefore the Lord GOD says: “Behold, my anger and my wrath will be poured out on this place, on man, on animal, on the trees of the field, and on the fruit of the ground; and it will burn and will not be quenched.”
Esto dice el Señor de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel: Añadid vuestros holocaustos a vuestras víctimas, y comed sus carnes;
Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Añadid vuestros holocaustos sobre vuestros sacrificios, y comed carne.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh.
The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel says: “Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices and eat meat.
puesto que cuando yo saqué de la tierra de Egipto a vuestros padres, no les hablé ni mandé cosa alguna en materia de holocaustos y de víctimas.
Porque no hablé yo con vuestros padres, ni les mandé el día que los saqué de la tierra de Egipto, acerca de holocaustos y de víctimas:
For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:
For I didn’t speak to your fathers or command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices;
Ved aquí el mandamiento que entonces les di: Escuchad mi voz, les dije, y yo seré vuestro Dios, y vosotros seréis el pueblo mío; y seguid constantemente el camino que os he señalado, a fin de que seais felices.
Mas esto les mandé, diciendo: Escuchad mi voz, y seré á vosotros por Dios, y vosotros me seréis por pueblo; y andad en todo camino que os mandare, para que os vaya bien.
But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
but this thing I commanded them, saying, ‘Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. Walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’
Sin embargo, ellos no me escucharon, ni hicieron caso de eso, sino que se abandonaron a sus apetitos, y a la depravación de su malvado corazón; y en lugar de ir hacia adelante, fueron hacia atrás,
Y no oyeron ni inclinaron su oído; antes caminaron en sus consejos, en la dureza de su corazón malvado, y fueron hacia atrás y no hacia adelante,
But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

desde el día mismo en que salieron sus padres de la tierra de Egipto, hasta el día de hoy. Y yo os envié a vosotros todos mis siervos los profetas; cada día me daba prisa a enviarlos.
Desde el día que vuestros padres salieron de la tierra de Egipto hasta hoy. Y os envié á todos los profetas mis siervos, cada día madrugando y enviándolos:
Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:

Mas los hijos de mi pueblo no me escucharon, sino que se hicieron sordos y endurecieron su cerviz, y se portaron peor que sus padres.
Mas no me oyeron ni inclinaron su oído; antes endurecieron su cerviz, é hicieron peor que sus padres.
Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.

Tú, pues, les dirás todas estas palabras; mas no te escucharán. Los llamarás; mas no te responderán.

Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.
“You shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you. You shall also call to them, but they will not answer you.
Y así les dirás: Esta es aquella nación que no ha escuchado la voz del Señor Dios suyo, ni ha admitido sus instrucciones. Muerta está su fe o fidelidad; desterrada está de su boca.
Les dirás por tanto: Esta es la gente que no escuchó la voz de Jehová su Dios, ni tomó corrección; perdióse la fe, y de la boca de ellos fué cortada.
But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
You shall tell them, ‘This is the nation that has not listened to the LORD their God’s voice, nor received instruction. Truth has perished, and is cut off from their mouth.’
Corta tu cabello, y arrójalo, y ponte a llorar en alta voz, porque el Señor ha desechado y abandonado esta generación, digna de su cólera.
Trasquila tu cabello, y arrójalo, y levanta llanto sobre las alturas; porque Jehová ha aborrecido y dejado la nación de su ira.
Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.

Pues los hijos de Judá han obrado el mal ante mis ojos, dice el Señor, pusieron sus escándalos o ídolos en el templo en que se invoca mi Nombre, a fin de contaminarlo;
Porque los hijos de Judá han hecho lo malo ante mis ojos, dice Jehová; pusieron sus abominaciones en la casa sobre la cual mi nombre fué invocado, amancillándola.
For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.
“For the children of Judah have done that which is evil in my sight,” says the LORD. “They have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.
y edificaron altares o lugares altos en Tofet, situada en el valle del hijo de Ennom, para consumir en el fuego a sus hijos e hijas; cosa que yo no mandé, ni me pasó por el pensamiento.
Y han edificado los altos de Topheth, que es en el valle del hijo de Hinnom, para quemar al fuego sus hijos y sus hijas, cosa que yo no les mandé, ni subió en mi corazón.
And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.
They have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I didn’t command, nor did it come into my mind.
Por tanto, ya viene el tiempo, dice el Señor, y no se llamará más Tofet, ni Valle del hijo de Ennom; sino Valle de la Mortandad; y enterrarán en Tofet por falta de otro sitio.
Por tanto, he aquí vendrán días, ha dicho Jehová, que no se diga más, Topheth, ni valle del hijo de Hinnom, sino Valle de la Matanza; y serán enterrados en Topheth, por no haber lugar.
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.
Therefore behold, the days come”, says the LORD, “that it will no more be called ‘Topheth’ or ‘The valley of the son of Hinnom’, but ‘The valley of Slaughter’; for they will bury in Topheth until there is no place to bury.
Y los cadáveres de este pueblo serán pasto de las aves del cielo y de las bestias de la tierra; y no habrá nadie que las ahuyente.
Y serán los cuerpos muertos de este pueblo para comida de las aves del cielo y de las bestias de la tierra; y no habrá quien las espante.
And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.
The dead bodies of this people will be food for the birds of the sky, and for the animals of the earth. No one will frighten them away.
Y haré que no se oiga en las ciudades de Judá, ni en las plazas de Jerusalén voz de regocijo y de alegría, voz de esposo y de esposa, porque toda la tierra quedará desolada.
Y haré cesar de las ciudades de Judá, y de la calles de Jerusalem, voz de gozo y voz de alegría, voz de esposo y voz de esposa; porque la tierra será en desolación.
Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.
Then I will cause to cease from the cities of Judah and from the streets of Jerusalem the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride; for the land will become a waste.”
