Wenn Ihr aus der Welt wäret, dann würde die Welt das eigene lieben. Weil Ihr aber nicht aus der Welt seid, sondern ich Euch aus der Welt auserwählt (ausgewählt, herausgenommen) habe, deswegen haßt Euch die Welt.

Si fuerais del mundo, el mundo amaría lo suyo; mas porque no sois del mundo, antes yo os elegí del mundo, por eso os aborrece el mundo.

If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
