Dicho esto marchó Jesús con sus discípulos a la otra parte del torrente Cedrón, donde había un huerto, en el cual entró con sus discípulos.

Replicó Jesús : Ya os he dicho que yo soy; ahora bien, si me buscáis a mí, dejad ir a éstos.

Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:

Para que se cumpliese la palabra que había dicho: ¡Oh Padre!, ninguno he perdido de los que tú me diste.

That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none.

Entretanto Simón Pedro que tenía una espada, la desenvainó, y dando un golpe a un criado del sacerdote, le cortó la oreja derecha. Este criado se llamaba Malco.
Entonces Simón Pedro, que tenía espada, sacóla, é hirió al siervo del pontífice, y le cortó la oreja derecha. Y el siervo se llamaba Malco.
Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.

Pero Jesús dijo a Pedro: Mete tu espada en la vaina. El cáliz que me ha dado mi Padre, ¿he de dejar yo de beberlo?
Jesús entonces dijo á Pedro: Mete tu espada en la vaina: el vaso que el Padre me ha dado, ¿no lo tengo de beber?
Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?
Jesus therefore said to Peter, “Put the sword into its sheath. The cup which the Father has given me, shall I not surely drink it?”
En fin, los soldados, el tribuno o comandante, y los ministros de los judíos prendieron a Jesús y le ataron.
Entonces la compañía y el tribuno, y los ministros de los Judíos, prendieron á Jesús y le ataron,
Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him,
So the detachment, the commanding officer, and the officers of the Jews seized Jesus and bound him,
De allí le condujeron primero a casa de Anás, porque era suegro de Caifás, que era sumo sacerdote aquel año.
Y lleváronle primeramente á Anás; porque era suegro de Caifás, el cual era pontífice de aquel año.
And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.

Caifás era el que había dado a los judíos el consejo, que convenía que un hombre muriese por el pueblo.

Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.

Iba siguiendo a Jesús , Simón Pedro y otro discípulo, el cual era conocido del sacerdote, y así entró con Jesús en el atrio del sacerdote,
Y seguía á Jesús Simón Pedro, y otro discípulo. Y aquel discípulo era conocido del pontífice, y entró con Jesús al atrio del pontífice;
And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest.

quedándose Pedro fuera en la puerta. Por eso el otro discípulo, conocido del sacerdote, salió a la puerta y habló a la portera, y franqueó a Pedro la entrada.
Mas Pedro estaba fuera á la puerta. Y salió aquel discípulo que era conocido del pontífice, y habló á la portera, y metió dentro á Pedro.
But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.
but Peter was standing at the door outside. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought in Peter.
Entonces la criada portera dice a Pedro: ¿No eres tú también de los discípulos de este hombre? El le respondió: No lo soy.
Entonces la criada portera dijo á Pedro: ¿No eres tú también de los discípulos de este hombre? Dice él: No soy.
Then saith the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, Art not thou also one of this man’s disciples? He saith, I am not.
Then the maid who kept the door said to Peter, “Are you also one of this man’s disciples?” He said, “I am not.”
Los criados y ministros, que habían ido a prender a Jesús , estaban a la lumbre, porque hacía frío, y se calentaban. Pedro asimismo estaba con ellos, calentándose.
Y estaban en pie los siervos y los ministros que habían allegado las ascuas; porque hacía frío, y calentábanse: y estaba también con ellos Pedro en pie, calentándose.
And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself.
Now the servants and the officers were standing there, having made a fire of coals, for it was cold. They were warming themselves. Peter was with them, standing and warming himself.
Entretanto el sacerdote se puso a interrogar a Jesús sobre sus discípulos y su palabra.
Y el pontífice preguntó á Jesús acerca de sus discípulos y de su doctrina.
The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.
The high priest therefore asked Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching.
A lo que respondió Jesús : Yo he predicado públicamente delante de todo el mundo; siempre he enseñado en la sinagoga, y en el templo, adonde concurren todos los judíos, y nada he hablado en secreto.
Jesús le respondió: Yo manifiestamente he hablado al mundo: yo siempre he enseñado en la sinagoga y en el templo, donde se juntan todos los Judíos, y nada he hablado en oculto.
Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.
Jesus answered him, “I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always meet. I said nothing in secret.
¿Qué me preguntas a mí? Pregúntale a los que han oído lo que yo les he enseñado; pues ésos saben qué he dicho yo.
¿Qué me preguntas á mí? Pregunta á los que han oído, qué les haya yo hablado: he aquí, ésos saben lo que yo he dicho.
Why askest thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said.
Why do you ask me? Ask those who have heard me what I said to them. Behold, they know the things which I said.”
A esta respuesta, uno de los ministros asistentes dio una bofetada a Jesús , diciendo: ¿Así respondes tú al sacerdote?
Y como él hubo dicho esto, uno de los criados que estaba allí, dió una bofetada á Jesús, diciendo: ¿Así respondes al pontífice?
And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so?
When he had said this, one of the officers standing by slapped Jesus with his hand, saying, “Do you answer the high priest like that?”
Le dijo a él Jesús : Si yo he hablado mal, manifiesta lo mal que he dicho; pero si bien, ¿por qué me hieres?
Respondióle Jesús: Si he hablado mal, da testimonio del mal: y si bien, ¿por qué me hieres?
Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me?
Jesus answered him, “If I have spoken evil, testify of the evil; but if well, why do you beat me?”
Entonces lo envió Anás atado al sumo sacerdote Caifás.
Y Anás le había enviado atado á Caifás pontífice.
Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.

