“Eu lhes disse estas coisas para que vocês não sejam abalados por tudo o que virá depois.
ESTAS cosas os he hablado, para que no os escandalicéis.
These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
“I have said these things to you so that you wouldn’t be caused to stumble.
Porque vocês serão expulsos das sinagogas, e na verdade chegará o tempo em que aqueles que matarem vocês pensarão que estão prestando um serviço a Deus.
Os echarán de las sinagogas; y aun viene la hora, cuando cualquiera que os matare, pensará que hace servicio á Dios.
They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
They will put you out of the synagogues. Yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers service to God.
Isso é porque eles nunca conheceram o Pai, nem a mim.
Y estas cosas os harán, porque no conocen al Padre ni á mí.
And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
They will do these things because they have not known the Father nor me.
Sim, eu estou lhes dizendo estas coisas agora para que, quando elas acontecerem, vocês se lembrem de que eu os avisei. Eu não lhes disse antes porque iria ficar com vocês mais um pouco.
Mas os he dicho esto, para que cuando aquella hora viniere, os acordéis que yo os lo había dicho. Esto empero no os lo dije al principio, porque yo estaba con vosotros.
But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.
But I have told you these things so that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you about them. I didn’t tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.
“Mas agora vou para aquele que me enviou; e nenhum de vocês me pergunta: ‘Para onde o Senhor vai?’
Mas ahora voy al que me envió; y ninguno de vosotros me pregunta: ¿Adónde vas?
But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?
But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’
Pelo contrário, vocês apenas ficam cheios de tristeza por causa do que eu disse.
Antes, porque os he hablado estas cosas, tristeza ha henchido vuestro corazón.
But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.
But because I have told you these things, sorrow has filled your heart.
Mas a verdade é que é melhor para vocês que eu vá porque, se eu não for, o Consolador não virá para vocês. Se eu for, eu o enviarei a vocês.
Empero yo os digo la verdad: Os es necesario que yo vaya: porque si yo no fuese, el Consolador no vendría á vosotros; mas si yo fuere, os le enviaré.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.
E quando ele vier, convencerá o mundo do pecado, da justiça e do juízo.
Y cuando él viniere redargüirá al mundo de pecado, y de justicia, y de juicio:
And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment;
Do pecado, porque os homens não creem em mim.
De pecado ciertamente, por cuanto no creen en mí;
Of sin, because they believe not on me;
about sin, because they don’t believe in me;
Da justiça divina, porque eu vou para o Pai, e vocês não me verão mais.
Y de justicia, por cuanto voy al Padre, y no me veréis más;
Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
about righteousness, because I am going to my Father, and you won’t see me any more;
E do juízo porque o príncipe deste mundo já está julgado.
Y de juicio, por cuanto el príncipe de este mundo es juzgado.
Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
about judgment, because the prince of this world has been judged.
“Oh, há tanta coisa que eu ainda quero dizer, mas agora vocês não podem suportar.
Aun tengo muchas cosas que deciros, mas ahora no las podéis llevar.
I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
“I still have many things to tell you, but you can’t bear them now.
Quando vier o Espírito da verdade, ele guiará vocês em toda a verdade, pois não estará falando de si mesmo, mas falará aquilo que ouviu. Ele falará a vocês a respeito do futuro.
Pero cuando viniere aquel Espíritu de verdad, él os guiará á toda verdad; porque no hablará de sí mismo, sino que hablará todo lo que oyere, y os hará saber las cosas que han de venir.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
However, when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.
Ele me glorificará, e trará grande honra para mim ao mostrar a vocês a minha glória.
El me glorificará: porque tomará de lo mío, y os lo hará saber.
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine and will declare it to you.
Porque tudo o que pertence ao Pai é meu. Por isso eu posso dizer-lhes que ele mostrará a vocês a minha glória.
Todo lo que tiene el Padre, mío es: por eso dije que tomará de lo mío, y os lo hará saber.
All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
All things that the Father has are mine; therefore I said that he takes of mine and will declare it to you.
Mais um pouco e não me verão mais; porém um pouco mais, e me verão novamente!”
Un poquito, y no me veréis; y otra vez un poquito, y me veréis: porque yo voy al Padre.
A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
“A little while, and you will not see me. Again a little while, and you will see me.”
“Que será que ele está dizendo?”, perguntavam alguns dos seus discípulos entre si. “Que será isso que ele quer dizer com ‘mais um pouco e não me verão mais’; e ‘um pouco mais e me verão novamente’, e ‘porque vou para o Pai’?”
Entonces dijeron algunos de sus discípulos unos á otros: ¿Qué es esto que nos dice: Un poquito, y no me veréis; y otra vez un poquito, y me veréis: y, porque yo voy al Padre?
Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
Some of his disciples therefore said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, ‘A little while, and you won’t see me, and again a little while, and you will see me;’ and, ‘Because I go to the Father’?”
E perguntavam: “Que quer dizer ‘um pouco mais’? Nós não sabemos o que ele quer dizer”.
Decían pues: ¿Qué es esto que dice: Un poquito? No entendemos lo que habla.
They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.
They said therefore, “What is this that he says, ‘A little while’? We don’t know what he is saying.”
