Juan 16

Aber ich sage euch die Wahrheit: Es ist euch gut, daß ich hingehe. Denn so ich nicht hingehe, so kommt der Tröster nicht zu euch; so ich aber gehe, will ich ihn zu euch senden.

ESTAS cosas os he hablado, para que no os escandalicéis.

These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.

“I have said these things to you so that you wouldn’t be caused to stumble.

Und wenn derselbige kommt, der wird die Welt strafen um die Sünde und um die Gerechtigkeit und um das Gericht:

Os echarán de las sinagogas; y aun viene la hora, cuando cualquiera que os matare, pensará que hace servicio á Dios.

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

They will put you out of the synagogues. Yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers service to God.

um die Sünde, daß sie nicht glauben an mich;

Y estas cosas os harán, porque no conocen al Padre ni á mí.

And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

They will do these things because they have not known the Father nor me.

um die Gerechtigkeit aber, daß ich zum Vater gehe, und ihr mich hinfort nicht sehet;

Mas os he dicho esto, para que cuando aquella hora viniere, os acordéis que yo os lo había dicho. Esto empero no os lo dije al principio, porque yo estaba con vosotros.

But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.

But I have told you these things so that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you about them. I didn’t tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.

um das Gericht, daß der Fürst dieser Welt gerichtet ist.

Mas ahora voy al que me envió; y ninguno de vosotros me pregunta: ¿Adónde vas?

But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?

But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’

Ich habe euch noch viel zu sagen; aber ihr könnet's jetzt nicht tragen.

Antes, porque os he hablado estas cosas, tristeza ha henchido vuestro corazón.

But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

But because I have told you these things, sorrow has filled your heart.

Wenn aber jener, der Geist der Wahrheit, kommen wird, der wird euch in alle Wahrheit leiten. Denn er wird nicht von ihm selber reden, sondern was er hören wird, das wird er reden, und was zukünftig ist, wird er euch verkündigen.

Empero yo os digo la verdad: Os es necesario que yo vaya: porque si yo no fuese, el Consolador no vendría á vosotros; mas si yo fuere, os le enviaré.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.

Derselbige wird mich verklären; denn von dem Meinen wird er's nehmen und euch verkündigen.

Y cuando él viniere redargüirá al mundo de pecado, y de justicia, y de juicio:

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment;

Alles, was der Vater hat, das ist mein; darum hab' ich gesagt: Er wird's von dem Meinen nehmen und euch verkündigen.

De pecado ciertamente, por cuanto no creen en mí;

Of sin, because they believe not on me;

about sin, because they don’t believe in me;

Über ein kleines, so werdet ihr mich nicht sehen, und aber über ein kleines, so werdet ihr mich sehen; denn ich gehe zum Vater.

Y de justicia, por cuanto voy al Padre, y no me veréis más;

Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

about righteousness, because I am going to my Father, and you won’t see me any more;

Da sprachen etliche unter seinen Jüngern untereinander: Was ist das, was er saget zu uns: Über ein so werdet ihr mich nicht sehen, und aber über ein kleines, so werdet ihr mich sehen, und daß ich zum Vater gehe?

Y de juicio, por cuanto el príncipe de este mundo es juzgado.

Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

about judgment, because the prince of this world has been judged.

Da sprachen sie: Was ist das, was er sagt: Über ein kleines? Wir wissen nicht, was er redet.

Aun tengo muchas cosas que deciros, mas ahora no las podéis llevar.

I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

“I still have many things to tell you, but you can’t bear them now.

Da merkete Jesus, daß sie ihn fragen wollten, und sprach zu ihnen: Davon fraget ihr untereinander, daß ich gesagt habe: Über ein kleines, so werdet ihr mich nicht sehen, und aber über ein kleines, so werdet ihr mich sehen.

Pero cuando viniere aquel Espíritu de verdad, él os guiará á toda verdad; porque no hablará de sí mismo, sino que hablará todo lo que oyere, y os hará saber las cosas que han de venir.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

However, when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.

Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich, sage euch: Ihr werdet weinen und heulen; aber die Welt wird sich freuen. Ihr aber werdet traurig sein; doch eure Traurigkeit soll in Freude verkehret werden.

El me glorificará: porque tomará de lo mío, y os lo hará saber.

He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine and will declare it to you.

Ein Weib, wenn sie gebiert, so hat sie Traurigkeit; denn ihre Stunde ist kommen. Wenn sie aber das Kind geboren hat, denket sie nicht mehr an die Angst um der Freude willen, daß der Mensch zur Welt geboren ist.

Todo lo que tiene el Padre, mío es: por eso dije que tomará de lo mío, y os lo hará saber.

All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

All things that the Father has are mine; therefore I said that he takes of mine and will declare it to you.

Und ihr habt auch nun Traurigkeit aber ich will euch wiedersehen, und euer Herz soll sich freuen, und eure Freude soll niemand von euch nehmen.

Un poquito, y no me veréis; y otra vez un poquito, y me veréis: porque yo voy al Padre.

A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

“A little while, and you will not see me. Again a little while, and you will see me.”

Und an demselbigen Tage werdet ihr mich nichts fragen. Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: So ihr den Vater etwas bitten werdet in meinen Namen, so wird er's euch geben.

Entonces dijeron algunos de sus discípulos unos á otros: ¿Qué es esto que nos dice: Un poquito, y no me veréis; y otra vez un poquito, y me veréis: y, porque yo voy al Padre?

Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?

Some of his disciples therefore said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, ‘A little while, and you won’t see me, and again a little while, and you will see me;’ and, ‘Because I go to the Father’?”