Y estaba allí en pie Simón Pedro, calentándose. Le dijeron, pues: ¿No eres tú también de sus discípulos? El lo negó diciendo: No lo soy.
Estaba pues Pedro en pie calentándose. Y dijéronle: ¿No eres tú de sus discípulos? El negó, y dijo: No soy.
And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.
Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him, “You aren’t also one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said, “I am not.”
Le dijo uno de los criados del sumo sacerdote, pariente de aquel cuya oreja había cortado Pedro: Pues, ¿no te vi yo en el huerto con él?
Uno de los siervos del pontífice, pariente de aquél á quien Pedro había cortado la oreja, le dice: ¿No te vi yo en el huerto con él?
One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?
One of the servants of the high priest, being a relative of him whose ear Peter had cut off, said, “Didn’t I see you in the garden with him?”
Negó Pedro otra vez, y al punto cantó el gallo.
Y negó Pedro otra vez: y luego el gallo cantó.
Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.
Peter therefore denied it again, and immediately the rooster crowed.
Llevaron después a Jesús desde casa de Caifás al pretorio. Era muy de mañana; y ellos no entraron al pretorio, por no contaminarse, a fin de poder comer de las víctimas de la Pascua .
Y llevaron á Jesús de Caifás al pretorio: y era por la mañana: y ellos no entraron en el pretorio por no ser contaminados, sino que comiesen la pascua.
Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.
They led Jesus therefore from Caiaphas into the Praetorium. It was early, and they themselves didn’t enter into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the Passover.
Por eso Pilatos salió afuera, y les dijo: ¿Qué acusación traéis contra este hombre?
Entonces salió Pilato á ellos fuera, y dijo: ¿Qué acusación traéis contra este hombre?
Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man?
Pilate therefore went out to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this man?”
Respondieron, y le dijeron: Si éste no fuera malhechor, no le hubiéramos puesto en tus manos.
Respondieron y dijéronle: Si éste no fuera malhechor, no te le habríamos entregado.
They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee.
They answered him, “If this man weren’t an evildoer, we wouldn’t have delivered him up to you.”
Les replicó Pilatos: Pues tomadle vosotros, y juzgadle según vuestra ley. Los judíos le dijeron: A nosotros no nos es permitido matar a nadie; esa potestad es tuya;
Díceles entonces Pilato: Tomadle vosotros, y juzgadle según vuestra ley. Y los Judíos le dijeron: A nosotros no es lícito matar á nadie:
Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:
Pilate therefore said to them, “Take him yourselves, and judge him according to your law.” Therefore the Jews said to him, “It is illegal for us to put anyone to death,”
con lo que vino a cumplirse lo que Jesús dijo, indicando el género de muerte de que había de morir.
Para que se cumpliese el dicho de Jesús, que había dicho, dando á entender de qué muerte había de morir.
That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die.
that the word of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spoke, signifying by what kind of death he should die.
Oído esto, Pilatos entró de nuevo en el pretorio, y llamó a Jesús , y le preguntó: ¿Eres tú el rey de los judíos?
