Ich bin der wahre Weinstock, und mein Vater ist der Weingärtner.

YO soy la vid verdadera, y mi Padre es el labrador.

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer.

Jegliches Schoß an mir, das keine Frucht bringt, nimmt er weg; jedes fruchtbare aber reinigt er, damit es mehr Frucht bringe.

Todo pámpano que en mí no lleva fruto, le quitará: y todo aquel que lleva fruto, le limpiará, para que lleve más fruto.

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

Ihr seid schon rein um des Wortes willen, das ich zu euch geredet habe.

Ya vosotros sois limpios por la palabra que os he hablado.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

Bleibet in mir, und ich †bleibe in euch! Gleichwie das Rebschoß von sich selbst keine Frucht bringen kann, wenn es nicht am Weinstock bleibt, also auch ihr nicht, wenn ihr nicht in mir bleibet.

Estad en mí, y yo en vosotros. Como el pámpano no puede llevar fruto de sí mismo, si no estuviere en la vid; así ni vosotros, si no estuviereis en mí.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me.

Ich bin der Weinstock, ihr seid die Reben; wer in mir bleibt und ich in ihm, der bringt viel Frucht; denn getrennt von mir könnt ihr nichts tun.

Yo soy la vid, vosotros los pámpanos: el que está en mí, y yo en él, éste lleva mucho fruto; porque sin mí nada podéis hacer.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Wenn jemand nicht in mir bleibt, so wird er weggeworfen wie das Rebschoß und verdorrt; und solche sammelt man und wirft sie ins Feuer, und sie brennen.

El que en mí no estuviere, será echado fuera como mal pámpano, y se secará; y los cogen, y los echan en el fuego, y arden.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

If a man doesn’t remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

Wenn ihr in mir bleibet und meine Worte in euch bleiben, möget ihr bitten, was ihr wollt, so wird es euch widerfahren.

Si estuviereis en mí, y mis palabras estuvieren en vosotros, pedid todo lo que quisiereis, y os será hecho.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.

Dadurch wird mein Vater verherrlicht, daß ihr viel Frucht bringet und meine Jünger werdet.

En esto es glorificado mi Padre, en que llevéis mucho fruto, y seáis así mis discípulos.

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

“In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples.

Gleichwie mich der Vater liebt, so liebe ich euch; bleibet in meiner Liebe!

Como el Padre me amó, también yo os he amado: estad en mi amor.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.

Wenn ihr meine Gebote haltet, so bleibet ihr in meiner Liebe, gleichwie ich meines Vaters Gebote gehalten habe und in seiner Liebe geblieben bin.

Si guardareis mis mandamientos, estaréis en mi amor; como yo también he guardado los mandamientos de mi Padre, y estoy en su amor.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.

Solches habe ich zu euch geredet, auf daß meine Freude in euch bleibe und eure Freude völlig werde.

Estas cosas os he hablado, para que mi gozo esté en vosotros, y vuestro gozo sea cumplido.

These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.

Das ist mein Gebot, daß ihr einander liebet, gleichwie ich euch geliebt habe.

Este es mi mandamiento: Que os améis los unos á los otros, como yo os he amado.

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

“This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.

Größere Liebe hat niemand als die, daß er sein Leben läßt für seine Freunde.

Nadie tiene mayor amor que este, que ponga alguno su vida por sus amigos.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

Ihr seid meine Freunde, wenn ihr alles tut, was ich euch gebiete.

Vosotros sois mis amigos, si hiciereis las cosas que yo os mando.

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

You are my friends if you do whatever I command you.

Ich nenne euch nicht mehr Knechte; denn der Knecht weiß nicht, was sein Herr tut; euch aber habe ich Freunde genannt, weil ich alles, was ich von meinem Vater gehört habe, euch kundgetan habe.

Ya no os llamaré siervos, porque el siervo no sabe lo que hace su señor: mas os he llamado amigos, porque todas las cosas que oí de mi Padre, os he hecho notorias.

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn’t know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you.

