Da sprachen die Hohenpriester der Juden zu Pilatus: Schreibe nicht: “Der Juden König”, sondern daß er gesagt habe: Ich bin der Juden König.

Y decían á Pilato los pontífices de los Judíos: No escribas, Rey de los Judíos: sino, que él dijo: Rey soy de los Judíos.

Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.

The chief priests of the Jews therefore said to Pilate, “Don’t write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘he said, “I am King of the Jews.”’”
