{aber} Vor dem Passafest, weil Jesus wusste, dass seine Zeit (Stunde) gekommen war, aus dieser Welt zum Vater hinüberzugehen (zu verlassen), und weil er die liebte, die in der Welt zu ihm gehören, zeigte er seine Liebe für (liebte) sie, bis zum Ende (zur Vollendung).

ANTES de la fiesta de la Pascua, sabiendo Jesús que su hora había venido para que pasase de este mundo al Padre, como había amado á los suyos que estaban en el mundo, amólos hasta el fin.

Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

Now before the feast of the Passover, Jesus, knowing that his time had come that he would depart from this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

Und während †das Abendessen stattfand, als der Teufel (Verleumder) Judas Simon Iskariot bereits †den Plan ins Herz gegeben (gelegt) hatte, †Jesus zu verraten (auszuliefern),

Y la cena acabada, como el diablo ya había metido en el corazón de Judas, hijo de Simón Iscariote, que le entregase,

And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him;

und da er sich bewusst war (wusste), dass ihm der Vater alles in die Hände gegeben hatte und dass er von Gott aus gekommen war und zu Gott gehen würde,

Sabiendo Jesús que el Padre le había dado todas las cosas en las manos, y que había salido de Dios, y á Dios iba,

Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;

Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he came from God and was going to God,

stand er vom Abendessen auf, {und} legte seine Obergewänder ab und nahm ein Handtuch, †das er sich um die Hüfte band.

Levántase de la cena, y quítase su ropa, y tomando una toalla, ciñóse.

He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.

arose from supper, and laid aside his outer garments. He took a towel and wrapped a towel around his waist.

Dann (danach) goss er Wasser in ein Becken und fing an, die Füße der Jünger zu waschen und mit dem Handtuch abzutrocknen, das er umgebunden hatte.

Luego puso agua en un lebrillo, y comenzó á lavar los pies de los discípulos, y á limpiarlos con la toalla con que estaba ceñido.

After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

Then he poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

Schließlich kam er zu Simon Petrus. Der sagte zu ihm: „Herr du wäschst mir die Füße?“

Entonces vino á Simón Pedro; y Pedro le dice: ¿Señor, tú me lavas los pies?

Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?

Then he came to Simon Peter. He said to him, “Lord, do you wash my feet?”

Jesus erwiderte {und sagte zu ihm}: „Was ich mache (tue), verstehst (weißt) du jetzt noch nicht, aber hinterher (später) wirst du es begreifen (verstehen, erfahren, wissen).“

Respondió Jesús, y díjole: Lo que yo hago, tú no entiendes ahora; mas lo entenderás después.

Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

Jesus answered him, “You don’t know what I am doing now, but you will understand later.”

†Da rief (sagte) Petrus {zu ihm}: „Du wirst (sollst) mir ''niemals'' die Füße waschen!“ Jesus entgegnete {ihm}: „Wenn ich dich nicht wasche, hast du keinen Anteil an (Erbe, Gemeinschaft mit, Platz bei) mir!“

Dícele Pedro: No me lavarás los pies jamás. Respondióle Jesús: Si no te lavare, no tendrás parte conmigo.

Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

Peter said to him, “You will never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I don’t wash you, you have no part with me.”

†Da meinte (sagte) Simon Petrus: „Herr, †dann wasche mir nicht nur die Füße, sondern auch die Hände und den Kopf!“

Dícele Simón Pedro: Señor, no sólo mis pies, mas aun las manos y la cabeza.

Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.

Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!”

Jesus sagte zu ihm: „Wer gebadet hat, braucht sich abgesehen von den Füßen nicht zu waschen, sondern ist ganz sauber. Auch ihr seid sauber, wenn auch nicht alle.“

Dícele Jesús: El que está lavado, no necesita sino que lave los pies, mas está todo limpio: y vosotros limpios estáis, aunque no todos.

Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.

Jesus said to him, “Someone who has bathed only needs to have his feet washed, but is completely clean. You are clean, but not all of you.”

Er kannte nämlich (ja, denn) denjenigen, der ihn verraten (ausliefern) würde. Deswegen sagte er: {dass} „Nicht alle †von euch sind sauber.“

Porque sabía quién le había de entregar; por eso dijo: No estáis limpios todos.

For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.

For he knew him who would betray him; therefore he said, “You are not all clean.”

Nachdem er {nun (also, dann)} ihre Füße gewaschen, {und} seine Obergewänder angezogen (an sich genommen) und wieder Platz genommen hatte, fragte (sagte, meinte) er sie: „Wisst (versteht, erkennt) ihr, was ich †für (mit, an) euch getan habe?

Así que, después que les hubo lavado los pies, y tomado su ropa, volviéndose á sentar á la mesa, díjoles: ¿Sabéis lo que os he hecho?

So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?

So when he had washed their feet, put his outer garment back on, and sat down again, he said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you?

