{Nun (Aber)} Es war jemand krank †geworden, Lazarus aus Betanien, aus dem Dorf von Maria und ihrer Schwester Marta.

ESTABA entonces enfermo uno llamado Lázaro, de Bethania, la aldea de María y de Marta su hermana.

Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

Es war {übrigens (nun, aber)} Maria, die den Herrn †mit Salböl gesalbt (übergossen, eingerieben) und †dann seine Füße †mit ihren Haaren abgetrocknet hatte, deren Brüder Lazarus krank war.

(Y María, cuyo hermano Lázaro estaba enfermo, era la que ungió al Señor con ungüento, y limpió sus pies con sus cabellos.)

(It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)

Die Schwestern schickten also †eine Nachricht zu ihm und ließen ihm ausrichten: „Herr, {schau}, der, den du lieb hast, ist krank!“

Enviaron, pues, sus hermanas á él, diciendo: Señor, he aquí, el que amas está enfermo.

Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.

The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, “Lord, behold, he for whom you have great affection is sick.”

Als Jesus das hörte, sagte er: „Diese Krankheit führt nicht zum Tod, sondern †dient zur Verherrlichung (Ehre, Herrlichkeit) Gottes, damit der Sohn Gottes durch sie verherrlicht wird.“

Y oyéndolo Jesús, dijo: Esta enfermedad no es para muerte, mas por gloria de Dios, para que el Hijo de Dios sea glorificado por ella.

When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

But when Jesus heard it, he said, “This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that God’s Son may be glorified by it.”

Jesus hatte (liebte) Marta, {und} ihre Schwester und Lazarus jedoch sehr lieb.

Y amaba Jesús á Marta, y á su hermana, y á Lázaro.

Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

Als er dann hörte, dass †Lazarus krank war, da blieb er noch zwei weitere Tage an dem Ort, wo er war.

Como oyó pues que estaba enfermo, quedóse aún dos días en aquel lugar donde estaba.

When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.

When therefore he heard that he was sick, he stayed two days in the place where he was.

Danach sagte er zu den Jüngern: „Gehen wir wieder nach Judäa!“

Luego, después de esto, dijo á los discípulos: Vamos á Judea otra vez.

Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judæa again.

Then after this he said to the disciples, “Let’s go into Judea again.”

Die Jünger wandten ein (sagten) {zu ihm}: „Rabbi (Lehrer), die Juden haben gerade erst versucht dich zu steinigen, und du möchtest wieder (zurück) dorthin gehen?“

Dícenle los discípulos: Rabbí, ahora procuraban los Judíos apedrearte, ¿y otra vez vas allá?

His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?

The disciples asked him, “Rabbi, the Jews were just trying to stone you. Are you going there again?”

Jesus erwiderte: „Sind †in einem Tag nicht zwölf Stunden? Wenn man (Wer) sich tagsüber (während des Tages) fortbewegt (umhergeht), stößt (stolpert) man sich nirgends an, weil man das Licht dieser Welt sieht.

Respondió Jesús: ¿No tiene el día doce horas? El que anduviere de día, no tropieza, porque ve la luz de este mundo.

Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

Jesus answered, “Aren’t there twelve hours of daylight? If a man walks in the day, he doesn’t stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

Wenn man (Wer) sich aber nachts (während der Nacht) fortbewegt (umhergeht), stößt (stolpert) man sich an, weil das Licht nicht in einem ist.“

Mas el que anduviere de noche, tropieza, porque no hay luz en él.

But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

But if a man walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light isn’t in him.”

Dies (Diese Dinge) sagte er, und danach sagt er ihnen: Lazarus, unser Freund ruht (schläft, ist eingeschlafen, hat sich schlafen gelegt) aber ich gehe, um ihn aufzuwecken.

Dicho esto, díceles después: Lázaro nuestro amigo duerme; mas voy á despertarle del sueño.

These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

He said these things, and after that, he said to them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going so that I may awake him out of sleep.”