Jesus percebeu que eles queriam perguntar a respeito disso, então disse: “Vocês estão perguntando entre si o que eu queria dizer quando falei: Mais um pouco e não me verão; um pouco mais e me verão novamente?
Y conoció Jesús que le querían preguntar, y díjoles: ¿Preguntáis entre vosotros de esto que dije: Un poquito, y no me veréis, y otra vez un poquito, y me veréis?
Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?
Therefore Jesus perceived that they wanted to ask him, and he said to them, “Do you inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, ‘A little while, and you won’t see me, and again a little while, and you will see me’?
O mundo se alegrará grandemente com o que está para acontecer, e vocês chorarão e se lamentarão. Vocês se entristecerão, mas essa tristeza de vocês se tornará em maravilhosa alegria.
De cierto, de cierto os digo, que vosotros lloraréis y lamentaréis, y el mundo se alegrará: empero aunque vosotros estaréis tristes, vuestra tristeza se tornará en gozo.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
Most certainly I tell you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
Será semelhante à alegria de uma mulher em trabalho de parto quando seu filho nasceu; a sua aflição dá lugar a uma alegria imensa por ter vindo ao mundo uma criança.
La mujer cuando pare, tiene dolor, porque es venida su hora; mas después que ha parido un niño, ya no se acuerda de la angustia, por el gozo de que haya nacido un hombre en el mundo.
A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
A woman, when she gives birth, has sorrow because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she doesn’t remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a human being is born into the world.
Assim ocorre com vocês: Agora vocês sentem tristeza, porém eu os verei outra vez, e então todos se alegrarão; e ninguém poderá roubar essa alegria de vocês.
También, pues, vosotros ahora ciertamente tenéis tristeza; mas otra vez os veré, y se gozará vuestro corazón, y nadie quitará de vosotros vuestro gozo.
And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
Therefore you now have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.
Naquele tempo não terão necessidade de me perguntar mais nada. Se pedirem algo ao Pai, ele dará a vocês tudo o que pedirem em meu nome.
Y aquel día no me preguntaréis nada. De cierto, de cierto os digo, que todo cuanto pidiereis al Padre en mi nombre, os lo dará.
And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
“In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.
Até agora vocês não pediram nada em meu nome. Peçam e receberão, para que a alegria de vocês seja completa.
Hasta ahora nada habéis pedido en mi nombre: pedid, y recibiréis, para que vuestro gozo sea cumplido.
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.
“Eu tenho falado por meio de ilustrações; chegará o momento em que isso não será mais necessário, e eu falarei claramente a respeito do Pai.
Estas cosas os he hablado en proverbios: la hora viene cuando ya no os hablaré por proverbios, pero claramente os anunciaré del Padre.
These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.
“I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. But the time is coming when I will no more speak to you in figures of speech, but will tell you plainly about the Father.
Então vocês devem pedir em meu nome, e eu não precisarei pedir ao Pai que conceda esses pedidos,
Aquel día pediréis en mi nombre: y no os digo, que yo rogaré al Padre por vosotros;
At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
In that day you will ask in my name; and I don’t say to you that I will pray to the Father for you,
pois o próprio Pai ama a vocês, porque vocês me amaram e creram que eu vim do Pai.
Pues el mismo Padre os ama, porque vosotros me amasteis, y habéis creído que yo salí de Dios.
For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.
for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from God.
Sim, eu vim do Pai e entrei no mundo; agora deixarei o mundo e voltarei para o Pai”.
Salí del Padre, y he venido al mundo: otra vez dejo el mundo, y voy al Padre.
I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.”
“Finalmente o Senhor está falando claramente”, disseram os seus discípulos, “e não mais por meio de ilustrações.
Dícenle sus discípulos: He aquí, ahora hablas claramente, y ningún proverbio dices.
His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.
His disciples said to him, “Behold, now you are speaking plainly, and using no figures of speech.
Agora entendemos que o Senhor sabe todas as coisas e não precisa que ninguém pergunte nada. Por isso nós cremos que o Senhor veio de Deus”.
Ahora entendemos que sabes todas las cosas, y no necesitas que nadie te pregunte: en esto creemos que has salido de Dios.
Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
Now we know that you know all things, and don’t need for anyone to question you. By this we believe that you came from God.”
Respondeu Jesus: “Então agora vocês creem?
Respondióles Jesús: ¿Ahora creéis?
Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?
Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe?
Mas chegará o tempo, e já é agora, em que vocês serão espalhados, cada um para a sua casa; vocês me deixarão sozinho. Mas ainda assim eu não ficarei sozinho, porque o Pai está comigo.
He aquí, la hora viene, y ha venido, que seréis esparcidos cada uno por su parte, y me dejaréis solo: mas no estoy solo, porque el Padre está conmigo.
Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
Behold, the time is coming, yes, and has now come, that you will be scattered, everyone to his own place, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
“Eu falei tudo isso para que tenham paz em mim. No mundo vocês terão muitos sofrimentos e tristezas; mas, tenham bom ânimo, porque eu venci o mundo”.
Estas cosas os he hablado, para que en mí tengáis paz. En el mundo tendréis aflicción: mas confiad, yo he vencido al mundo.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”