Así que, Pilato volvió á entrar en el pretorio, y llamó á Jesús, y díjole: ¿Eres tú el Rey de los Judíos?
Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?
Pilate therefore entered again into the Praetorium, called Jesus, and said to him, “Are you the King of the Jews?”
Respondió Jesús : ¿Dices tú eso de ti mismo, o te lo han dicho de mí otros?
Respondióle Jesús: ¿Dices tú esto de ti mismo, ó te lo han dicho otros de mí?
Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?
Jesus answered him, “Do you say this by yourself, or did others tell you about me?”
Replicó Pilatos: ¿Qué, acaso soy yo judío? Tu nación y los sacerdotes te han entregado a mí: ¿qué has hecho tú?
Pilato respondió: ¿Soy yo Judío? Tu gente, y los pontífices, te han entregado á mí: ¿qué has hecho?
Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?
Pilate answered, “I’m not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered you to me. What have you done?”
Respondió Jesús : Mi reino no es de este mundo. Si de este mundo fuera mi reino, claro está que mis gentes me habrían defendido para que no cayese en manos de los judíos; mas mi reino no es de acá.
Respondió Jesús: Mi reino no es de este mundo: si de este mundo fuera mi reino, mis servidores pelearían para que yo no fuera entregado á los Judíos: ahora, pues, mi reino no es de aquí.
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I wouldn’t be delivered to the Jews. But now my Kingdom is not from here.”
Le replicó Pilatos: ¿Conque tú eres rey? Respondió Jesús : Así es como dices: yo soy rey. Yo para esto nací, y para esto vine al mundo, para dar testimonio de la verdad; todo aquel que pertenece a la verdad, escucha mi voz.
Díjole entonces Pilato: ¿Luego rey eres tú? Respondió Jesús: Tú dices que yo soy rey. Yo para esto he nacido, y para esto he venido al mundo, para dar testimonio á la verdad. Todo aquél que es de la verdad, oye mi voz.
Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
Pilate therefore said to him, “Are you a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this reason I have been born, and for this reason I have come into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”
Le dijo Pilatos: ¿Qué es la verdad? ¿De qué verdad hablas? Y dicho esto, salió por segunda vez a los judíos, y les dijo: Yo ningún delito hallo en este hombre;
Dícele Pilato: ¿Qué cosa es verdad? Y como hubo dicho esto, salió otra vez á los Judíos, y díceles: Yo no hallo en él ningún crimen.
Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.
Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” When he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no basis for a charge against him.
mas ya que tenéis la costumbre de que os suelte un reo por la Pascua , ¿queréis que os ponga en libertad al rey de los judíos?
Empero vosotros tenéis costumbre, que os suelte uno en la Pascua: ¿queréis, pues, que os suelte al Rey de los Judíos?
But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
But you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Therefore, do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”
Entonces todos volvieron a gritar: No a ése, sino a Barrabás. Es de saber que Barrabás era un ladrón y homicida.
Entonces todos dieron voces otra vez, diciendo: No á éste, sino á Barrabás. Y Barrabás era ladrón.
Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.
Then they all shouted again, saying, “Not this man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a robber.