Ihr nennt mich »Lehrer« und »Herr«, und das sagt ihr mit Recht (zurecht, gut, richtig), denn (ja) das bin ich.

Vosotros me llamáis, Maestro, y, Señor: y decís bien; porque lo soy.

Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

You call me, ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord.’ You say so correctly, for so I am.

Wenn ich euch also (nun, darum) die Füße gewaschen habe, †euer Herr und Lehrer, dann seid auch ihr dazu verpflichtet, einander die Füße zu waschen!

Pues si yo, el Señor y el Maestro, he lavado vuestros pies, vosotros también debéis lavar los pies los unos á los otros.

If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.

If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.

Ich habe euch nämlich (ja, denn) ein Vorbild (Beispiel) gegeben, damit, genau wie ich †für (mit, an) euch gehandelt (gemacht) habe, auch ihr handelt (macht).

Porque ejemplo os he dado, para que como yo os he hecho, vosotros también hagáis.

For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

For I have given you an example, that you should also do as I have done to you.

Wahrlich, wahrlich (Amen, amen), ich sage euch: Ein Sklave ist nicht (Es gibt keinen) größer (besser) als sein Herr, und genauso wenig †ist ein Abgesandter größer (besser) als sein Auftraggeber.

De cierto, de cierto os digo: El siervo no es mayor que su señor, ni el apóstol es mayor que el que le envió.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his lord, neither is one who is sent greater than he who sent him.

Wenn ihr das versteht (wisst), seid ihr glücklich zu nennen (beneidenswert (glücklich)), sofern ihr es auch tut (macht, handelt).

Si sabéis estas cosas, bienaventurados seréis, si las hiciereis.

If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

Ich meine (spreche von/bezüglich) nicht euch alle, †wenn ich sage: Ich weiß, welche ich mir ausgesucht (erwählt) habe, sondern damit die Schrift erfüllt wird: »Der mein Brot isst«, hat »seine Ferse gegen mich« erhoben (sich gegen mich gewandt).

No hablo de todos vosotros: yo sé los que he elegido: mas para que se cumpla la Escritura: El que come pan conmigo, levantó contra mí su calcañar.

I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.

I don’t speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen; but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He who eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.’

Ich sage euch †das schon jetzt, bevor †es geschieht (passiert), damit ihr glaubt (vertraut, Glauben/Vertrauen habt), sobald (wenn) †es geschieht (passiert), dass (denn) ich bin.

Desde ahora os lo digo antes que se haga, para que cuando se hiciere, creáis que yo soy.

Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.

From now on, I tell you before it happens, that when it happens, you may believe that I am he.

Wahrlich, wahrlich (Amen, amen), ich sage euch: Wer denjenigen aufnimmt (annimmt), den ich senden werde, der nimmt mich auf (an), und (aber) wer mich aufnimmt (annimmt), der nimmt meinen Auftraggeber (denjenigen, der mich gesandt hat) an.“

De cierto, de cierto os digo: El que recibe al que yo enviare, á mí recibe; y el que á mí recibe, recibe al que me envió.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

Most certainly I tell you, he who receives whomever I send, receives me; and he who receives me, receives him who sent me.”

Als Jesus das sagte, war er †im Geist erschüttert und bekannte ihnen offen (bezeugte, machte eine Zeugenaussage) {und sagte}: „Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: {dass} Einer von euch wird mich verraten!“

Como hubo dicho Jesús esto, fué conmovido en el espíritu, y protestó, y dijo: De cierto, de cierto os digo, que uno de vosotros me ha de entregar.

When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

When Jesus had said this, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, “Most certainly I tell you that one of you will betray me.”

Die Jünger blickten †von einem zum anderen (einander an) und waren verwirrt †darüber, von wem er sprach.

Entonces los discípulos mirábanse los unos á los otros, dudando de quién decía.

Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake.

The disciples looked at one another, perplexed about whom he spoke.

Einer von seinen Jüngern lag (saß) an der Brust Jesu, †derjenige, den Jesus liebte.

Y uno de sus discípulos, al cual Jesús amaba, estaba recostado en el seno de Jesús.

Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.

One of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was at the table, leaning against Jesus’ chest.

Diesem signalisierte (gab zu verstehen, winkte) {nun} Simon Petrus zu fragen, wer es war, von dem er gesprochen hatte.

A éste, pues, hizo señas Simón Pedro, para que preguntase quién era aquél de quien decía.

Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake.

Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, and said to him, “Tell us who it is of whom he speaks.”

Also (da) lehnte der (jener) sich so an die Brust Jesu, †dass er ihn fragen (zu ihm sagen) †konnte: „Herr, wer ist es?“

El entonces recostándose sobre el pecho de Jesús, dícele: Señor, ¿quién es?

He then lying on Jesus’ breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it?