Es sagten ihm also die Jünger: Herr, wenn er ruht (schläft, eingeschlafen ist, sich schlafen gelegt hat), wird er bewahrt (gerettet) werden.

Dijeron entonces sus discípulos: Señor, si duerme, salvo estará.

Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.

The disciples therefore said, “Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.”

Jesus aber hatte über seinen Tod gesprochen. Sie (Jene) aber meinten, daß er über das Ruhen (Schlafen) des Schlafes spricht.

Mas esto decía Jesús de la muerte de él: y ellos pensaron que hablaba del reposar del sueño.

Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.

Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that he spoke of taking rest in sleep.

Dann also sagte ihnen Jesus offen (mit Offenheit, mit Freimut): Lazarua ist gestorben,

Entonces, pues, Jesús les dijo claramente: Lázaro es muerto;

Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

So Jesus said to them plainly then, “Lazarus is dead.

und ich freue mich Euretwegen (wegen Euch), daß ich nicht dort war, damit ihr glaubt (damit Ihr glaubt, weil ich nicht dort war). Aber laßt uns zu ihm gehen.

Y huélgome por vosotros, que yo no haya estado allí, para que creáis: mas vamos á él.

And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.

I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, so that you may believe. Nevertheless, let’s go to him.”

Thomas, der Zwilling genannt wird, sagte also den Mitjüngern: Laßt auch uns gehen, damit wir mit ihm sterben.

Dijo entonces Tomás, el que se dice el Dídimo, á sus condiscípulos: Vamos también nosotros, para que muramos con él.

Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellowdisciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.

Thomas therefore, who is called Didymus, said to his fellow disciples, “Let’s also go, that we may die with him.”

{Der} Jesus ging und fand ihn also (, nachdem er) schon vier Tage im Grab liegen (gelegen war).

Vino pues Jesús, y halló que había ya cuatro días que estaba en el sepulcro.

Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.

So when Jesus came, he found that he had been in the tomb four days already.

Betanien war aber nahe bei Jerusalem, etwa 15 Stadien weit.

Y Bethania estaba cerca de Jerusalem, como quince estadios;

Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:

Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about fifteen stadia away.

Viele aber von (aus) den Juden waren zu {der} Marta und Maria gekommen, um sie über ihren Bruder zu trösten.

Y muchos de los Judíos habían venido á Marta y á María, á consolarlas de su hermano.

And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.

Many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to console them concerning their brother.

{Die} Marta also, wie sie hörte, daß Jesus kommt, ging ihm entgegen. Maria aber saß in dem Haus.

Entonces Marta, como oyó que Jesús venía, salió á encontrarle; mas María se estuvo en casa.

Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.

Then when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary stayed in the house.

Da (nun) sagte Marta zu Jesus: „Herr, wenn du hier gewesen wärest, dann wäre mein Bruder nicht gestorben!

Y Marta dijo á Jesús: Señor, si hubieses estado aquí, mi hermano no fuera muerto;

Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

Therefore Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you would have been here, my brother wouldn’t have died.

Auch (und) jetzt weiß ich, dass Gott dir alles, worum du ihn bittest, geben wird.“

Mas también sé ahora, que todo lo que pidieres de Dios, te dará Dios.

But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.

Even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you.”

Jesus sagte zu ihr: „Dein Bruder wird auferstehen!“

Dícele Jesús: Resucitará tu hermano.

Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

Marta meinte (sagte) {zu ihm}: „Ich weiß, dass er bei (während) der Auferstehung am letzten (jüngsten) Tag auferstehen wird.“

Marta le dice: Yo sé que resucitará en la resurrección en el día postrero.

Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”

Jesus sagte zu ihr: „Ich bin die Auferstehung und das Leben. Wer an mich glaubt (auf mich vertraut), wird leben, auch wenn er stirbt!

Dícele Jesús: Yo soy la resurrección y la vida: el que cree en mí, aunque esté muerto, vivirá.

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies.

