These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
“I have said these things to you so that you wouldn’t be caused to stumble.
les expulsarán de las sinagogas; y aun viene la hora cuando cualquiera que les mate, pensará que rinde servicio a Dios.
Os echarán de las sinagogas; y aun viene la hora, cuando cualquiera que os matare, pensará que hace servicio á Dios.
They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
They will put you out of the synagogues. Yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers service to God.
Y harán esto porque no conocen al Padre ni a mí.
Y estas cosas os harán, porque no conocen al Padre ni á mí.
And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
They will do these things because they have not known the Father nor me.
Mas les he dicho estas cosas, para que cuando llegue la hora, se acuerden de que ya se lo había dicho. Esto no se lo dije al principio, porque yo estaba con ustedes.
Mas os he dicho esto, para que cuando aquella hora viniere, os acordéis que yo os lo había dicho. Esto empero no os lo dije al principio, porque yo estaba con vosotros.
But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.
But I have told you these things so that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you about them. I didn’t tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.
Pero ahora voy al que me envió; y ninguno de ustedes me pregunta: ¿A dónde vas?
Mas ahora voy al que me envió; y ninguno de vosotros me pregunta: ¿Adónde vas?
But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?
But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’
Antes, porque les he dicho estas cosas, tristeza ha llenado su de ustedes corazón.
Antes, porque os he hablado estas cosas, tristeza ha henchido vuestro corazón.
But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.
But because I have told you these things, sorrow has filled your heart.
Pero yo les digo la verdad: les conviene que yo me vaya; porque si no me fuera, el Consolador no vendría a ustedes; mas si me fuere, se lo enviaré.
Empero yo os digo la verdad: Os es necesario que yo vaya: porque si yo no fuese, el Consolador no vendría á vosotros; mas si yo fuere, os le enviaré.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

Y cuando él venga, convencerá al mundo de pecado, de justicia y de juicio.

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment;
De pecado, por cuanto no creen en mí;
De pecado ciertamente, por cuanto no creen en mí;
Of sin, because they believe not on me;
about sin, because they don’t believe in me;
de justicia, por cuanto voy a TM mi Padre, y no me verán más;
Y de justicia, por cuanto voy al Padre, y no me veréis más;
Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
about righteousness, because I am going to my Father, and you won’t see me any more;
y de juicio, por cuanto el príncipe de este mundo ha sido ya juzgado.

Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

Aún tengo muchas cosas que decirles, pero ahora no las pueden sobrellevar.

I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
“I still have many things to tell you, but you can’t bear them now.
Pero cuando venga el Espíritu de verdad, él les guiará a toda la verdad; porque no hablará por su propia cuenta, sino que hablará todo lo que oyere, y les hará saber las cosas que habrán de venir.
Pero cuando viniere aquel Espíritu de verdad, él os guiará á toda verdad; porque no hablará de sí mismo, sino que hablará todo lo que oyere, y os hará saber las cosas que han de venir.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
However, when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.
El me glorificará; porque tomará de lo mío, y se lo hará saber.

He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine and will declare it to you.
Todo lo que tiene el Padre es mío; por eso dije que tomará de lo mío, y se lo hará saber.

All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
All things that the Father has are mine; therefore I said that he takes of mine and will declare it to you.
Todavía un poco, y no me verán; y de nuevo un poco, y me verán; porque yo voy al Padre.
Un poquito, y no me veréis; y otra vez un poquito, y me veréis: porque yo voy al Padre.
A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
“A little while, and you will not see me. Again a little while, and you will see me.”
Entonces se dijeron algunos de sus discípulos unos a otros: ¿Qué es esto que nos dice: Todavía un poco y no me verán; y de nuevo un poco, y me verán; y, porque yo voy al Padre?

Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
Some of his disciples therefore said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, ‘A little while, and you won’t see me, and again a little while, and you will see me;’ and, ‘Because I go to the Father’?”
Decían, por lo tanto: ¿Qué quiere decir con: Todavía un poco? No entendemos lo que habla.
Decían pues: ¿Qué es esto que dice: Un poquito? No entendemos lo que habla.
They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.
They said therefore, “What is this that he says, ‘A little while’? We don’t know what he is saying.”
Jesús conoció que querían preguntarle, y les dijo: ¿Preguntan entre ustedes acerca de esto que dije: Todavía un poco y no me verán, y de nuevo un poco y me verán?
Y conoció Jesús que le querían preguntar, y díjoles: ¿Preguntáis entre vosotros de esto que dije: Un poquito, y no me veréis, y otra vez un poquito, y me veréis?
Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?
Therefore Jesus perceived that they wanted to ask him, and he said to them, “Do you inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, ‘A little while, and you won’t see me, and again a little while, and you will see me’?
De cierto, de cierto les digo, que ustedes llorarán y lamentarán, y el mundo se alegrará; pero aunque ustedes estén tristes, su de ustedes tristeza se convertirá en gozo.
De cierto, de cierto os digo, que vosotros lloraréis y lamentaréis, y el mundo se alegrará: empero aunque vosotros estaréis tristes, vuestra tristeza se tornará en gozo.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
Most certainly I tell you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
La mujer cuando da a luz, tiene dolor, porque ha llegado su hora; pero después que ha dado a luz un niño, ya no se acuerda de la angustia, por el gozo de que haya nacido un hombre en el mundo.
La mujer cuando pare, tiene dolor, porque es venida su hora; mas después que ha parido un niño, ya no se acuerda de la angustia, por el gozo de que haya nacido un hombre en el mundo.
A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
A woman, when she gives birth, has sorrow because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she doesn’t remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a human being is born into the world.
También ustedes ahora tienen tristeza; pero les volveré a ver, y se gozará su de ustedes corazón, y nadie les quitará su de ustedes gozo.
También, pues, vosotros ahora ciertamente tenéis tristeza; mas otra vez os veré, y se gozará vuestro corazón, y nadie quitará de vosotros vuestro gozo.
And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
Therefore you now have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.
En aquel día no me preguntarán nada. De cierto, de cierto les digo, que todo cuanto pidieren al Padre en mi nombre, se lo dará.
Y aquel día no me preguntaréis nada. De cierto, de cierto os digo, que todo cuanto pidiereis al Padre en mi nombre, os lo dará.
And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
“In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.
Hasta ahora nada han pedido en mi nombre; pidan, y recibirán, para que su de ustedes gozo sea cumplido.
Hasta ahora nada habéis pedido en mi nombre: pedid, y recibiréis, para que vuestro gozo sea cumplido.
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.
Estas cosas les he hablado en alegorías; la hora viene cuando ya no les hablaré por alegorías, sino que claramente les anunciaré acerca del Padre.
Estas cosas os he hablado en proverbios: la hora viene cuando ya no os hablaré por proverbios, pero claramente os anunciaré del Padre.
These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.
“I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. But the time is coming when I will no more speak to you in figures of speech, but will tell you plainly about the Father.
En aquel día pedirán en mi nombre; y no les digo que yo rogaré al Padre por ustedes,
Aquel día pediréis en mi nombre: y no os digo, que yo rogaré al Padre por vosotros;
At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
In that day you will ask in my name; and I don’t say to you that I will pray to the Father for you,
puesto que el Padre mismo los quiere tiene cariño y afecto fraternal, porque ustedes me han querido tenido cariño y afecto fraternal, y han creído que yo salí de Dios.
Pues el mismo Padre os ama, porque vosotros me amasteis, y habéis creído que yo salí de Dios.
For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.
for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from God.
Salí del Padre, y he venido al mundo; otra vez dejo el mundo, y voy al Padre.

Le dijeron sus discípulos: He aquí ahora hablas claramente, y ninguna alegoría dices.

His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.
His disciples said to him, “Behold, now you are speaking plainly, and using no figures of speech.
Ahora entendemos que sabes todas las cosas, y no necesitas que nadie te pregunte; por esto creemos que has salido de Dios.

Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
Now we know that you know all things, and don’t need for anyone to question you. By this we believe that you came from God.”
Jesús les respondió: ¿Ahora creen?
Respondióles Jesús: ¿Ahora creéis?
Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?

He aquí la hora viene, y ha venido ya, en que serán esparcidos cada uno por su lado, y me dejarán solo; mas no estoy solo, porque el Padre está conmigo.
He aquí, la hora viene, y ha venido, que seréis esparcidos cada uno por su parte, y me dejaréis solo: mas no estoy solo, porque el Padre está conmigo.
Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
Behold, the time is coming, yes, and has now come, that you will be scattered, everyone to his own place, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
Estas cosas les he hablado para que en mí tengan paz. En el mundo tendrán aflicción; pero confíen, yo he vencido al mundo.
Estas cosas os he hablado, para que en mí tengáis paz. En el mundo tendréis aflicción: mas confiad, yo he vencido al mundo.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”