He, leaning back, as he was, on Jesus’ chest, asked him, “Lord, who is it?”

Jesus antwortete: „Es ist derjenige (jener), dem (für den) ich das Stück Brot eintunken und †dann geben werde.“ Daraufhin tunkte er das Stück Brot ein, nahm es und gab es Judas, †dem Sohn von Simon Iskariot (Judas Iskariot, †dem Sohn Simons).

Respondió Jesús: Aquél es, á quien yo diere el pan mojado. Y mojando el pan, diólo á Judas Iscariote, hijo de Simón.

Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.

Jesus therefore answered, “It is he to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.

Und nach dem Stück Brot fuhr der Satan in ihn (jenen). Deshalb (also, da) sagte Jesus zu ihm: „Was du tust, tu schnell (bald)!“

Y tras el bocado Satanás entró en él. Entonces Jesús le dice: Lo que haces, hazlo más presto.

And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.

After the piece of bread, then Satan entered into him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”

Aber keiner von den zu Tisch Liegenden wusste, warum er das zu ihm sagte;

Mas ninguno de los que estaban á la mesa entendió á qué propósito le dijo esto.

Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him.

Now nobody at the table knew why he said this to him.

manche (einige) glaubten (meinten) nämlich, weil Judas die Geldtasche hatte, dass Jesus zu ihm sagte: „Kaufe ein, was wir für das Fest benötigen“ oder dass er den Armen etwas geben sollte.

Porque los unos pensaban, porque Judas tenía la bolsa, que Jesús le decía: Compra lo que necesitamos para la fiesta: ó, que diese algo á los pobres.

For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.

For some thought, because Judas had the money box, that Jesus said to him, “Buy what things we need for the feast,” or that he should give something to the poor.

Als der Angesprochene (jener) das Stück Brot angenommen hatte, ging er sofort hinaus. Es war {aber} Nacht.

Como él pues hubo tomado el bocado, luego salió: y era ya noche.

He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.

Therefore having received that morsel, he went out immediately. It was night.

Als er also herausgegangen war, sagt Jesus: „Jetzt ist der Sohn des Menschen (der Menschensohn) verherrlicht, und Gott ist in ihm verherrlicht.

Entonces como él salió, dijo Jesús: Ahora es glorificado el Hijo del hombre, y Dios es glorificado en él.

Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.

When he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him.

Wenn Gott in ihm verherrlicht ist, wird Gott auch ihn in sich verherrlichen, und bald wird er ihn verherrlichen.

Si Dios es glorificado en él, Dios también le glorificará en sí mismo, y luego le glorificará.

If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.

If God has been glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and he will glorify him immediately.

Kinder (Kindlein), noch eine kleine Weile bin ich mit Euch. Ihr werdet mich suchen, und wie ich den Juden sagte: {daß} »Wohin ich gehe, dorthin könnt Ihr nicht kommen«, sage ich †das jetzt auch Euch.

Hijitos, aun un poco estoy con vosotros. Me buscaréis; mas, como dije á los Judíos: Donde yo voy, vosotros no podéis venir; así digo á vosotros ahora.

Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.

Little children, I will be with you a little while longer. You will seek me, and as I said to the Jews, ‘Where I am going, you can’t come,’ so now I tell you.

Ein neues Gebot gebe ich Euch, daß Ihr einander liebt, wie ich Euch geliebt habe, damit Ihr auch einander liebt.

Un mandamiento nuevo os doy: Que os améis unos á otros: como os he amado, que también os améis los unos á los otros.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another.

Daran (in diesem) werden alle erkennen, dass ihr meine Jünger seid, wenn ihr Liebe habt zueinander (untereinander).“

En esto conocerán todos que sois mis discípulos, si tuviereis amor los unos con los otros.

By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Sagt ihm Simon Petrus: „Herr, wohin gehst Du?“ Jesus antwortete ihm: „Wohin ich gehe, †dahin kannst Du mir jetzt nicht folgen – Du wirst mir aber später folgen.“

Dícele Simón Pedro: Señor, ¿adónde vas? Respondióle Jesús: Donde yo voy, no me puedes ahora seguir; mas me seguirás después.

Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards.

Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus answered, “Where I am going, you can’t follow now, but you will follow afterwards.”

Sagt ihm {der} Petrus: „Herr, weshalb kann ich Dir jetzt nicht folgen? Mein Leben werde ich für Dich einsetzen (hergeben).“

Dícele Pedro: Señor, ¿por qué no te puedo seguir ahora? mi alma pondré por ti.

Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.

Peter said to him, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”

Respondióle Jesús: ¿Tu alma pondrás por mí? De cierto, de cierto te digo: No cantará el gallo, sin que me hayas negado tres veces.

Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.

Jesus answered him, “Will you lay down your life for me? Most certainly I tell you, the rooster won’t crow until you have denied me three times.