Und jeder, der lebt und an mich glaubt (auf mich vertraut), wird sicher nicht für immer sterben. Glaubst du das?“

Y todo aquel que vive y cree en mí, no morirá eternamente. ¿Crees esto?

And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Sie rief (sagte): „Ja, Herr, ich glaube daran, dass du der Messias (Christus) bist, der Sohn Gottes, der in die Welt kommen soll (kommt)!“

Dícele: Sí, Señor; yo he creído que tú eres el Cristo, el Hijo de Dios, que has venido al mundo.

She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

She said to him, “Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Christ, God’s Son, he who comes into the world.”

Und nachdem sie dies gesagt hatte, ging sie hin (weg) und rief heimlich Maria, ihre Schwester (herbei), indem sie †ihr sagte: Der Lehrer ist hier (da) und ruft Dich.

Y esto dicho, fuése, y llamó en secreto á María su hermana, diciendo: El Maestro está aquí y te llama.

And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.

When she had said this, she went away and called Mary, her sister, secretly, saying, “The Teacher is here and is calling you.”

Jene aber, wie sie †es hörte, stand schnell auf und ging (kam) zu ihm.

Ella, como lo oyó, levántase prestamente y viene á él.

As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.

When she heard this, she arose quickly and went to him.

{Der} Jesus aber war noch nicht in das Dorf gegangen (gekommen), sondern er war noch an dem Ort, wo Marta ihm entgegengekommen war.

(Que aun no había llegado Jesús á la aldea, mas estaba en aquel lugar donde Marta le había encontrado.)

Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.

Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was in the place where Martha met him.

Die Juden also, die mit ihr in dem Haus waren und sie trösteten, folgten ihr, als sie Maria schnell aufstehen und weggehen sahen, weil sie meinten, daß sie zu dem Grab geht, um dort zu weinen (klagen).

Entonces los Judíos que estaban en casa con ella, y la consolaban, como vieron que María se había levantado prestamente, y había salido, siguiéronla, diciendo: Va al sepulcro á llorar allí.

The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep there.

Then the Jews who were with her in the house and were consoling her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, “She is going to the tomb to weep there.”

Maria, als sie †dorthin kam, wo Jesus war, und ihn sah, warf sie sich (fiel) sie vor seine Füße und sagte zu ihm: „Herr, wenn du hier gewesen wärest, dann wäre mein Bruder nicht gestorben!“

Mas María, como vino donde estaba Jesús, viéndole, derribóse á sus pies, diciéndole: Señor, si hubieras estado aquí, no fuera muerto mi hermano.

Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

Therefore when Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying to him, “Lord, if you would have been here, my brother wouldn’t have died.”

Als Jesus daraufhin sah, wie (dass) sie laut weinte (trauerte, klagte), und wie (dass) die †bei ihr (†um sie) versammelten Juden laut weinten (trauerten, klagten), war er innerlich (†im Geist) sehr aufgebracht (wütend, erregt) und erschüttert (aufgewühlt, tief bewegt)

Jesús entonces, como la vió llorando, y á los Judíos que habían venido juntamente con ella llorando, se conmovió en espíritu, y turbóse,

When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,

und sagte: „Wo habt ihr ihn hingelegt?“ Sie antworteten (meinten, sagten) ihm: „Herr, komm †mit und sieh!“

Y dijo: ¿Dónde le pusisteis? Dícenle: Señor, ven, y ve.

And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.

and said, “Where have you laid him?” They told him, “Lord, come and see.”

Jesus musste weinen (kamen die Tränen, begann zu weinen; weinte).

Y lloró Jesús.

Jesus wept.

Jesus wept.

Da (daraufhin, darum) sagten die Juden: „Schaut, wie lieb er ihn hatte.“

Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

The Jews therefore said, “See how much affection he had for him!”

Aber manche von ihnen meinten (sagten): „Er, der die Augen des Blinden geöffnet hat, konnte nichts tun, damit †Lazarus nicht sterben musste?“

Y algunos de ellos dijeron: ¿No podía éste que abrió los ojos al ciego, hacer que éste no muriera?