Bisher habt ihr nichts gebeten in meinem Namen. Bittet, so werdet ihr nehmen, daß eure Freude vollkommen sei.

Decían pues: ¿Qué es esto que dice: Un poquito? No entendemos lo que habla.

They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.

They said therefore, “What is this that he says, ‘A little while’? We don’t know what he is saying.”

Solches hab' ich zu euch durch Sprichwörter geredet. Es kommt aber die Zeit, daß ich nicht mehr durch Sprichwörter mit euch reden werde, sondern euch frei heraus verkündigen von meinem Vater.

Y conoció Jesús que le querían preguntar, y díjoles: ¿Preguntáis entre vosotros de esto que dije: Un poquito, y no me veréis, y otra vez un poquito, y me veréis?

Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?

Therefore Jesus perceived that they wanted to ask him, and he said to them, “Do you inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, ‘A little while, and you won’t see me, and again a little while, and you will see me’?

An demselbigen Tage werdet ihr bitten in meinem Namen. Und ich sage euch nicht, daß ich den Vater für euch bitten will;

De cierto, de cierto os digo, que vosotros lloraréis y lamentaréis, y el mundo se alegrará: empero aunque vosotros estaréis tristes, vuestra tristeza se tornará en gozo.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

Most certainly I tell you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.

denn er selbst, der Vater, hat euch lieb, darum daß ihr mich liebet und glaubet, daß ich von Gott ausgegangen bin.

La mujer cuando pare, tiene dolor, porque es venida su hora; mas después que ha parido un niño, ya no se acuerda de la angustia, por el gozo de que haya nacido un hombre en el mundo.

A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

A woman, when she gives birth, has sorrow because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she doesn’t remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a human being is born into the world.

Ich bin vom Vater ausgegangen und kommen in die Welt; wiederum verlasse ich die Welt und gehe zum Vater.

También, pues, vosotros ahora ciertamente tenéis tristeza; mas otra vez os veré, y se gozará vuestro corazón, y nadie quitará de vosotros vuestro gozo.

And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

Therefore you now have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

Sprechen zu ihm seine Jünger: Siehe, nun redest du frei heraus und sagest kein Sprichwort.

Y aquel día no me preguntaréis nada. De cierto, de cierto os digo, que todo cuanto pidiereis al Padre en mi nombre, os lo dará.

And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

“In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.

Nun wissen wir, daß du alle Dinge weißt und bedarfst nicht, daß dich jemand frage. Darum glauben wir, daß du von Gott ausgegangen bist.

Hasta ahora nada habéis pedido en mi nombre: pedid, y recibiréis, para que vuestro gozo sea cumplido.

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.

Jesus antwortete ihnen: Jetzt glaubet ihr.

Estas cosas os he hablado en proverbios: la hora viene cuando ya no os hablaré por proverbios, pero claramente os anunciaré del Padre.

These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.

“I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. But the time is coming when I will no more speak to you in figures of speech, but will tell you plainly about the Father.

Siehe, es kommt die Stunde und ist schon kommen, daß ihr zerstreuet werdet, ein jeglicher in das Seine, und mich alleine lasset. Aber ich bin nicht alleine; denn der Vater ist bei mir.

Aquel día pediréis en mi nombre: y no os digo, que yo rogaré al Padre por vosotros;

At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

In that day you will ask in my name; and I don’t say to you that I will pray to the Father for you,

Solches habe ich mit euch geredet, daß ihr in mir Frieden habet. In der Welt habt ihr Angst; aber seid getrost, ich habe die Welt überwunden.

Pues el mismo Padre os ama, porque vosotros me amasteis, y habéis creído que yo salí de Dios.

For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from God.

Solches redete Jesus und hub seine Augen auf gen Himmel und sprach: Vater, die Stunde ist hier, daß du deinen Sohn verklärest, auf daß dich dein Sohn auch verkläre,

Salí del Padre, y he venido al mundo: otra vez dejo el mundo, y voy al Padre.

I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.”

gleichwie du ihm Macht hast gegeben über alles Fleisch, auf daß er das ewige Leben gebe allen, die du ihm gegeben hast.

Dícenle sus discípulos: He aquí, ahora hablas claramente, y ningún proverbio dices.

His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.

His disciples said to him, “Behold, now you are speaking plainly, and using no figures of speech.

Das ist aber das ewige Leben, daß sie dich, daß du allein wahrer Gott bist, und den du gesandt hast, Jesum Christum, erkennen.

Ahora entendemos que sabes todas las cosas, y no necesitas que nadie te pregunte: en esto creemos que has salido de Dios.

Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.

Now we know that you know all things, and don’t need for anyone to question you. By this we believe that you came from God.”

Ich habe dich verkläret auf Erden und vollendet das Werk, das du mir gegeben hast, daß ich's tun sollte.

Respondióles Jesús: ¿Ahora creéis?

Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?

Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe?

Und nun verkläre mich du, Vater, bei dir selbst mit der Klarheit, die ich bei dir hatte, ehe die Welt war.

He aquí, la hora viene, y ha venido, que seréis esparcidos cada uno por su parte, y me dejaréis solo: mas no estoy solo, porque el Padre está conmigo.

Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

Behold, the time is coming, yes, and has now come, that you will be scattered, everyone to his own place, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

Ich habe deinen Namen offenbaret den Menschen, die du mir von der Welt gegeben hast. Sie waren dein, und du hast sie mir gegeben, und sie haben dein Wort behalten.

Estas cosas os he hablado, para que en mí tengáis paz. En el mundo tendréis aflicción: mas confiad, yo he vencido al mundo.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”
