1Yo soy la vid verdadera, y mi Padre es el labrador.
2Todo pámpano que en mí no lleva fruto, lo quita; y todo aquel que lleva fruto, lo limpia, para que lleve más fruto.
3Ya vosotros sois limpios por la palabra que os he hablado.
4Permaneced en mí, y yo en vosotros. Como el pámpano no puede llevar fruto de sí mismo, si no permanece en la vid, así tampoco vosotros, si no permanecéis en mí.
5Yo soy la vid, vosotros sois los pámpanos; el que permanece en mí, y yo en él, este lleva mucho fruto; porque sin mí nada podéis hacer.
6Si alguno no permanece en mí, será echado fuera como pámpano, y se secará; y los recogen, y los echan en el fuego, y arden.
7Si permanecéis en mí, y mis palabras permanecen en vosotros, pediréis todo lo que quisiereis, y os será hecho.
8En esto es glorificado mi Padre, en que llevéis mucho fruto, y seáis así mis discípulos.
9Como el Padre me ha amado, así también yo os he amado; permaneced en mi amor.
10Si guardáis mis mandamientos, permaneceréis en mi amor; como también yo he guardado los mandamientos de mi Padre, y permanezco en su amor.
11Estas cosas os he hablado, para que mi gozo esté en vosotros, y vuestro gozo sea cumplido.
12Este es mi mandamiento: Que os améis unos a otros, como yo os he amado.
13Nadie tiene mayor amor que este, que uno ponga su vida por sus amigos.
14Vosotros sois mis amigos, si hacéis lo que yo os mando.
15Ya no os llamaré siervos, porque el siervo no sabe lo que hace su señor; mas os he llamado amigos, porque os he dado a conocer todas las cosas que he oído de mi Padre.
16No me elegisteis vosotros a mí; sino que yo os elegí a vosotros; y os he puesto para que vayáis y llevéis fruto, y vuestro fruto permanezca; para que todo lo que pidiereis al Padre en mi nombre; Él os lo dé.
17Esto os mando: Que os améis unos a otros.
18Si el mundo os aborrece, sabed que a mí me aborreció antes que a vosotros.
19Si fuerais del mundo, el mundo amaría lo suyo; mas porque no sois del mundo, antes yo os elegí del mundo, por eso el mundo os aborrece.
20Acordaos de la palabra que yo os dije: El siervo no es más que su señor. Si a mí me han perseguido, también a vosotros perseguirán; si han guardado mi palabra, también guardarán la vuestra.
21Pero todo esto os harán por causa de mi nombre; porque no conocen al que me envió.
22Si yo no hubiera venido, ni les hubiera hablado, no tendrían pecado, pero ahora no tienen excusa de su pecado.
23El que me aborrece, también a mi Padre aborrece.
24Si yo no hubiese hecho entre ellos obras que ningún otro ha hecho, no tendrían pecado; pero ahora también ellos las han visto, y nos han aborrecido a mí y a mi Padre.
25Pero esto es para que se cumpla la palabra que está escrita en su ley: Sin causa me aborrecieron.
26Pero cuando venga el Consolador, a quien yo os enviaré del Padre, el Espíritu de verdad que procede del Padre, Él dará testimonio de mí.
27Y vosotros también daréis testimonio, porque habéis estado conmigo desde el principio.

1I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17These things I command you, that ye love one another.
18If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
23He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
26But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
27And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
World English Bible
1“I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer.
2Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
3You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
4Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me.
5I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
6If a man doesn’t remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
7If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.
8“In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples.
9Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.
10If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
11I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.
12“This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.

17“I command these things to you, that you may love one another.
18If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
19If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
20Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his lord.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.
21But they will do all these things to you for my name’s sake, because they don’t know him who sent me.
22If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.
23He who hates me, hates my Father also.
24If I hadn’t done among them the works which no one else did, they wouldn’t have had sin. But now they have seen and also hated both me and my Father.
25But this happened so that the word may be fulfilled which was written in their law, ‘They hated me without a cause.’
26“When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.
27You will also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.