And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?

Some of them said, “Couldn’t this man, who opened the eyes of him who was blind, have also kept this man from dying?”

Jesus also – ein weiteres Mal innerlich (in sich) sehr aufgebracht (wütend, erregt; aufbrausend, schnaubend, seufzend) – kommt zu dem Grab: Es war aber eine Höhle und ein Stein lag auf ihm (ihr).

Y Jesús, conmoviéndose otra vez en sí mismo, vino al sepulcro. Era una cueva, la cual tenía una piedra encima.

Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.

{Der} Jesus sagt: Nehmt den Stein weg. Die Schwester des Gestorbenen, Marta, sagt ihm: Herr, er stinkt (riecht) schon – er ist nämlich schon vier Tage †tot (viertägig).

Dice Jesús: Quitad la piedra. Marta, la hermana del que se había muerto, le dice: Señor, hiede ya, que es de cuatro días.

Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.”

{Der} Jesus sagt ihr: Habe ich Dir nicht gesagt: {daß} Wenn Du glaubtst, wirst du die Herrlichkeit Gottes sehen?

Jesús le dice: ¿No te he dicho que, si creyeres, verás la gloria de Dios?

Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see God’s glory?”

Da (also) hoben (entfernten, nahmen) sie den Stein weg. {und (aber)} Jesus richtete seine Augen nach oben und sprach (sagte): „Vater, ich danke dir, dass du mich erhört hast.

Entonces quitaron la piedra de donde el muerto había sido puesto. Y Jesús, alzando los ojos arriba, dijo: Padre, gracias te doy que me has oído.

Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

So they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank you that you listened to me.

Ich wusste ja, dass du mich immer erhörst, aber ich sage es (habe gesagt) es wegen der beistehenden Leute, damit sie glauben, dass du mich gesandt hast.“

Que yo sabía que siempre me oyes; mas por causa de la compañía que está alrededor, lo dije, para que crean que tú me has enviado.

And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

I know that you always listen to me, but because of the multitude standing around I said this, that they may believe that you sent me.”

Und nachdem er das gesagt hatte, rief er †mit lauter Stimme: „Lazarus, komm heraus!“

Y habiendo dicho estas cosas, clamó á gran voz: Lázaro, ven fuera.

And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

When he had said this, he cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”

Der Verstorbene kam heraus, an Füßen und Händen mit Binden gebunden (umwickelt, gefesselt), und sein Gesicht war mit einem Tuch (Gesichtstuch) umwickelt worden. Jesus sagte zu ihnen: „Befreit ihn, dann (und) lasst ihn gehen!“

Y el que había estado muerto, salió, atadas las manos y los pies con vendas; y su rostro estaba envuelto en un sudario. Díceles Jesús: Desatadle, y dejadle ir.

And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

He who was dead came out, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Free him, and let him go.”

Viele also von (aus) den Juden, die zu {der} Maria gekommen waren und gesehen hatten, was er getan hatte, glaubten (kamen zum Glauben) an ihn.

Entonces muchos de los Judíos que habían venido á María, y habían visto lo que había hecho Jesús, creyeron en él.

Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

Therefore many of the Jews who came to Mary and saw what Jesus did believed in him.

Einige aber von (aus) ihnen gingen (weg, hin) zu den Pharisäern und sagten ihnen, was Jesus getan hatte.

Mas algunos de ellos fueron á los Fariseos, y dijéronles lo que Jesús había hecho.

But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.

But some of them went away to the Pharisees and told them the things which Jesus had done.

Die Hohenpriester und die Pharisäer versammelten also ein Synedrium (brachten also eine Sitzung des Hohen Rates zusammen) und sagten: Was tun (machen, verwirklichen) wir, da dieser Mensch viele Zeichen tut (macht, verwirklicht; denn dieser Mensch tut viele Zeichen)?

Entonces los pontífices y los Fariseos juntaron concilio, y decían: ¿Qué hacemos? porque este hombre hace muchas señales.

Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.

The chief priests therefore and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, “What are we doing? For this man does many signs.

Wenn wir ihn so lassen, werden alle an ihn glauben, und die Röme werden kommen und (von) uns sowohl den Ort (den Tempel, Jerusalem) wie das Volk wegnehmen (nehmen).

Si le dejamos así, todos creerán en él: y vendrán los Romanos, y quitarán nuestro lugar y la nación.

If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

If we leave him alone like this, everyone will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.”

Doch einer, von ihnen, ein gewisser Kajaphas, der in jenem Jahr Hoherpriester war, sagte ihnen: „Ihr wisst doch überhaupt nichts,

Y Caifás, uno de ellos, sumo pontífice de aquel año, les dijo: Vosotros no sabéis nada;

And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,

But a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all,

und ihr versteht nicht, dass es besser (vorteilhaft) für euch wäre, wenn (dass) ein Mann (Mensch) anstelle (für, zugunsten) des Volkes stirbt, als dass (und nicht) das ganze †jüdische Volk (Nation) untergeht (vernichtet wird, verloren geht).“

Ni pensáis que nos conviene que un hombre muera por el pueblo, y no que toda la nación se pierda.

Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

nor do you consider that it is advantageous for us that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish.”

Das sagte er aber nicht von sich aus, sondern weil er in jenem Jahr Hoherpriester war, machte er die Prophezeiung (prophezeite, sagte voraus), dass (denn) Jesus anstelle (für, zugunsten) des †jüdischen Volkes (Nation) sterben würde (musste),

Mas esto no lo dijo de sí mismo; sino que, como era el sumo pontífice de aquel año, profetizó que Jesús había de morir por la nación:

And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

Now he didn’t say this of himself, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,

und nicht nur anstelle (für, zugunsten) des †jüdischen Volkes (Nation) allein, sondern um die verstreuten Kinder Gottes zu einem †Volk (an einem †Ort) zusammenzuführen (zu versammeln).

Y no solamente por aquella nación, mas también para que juntase en uno los hijos de Dios que estaban derramados.

And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.

Von jenem Tag an also überlegten (beratschlagten, beschlossen) sie, ihn zu töten.

Así que, desde aquel día consultaban juntos de matarle.

Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.

So from that day forward they took counsel that they might put him to death.

{Der} Jesus also zog nicht mehr öffentlich (in †der Öffentlichkeit) unter den Juden umher, sondern er ging weg von dort in die Gegend nahe der Wüste (Einöde), in eine Stadt, die Efraim heißt (genannt wird), und dort blieb (verweilte) er mit den Jüngern.

Por tanto, Jesús ya no andaba manifiestamente entre los Judíos; mas fuése de allí á la tierra que está junto al desierto, á una ciudad que se llama Ephraim: y estábase allí con sus discípulos.

Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.

Es war aber nahe das Paschafest (Pascha) der Juden und viele aus dem Land (der Gegend) stiegen (gingen) vor dem Paschafest (Fest, Pascha) nach Jerusalem hinauf, um sich zu reinigen.

Y la Pascua de los Judíos estaba cerca: y muchos subieron de aquella tierra á Jerusalem antes de la Pascua, para purificarse;

And the Jews’ passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.

Sie suchten also {den} Jesus und sagten zueinander (redeten miteinander), wie sie im Tempel standen: Was meint Ihr (scheint Euch)? Daß er vielleicht (gewiß) nicht zu dem Fest kommt?

Y buscaban á Jesús, y hablaban los unos con los otros estando en el templo: ¿Qué os parece, que no vendrá á la fiesta?

Then sought they for Jesus, and spake among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think ye, that he will not come to the feast?

Es hatten aber die Hohenpriester und die Pharisäer befohlen (Befehle gegeben), daß, wenn jemand (einer) erfährt (weiß), wo er sich aufhält (ist), er †(ihn, es) anzeige (verrate), damit sie ihn festnehmen (ergreifen) †können.
