bien es verdad que yo sabía que siempre me oyes; mas lo he dicho por este pueblo que está alrededor de mí, con el fin de que crean que tú eres el que me has enviado.

Que yo sabía que siempre me oyes; mas por causa de la compañía que está alrededor, lo dije, para que crean que tú me has enviado.

And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

I know that you always listen to me, but because of the multitude standing around I said this, that they may believe that you sent me.”
