Da nahm Pilatus Jesum und geilielte ihn.

ASÍ que, entonces tomó Pilato á Jesús, y le azotó.

Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.

So Pilate then took Jesus and flogged him.

Und die Kriegsknechte flochten eine Krone von Dornen und setzten sie auf sein Haupt und legten ihm ein Purpurkleid an

Y los soldados entretejieron de espinas una corona, y pusiéronla sobre su cabeza, y le vistieron de una ropa de grana;

And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,

The soldiers twisted thorns into a crown and put it on his head, and dressed him in a purple garment.

und sprachen: Sei gegru üet, lieber Judenkonig! und gaben ihm Backenstreiche.

Y decían: ¡Salve, Rey de los Judíos! y dábanle de bofetadas.

And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.

They kept saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and they kept slapping him.

Da ging Pilatus wieder heraus und sprach zu ihnen: Sehet, ich führe ihn heraus zu euch, daß ihr erkennet, daß ich keine Schuld an ihm finde.

Entonces Pilato salió otra vez fuera, y díjoles: He aquí, os le traigo fuera, para que entendáis que ningún crimen hallo en él.

Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.

Then Pilate went out again, and said to them, “Behold, I bring him out to you, that you may know that I find no basis for a charge against him.”

Also ging Jesus heraus und trug eine Dornenkrone und Purpurkleid. Und er spricht zu ihnen: Sehet, welch ein Mensch!

Y salió Jesús fuera, llevando la corona de espinas y la ropa de grana. Y díceles Pilato: He aquí el hombre.

Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!

Jesus therefore came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple garment. Pilate said to them, “Behold, the man!”

Da ihn die Hohenpriester und die Diener sahen, schrieen sie und sprachen: Kreuzige, kreuzige! Pilatus spricht zu ihnen: Nehmet ihr ihn hin und kreuziget; denn ich finde keine Schuld an ihm.

Y como le vieron los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los servidores, dieron voces diciendo: Crucifícale, crucifícale. Díceles Pilato: Tomadle vosotros, y crucificadle; porque yo no hallo en él crimen.

When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.

When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw him, they shouted, saying, “Crucify! Crucify!” Pilate said to them, “Take him yourselves and crucify him, for I find no basis for a charge against him.”

Die Juden antworteten ihm: Wir haben ein Gesetz, und nach dem Gesetz soil er sterben; denn er hat sich selbst zu Gottes Sohn gemacht.

Respondiéronle los Judíos: Nosotros tenemos ley, y según nuestra ley debe morir, porque se hizo Hijo de Dios.

The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.

Da Pilatus das Wort horete, furchtete er sich noch mehr

Y como Pilato oyó esta palabra, tuvo más miedo.

When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid;

When therefore Pilate heard this saying, he was more afraid.

und ging wieder hinein in das Richthaus und spricht zu Jesu: Von wannen bist du? Aber Jesus gab ihm keine Antwort.

Y entró otra vez en el pretorio, y dijo á Jesús: ¿De dónde eres tú? Mas Jesús no le dió respuesta.

And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.

He entered into the Praetorium again, and said to Jesus, “Where are you from?” But Jesus gave him no answer.

Da sprach Pilatus zu ihm: Redest du nicht mit mir? Weilit du nicht, daß ich Macht habe, dich zu kreuzigen, und Macht habe, dich loszugeben?

Entonces dícele Pilato: ¿A mí no me hablas? ¿no sabes que tengo potestad para crucificarte, y que tengo potestad para soltarte?

Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?

Pilate therefore said to him, “Aren’t you speaking to me? Don’t you know that I have power to release you and have power to crucify you?”

Jesus antwortete: Du flattest keine Macht fiber mich, wenn sie dir nicht ware von oben herab gegeben; darum, der mich dir überantwortet hat, der hat groliere Sünde.

Respondió Jesús: Ninguna potestad tendrías contra mí, si no te fuese dado de arriba: por tanto, el que á ti me ha entregado, mayor pecado tiene.

Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.

