Dorthin nun, wegen des Rüsttags der Juden, weil die Gruft nahe war, legten sie Jesum.

Allí, pues, por causa de la víspera de la Pascua de los Judíos, porque aquel sepulcro estaba cerca, pusieron á Jesús.

There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews’ preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.

Then, because of the Jews’ Preparation Day (for the tomb was near at hand), they laid Jesus there.