Nicht ihr habt mich erwählt, sondern ich habe euch erwählt und gesetzt, daß ihr hingehet und Frucht bringet und eure Frucht bleibe, auf daß, was irgend ihr den Vater bitten werdet in meinem Namen, er es euch gebe.

No me elegisteis vosotros á mí, mas yo os elegí á vosotros; y os he puesto para que vayáis y llevéis fruto, y vuestro fruto permanezca: para que todo lo que pidiereis del Padre en mi nombre, él os lo dé.

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

You didn’t choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

Das gebiete ich euch, daß ihr einander liebet.

Esto os mando: Que os améis los unos á los otros.

These things I command you, that ye love one another.

“I command these things to you, that you may love one another.

Wenn euch die Welt haßt, so wisset, daß sie mich vor euch gehaßt hat.

Si el mundo os aborrece, sabed que á mí me aborreció antes que á vosotros.

If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.

Wäret ihr von der Welt, so hätte die Welt das Ihrige lieb; weil ihr aber nicht von der Welt seid, sondern ich euch aus der Welt heraus erwählt habe, darum haßt euch die Welt.

Si fuerais del mundo, el mundo amaría lo suyo; mas porque no sois del mundo, antes yo os elegí del mundo, por eso os aborrece el mundo.

If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

Gedenket an das Wort, das ich zu euch gesagt habe: Der Knecht ist nicht größer als sein Herr. Haben sie mich verfolgt, so werden sie auch euch verfolgen; haben sie mein Wort befolgt, so werden sie auch das eurige befolgen.

Acordaos de la palabra que yo os he dicho: No es el siervo mayor que su señor. Si á mí me han perseguido, también á vosotros perseguirán: si han guardado mi palabra, también guardarán la vuestra.

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his lord.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.

Aber das alles werden sie euch tun um meines Namens willen; denn sie kennen den nicht, der mich gesandt hat.

Mas todo esto os harán por causa de mi nombre, porque no conocen al que me ha enviado.

But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.

But they will do all these things to you for my name’s sake, because they don’t know him who sent me.

Wenn ich nicht gekommen wäre und es ihnen gesagt hätte, so hätten sie keine Sünde; nun aber haben sie keinen Vorwand für ihre Sünde.

Si no hubiera venido, ni les hubiera hablado, no tendrían pecado, mas ahora no tienen excusa de su pecado.

If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.

Wer mich haßt, der haßt auch meinen Vater.

El que me aborrece, también á mi Padre aborrece.

He that hateth me hateth my Father also.

He who hates me, hates my Father also.

Hätte ich nicht die Werke unter ihnen getan, die kein anderer getan hat, so hätten sie keine Sünde; nun aber haben sie †dieselben gesehen und hassen doch sowohl mich als auch meinen Vater;

Si no hubiese hecho entre ellos obras cuales ningún otro ha hecho, no tendrían pecado; mas ahora, y las han visto, y me aborrecen á mí y á mi Padre.

If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

If I hadn’t done among them the works which no one else did, they wouldn’t have had sin. But now they have seen and also hated both me and my Father.

doch solches geschieht, damit das Wort erfüllt werde, das in ihrem Gesetz geschrieben steht: Sie hassen mich ohne Ursache.

Mas para que se cumpla la palabra que está escrita en su ley: Que sin causa me aborrecieron.

But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

But this happened so that the word may be fulfilled which was written in their law, ‘They hated me without a cause.’

Wenn aber der Beistand kommen wird, welchen ich euch vom Vater senden werde, der Geist der Wahrheit, der vom Vater ausgeht, so wird der von mir zeugen;

Empero cuando viniere el Consolador, el cual yo os enviaré del Padre, el Espíritu de verdad, el cual procede del Padre, él dará testimonio de mí.

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

“When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.

und auch ihr werdet zeugen, weil ihr von Anfang an bei mir gewesen seid.

Y vosotros daréis testimonio, porque estáis conmigo desde el principio.

And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

You will also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.