Jesus answered, “You would have no power at all against me, unless it were given to you from above. Therefore he who delivered me to you has greater sin.”

Von dem an trachtete Pilatus, wie er ihn loslielie. Die Juden aber schrieen und sprachen: Lassest du diesen los, so bist du des Kaisers Freund nicht; denn wer sich zum Konige macht, der ist wider den Kaiser.

Desde entonces procuraba Pilato soltarle; mas los Judíos daban voces, diciendo: Si á éste sueltas, no eres amigo de César: cualquiera que se hace rey, á César contradice.

And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Cæsar’s friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Cæsar.

At this, Pilate was seeking to release him, but the Jews cried out, saying, “If you release this man, you aren’t Caesar’s friend! Everyone who makes himself a king speaks against Caesar!”

Da Pilatus das Wort horete, führete er Jesum heraus und setzte sich auf den Richterstuhl an der Statte, die da heilit Hochpflaster, auf ebraisch aber Gabbatha.

Entonces Pilato, oyendo este dicho, llevó fuera á Jesús, y se sentó en el tribunal en el lugar que se dice Lithóstrotos, y en hebreo Gabbatha.

When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.

When Pilate therefore heard these words, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called “The Pavement”, but in Hebrew, “Gabbatha.”

Es war aber der Rüsttag auf Ostern urn die sechste Stunde. Und er spricht zu den Juden: Sehet, das ist euer Konig!

Y era la víspera de la Pascua, y como la hora de sexta. Entonces dijo á los Judíos: He aquí vuestro Rey.

And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!

Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover, at about the sixth hour. He said to the Jews, “Behold, your King!”

Sie schrieen aber: Weg, weg mit dem, kreuzige ihn! Spricht Pilatus zu ihnen: Soil ich euren Konig kreuzigen? Die Hohenpriester antworteten: Wir haben keinen Konig denn den Kaiser.

Mas ellos dieron voces: Quita, quita, crucifícale. Díceles Pilato: ¿A vuestro Rey he de crucificar? Respondieron los pontífices: No tenemos rey sino á César.

But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Cæsar.

They cried out, “Away with him! Away with him! Crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar!”

Da überantwortete er ihn ihnen, daü er gekreuzigt wurde. Sie nahmen aber Jesum und fuhreten ihn hin.

Así que entonces lo entregó á ellos para que fuese crucificado. Y tomaron á Jesús, y le llevaron.

Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.

So then he delivered him to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus and led him away.

Und ertrug sein Kreuz und ging hinaus zur Statte die da heilit Schadelstatte, welche heilit auf ebraisch Golgatha.

Y llevando su cruz, salió al lugar que se dice de la Calavera, y en hebreo, Gólgotha;

And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:

He went out, bearing his cross, to the place called “The Place of a Skull”, which is called in Hebrew, “Golgotha”,

Allda kreuzigten sie ihn und mit ihm zwei andere zu beiden Seiten, Jesum aber mitten inne.

Donde le crucificaron, y con él otros dos, uno á cada lado, y Jesús en medio.

Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

Pilatus aber schrieb eine Uberschrift und setzte sie auf das Kreuz; und war geschrieben: Jesus von Nazareth, der Juden Konig.

Y escribió también Pilato un título, que puso encima de la cruz. Y el escrito era: JESUS NAZARENO, REY DE LOS JUDIOS.

And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Pilate wrote a title also, and put it on the cross. There was written, “JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

Diese Uberschrift lasen viel Juden; denn die Statte war nahe bei der Stadt, da Jesus gekreuziget ist. Und es war geschrieben auf ebraische, griechische und lateinische Sprache.

Y muchos de los Judíos leyeron este título: porque el lugar donde estaba crucificado Jesús era cerca de la ciudad: y estaba escrito en hebreo, en griego, y en latín.

This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.

Therefore many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek.

Da sprachen die Hohenpriester der Juden zu Pilatus: Schreibe nicht: Der Juden Konig; sondern daß er gesagt habe: Ich bin der Juden Konig.

Y decían á Pilato los pontífices de los Judíos: No escribas, Rey de los Judíos: sino, que él dijo: Rey soy de los Judíos.

Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.

The chief priests of the Jews therefore said to Pilate, “Don’t write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘he said, “I am King of the Jews.”’”

Pilatus antwortete: Was ich geschrieben habe, das hab' ich geschrieben.

Respondió Pilato: Lo que he escrito, he escrito.

Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.

Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”

Die Kriegsknechte aber, da sie Jesum gekreuziget hatten, nahmen sie seine Kleider und machten vier Teile, einem jeglichen Kriegsknecht ein Teil, dazu auch den Rock. Der Rock aber war ungenahet, von oben an gewirket durch und durch.

Y como los soldados hubieron crucificado á Jesús, tomaron sus vestidos, é hicieron cuatro partes (para cada soldado una parte); y la túnica; mas la túnica era sin costura, toda tejida desde arriba.

Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

Da sprachen sie untereinander: Lasset uns den nicht zerteilen, sondern darum losen, wes er sein soil (auf daß erfullet würde die Schrift, die da, sagt: Sie haben meine Kleider untersich geteilet und haben fiber meinen Rock das Los geworfen). Solches taten die Kriegsknechte.

Y dijeron entre ellos: No la partamos, sino echemos suertes sobre ella, de quién será; para que se cumpliese la Escritura, que dice: Partieron para sí mis vestidos, y sobre mi vestidura echaron suertes. Y los soldados hicieron esto.

They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

Then they said to one another, “Let’s not tear it, but cast lots for it to decide whose it will be,” that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which says, “They parted my garments among them. They cast lots for my clothing.” Therefore the soldiers did these things.

Es stund aber bei dem Kreuze Jesu seine Mutter und seiner Mutter Schwester Maria, des Kleophas Weib, und Maria Magdalena.

Y estaban junto á la cruz de Jesús su madre, y la hermana de su madre, María mujer de Cleofas, y María Magdalena.

Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.

But standing by Jesus’ cross were his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

Da nun Jesus seine Mutter sah und den Jünger dabeistehen, den er liebhatte spricht er zu seiner Mutter: Weib, siehe das ist dein Sohn!

Y como vió Jesús á la madre, y al discípulo que él amaba, que estaba presente, dice á su madre: Mujer, he ahí tu hijo.

When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!

Therefore when Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!”

Danach spricht er zu dem Jünger siehe, das ist deine Mutter! Und von der Stunde an nahm sie der Jünger zu sich.

Después dice al discípulo: He ahí tu madre. Y desde aquella hora el discípulo la recibió consigo.

Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” From that hour, the disciple took her to his own home.

Danach, als Jesus wuftte, daß schon alles vollbracht war, daß die Schrift erfullet würde, spricht er: Mich dürstet!

Después de esto, sabiendo Jesús que todas las cosas eran ya cumplidas, para que la Escritura se cumpliese, dijo: Sed tengo.

After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.

After this, Jesus, seeing that all things were now finished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I am thirsty!”

Da stund ein Gefaft voll Essigs. Sie aber fülleten einen Schwamm mit Essig und legten ihn um einen Ysop und hielten es ihm darzum Munde.

Y estaba allí un vaso lleno de vinagre: entonces ellos hinchieron una esponja de vinagre, y rodeada á un hisopo, se la llegaron á la boca.

Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.

Now a vessel full of vinegar was set there; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop, and held it at his mouth.

Da nun Jesus den Essig genommen hatte, sprach er: Es ist vollbracht! Und neigete das Haupt und verschied.

Y como Jesús tomó el vinagre, dijo: Consumado es. Y habiendo inclinado la cabeza, dió el espíritu.

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Die Juden aber; dieweil es der Rüsttag war daß nicht die Leichname am Kreuz blieben den Sabbat fiber (denn desselbigen Sabbats Tag war graft), baten sie Pilatus; daß ihre Beine gebrochen, und sie abgenommen würden.

Entonces los Judíos, por cuanto era la víspera de la Pascua, para que los cuerpos no quedasen en la cruz en el sábado, pues era el gran día del sábado, rogaron á Pilato que se les quebrasen las piernas, y fuesen quitados.

