Wäret ihr aus der Welt, so hätte die Welt das Eigene lieb. Nun ihr aber nicht aus der Welt seid, sondern Ich euch auserwählt habe, aus der Welt, darum haßt euch die Welt.

Si fuerais del mundo, el mundo amaría lo suyo; mas porque no sois del mundo, antes yo os elegí del mundo, por eso os aborrece el mundo.

If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
