Es stand aber das jüdische Passah nahe bevor, und viele Leute zogen aus dem (ganzen) Lande schon vor dem Passah nach Jerusalem hinauf, um sich zu heiligen.

Y la Pascua de los Judíos estaba cerca: y muchos subieron de aquella tierra á Jerusalem antes de la Pascua, para purificarse;

And the Jews’ passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.

Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand. Many went up from the country to Jerusalem before the Passover, to purify themselves.