The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

Therefore the Jews, because it was the Preparation Day, so that the bodies wouldn’t remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a special one), asked of Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away.

Da kamen die Kriegsknechte und brachen dem ersten die Beine und dem andern, der mit ihm gekreuziget war.

Y vinieron los soldados, y quebraron las piernas al primero, y asimismo al otro que había sido crucificado con él.

Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.

Therefore the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with him;

Als sie aber zu Jesu kamen, da sie sahen, daß er schon gestorben war, brachen sie ihm die Beine nicht,

Mas cuando vinieron á Jesús, como le vieron ya muerto, no le quebraron las piernas:

But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:

but when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they didn’t break his legs.

sondern der Kriegsknechte einer offnete seine Seite mit einem Speer; und alsbald ging Blut und Wasser heraus.

Empero uno de los soldados le abrió el costado con una lanza, y luego salió sangre y agua.

But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

However, one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

Und der das gesehen hat, der hat es bezeuget, und sein Zeugnis ist wahr, und derselbige weift, daß er die Wahrheit saget, auf daß auch ihr glaubet.

Y el que lo vió, da testimonio, y su testimonio es verdadero: y él sabe que dice verdad, para que vosotros también creáis.

And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.

He who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, that you may believe.

Denn solches ist geschehen, daß die Schrift erfullet wurde: Ihr sollt ihm kein Bein zerbrechen.

Porque estas cosas fueron hechas para que se cumpliese la Escritura: Hueso no quebrantaréis de él.

For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.

For these things happened that the Scripture might be fulfilled, “A bone of him will not be broken.”

Und abermal spricht eine andere Schrift: Sie werden sehen, in welchen sie gestochen haben.

Y también otra Escritura dice: Mirarán al que traspasaron.

And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

Again another Scripture says, “They will look on him whom they pierced.”

Danach bat Pilatus Joseph von Arimathia, der ein Jünger Jesu war, doch heimlich, aus Furcht vor den Juden, daß er mochte abnehmen den Leichnam Jesu. Und Pilatus erlaubte es. Da kam er und nahm den Leichnam Jesu herab.

Después de estas cosas, José de Arimatea, el cual era discípulo de Jesús, mas secreto por miedo de los Judíos, rogó á Pilato que pudiera quitar el cuerpo de Jesús: y permitióselo Pilato. Entonces vino, y quitó el cuerpo de Jesús.

And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.

After these things, Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked of Pilate that he might take away Jesus’ body. Pilate gave him permission. He came therefore and took away his body.

Es kam aber auch Nikodemus, der vormals bei der Nacht zu Jesu kommen war, und brachte Myrrhen und Aloen untereinander bei hundert Pfunden.

Y vino también Nicodemo, el que antes había venido á Jesús de noche, trayendo un compuesto de mirra y de áloes, como cien libras.

And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.

Nicodemus, who at first came to Jesus by night, also came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred Roman pounds.

Da nahmen sie den Leichnam Jesu und banden ihn in leinene Tücher mit Spezereien, wie die Juden pflegen zu begraben.

Tomaron pues el cuerpo de Jesús, y envolviéronlo en lienzos con especias, como es costumbre de los Judíos sepultar.

Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

So they took Jesus’ body, and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury.

Es war aber an der Statte, da er gekreuziget ward, ein Garten und im Garten ein neu Grab, in welches niemand je gelegt war.

Y en aquel lugar donde había sido crucificado, había un huerto; y en el huerto un sepulcro nuevo, en el cual aun no había sido puesto ninguno.

Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.

Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden. In the garden was a new tomb in which no man had ever yet been laid.

Daselbst hin legten sie Jesum um des Rusttages willen der Juden, dieweil das Grab nahe war.

Allí, pues, por causa de la víspera de la Pascua de los Judíos, porque aquel sepulcro estaba cerca, pusieron á Jesús.

There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews’ preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.

Then, because of the Jews’ Preparation Day (for the tomb was near at hand), they laid Jesus there.
