No princípio Aquele que é a Palavra já existia; e a Palavra estava com Deus; e a Palavra era Deus.

Houve um homem enviado por Deus cujo nome era João.

Ele veio como testemunha para testificar a respeito da Luz, para que todos cressem por meio dele.

Este vino por testimonio, para que diese testimonio de la luz, para que todos creyesen por él.

The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

Ele não era a Luz, mas veio a fim de testificar da Luz.

He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

Era a verdadeira Luz, que ilumina todo homem, que estava chegando ao mundo.

Aquél era la luz verdadera, que alumbra á todo hombre que viene á este mundo.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.

Ele estava no mundo, e o mundo foi feito por Ele, mas o mundo não O conheceu.

En el mundo estaba, y el mundo fué hecho por él; y el mundo no le conoció.

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

Veio para o que era Seu, e os Seus não O receberam.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

Mas a todos que O receberam, os quais creram no Seu nome, deu-lhes o poder de se tornarem filhos de Deus,

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

E a Palavra tornou-Se carne e habitou entre nós, e vimos a Sua glória, como a glória do Unigênito do Pai, cheio de graça e de verdade.

Y aquel Verbo fué hecho carne, y habitó entre nosotros (y vimos su gloria, gloria como del unigénito del Padre), lleno de gracia y de verdad.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The Word became flesh and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the only born Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.

João testifica Dele e clama, dizendo: "Este é Aquele de quem eu disse: 'O que vem depois de mim é superior a mim, pois era antes de mim’”.

Juan dió testimonio de él, y clamó diciendo: Este es del que yo decía: El que viene tras mí, es antes de mí: porque es primero que yo.

John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

John testified about him. He cried out, saying, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me, for he was before me.’”

Porque da Sua plenitude todos recebemos graça sobre graça.

Porque de su plenitud tomamos todos, y gracia por gracia.

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

From his fullness we all received grace upon grace.

Pois a Lei foi dada por meio de Moisés, mas a graça e a verdade vieram por meio de Jesus Cristo.

Porque la ley por Moisés fué dada: mas la gracia y la verdad por Jesucristo fué hecha.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

Ninguém jamais viu a Deus. O único que, sendo Deus, estava junto ao seio do Pai, foi quem O revelou.

A Dios nadie le vió jamás: el unigénito Hijo, que está en el seno del Padre, él le declaró.

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

No one has seen God at any time. The only born Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has declared him.

E este é o testemunho de João, quando os judeus lhe enviaram de Jerusalém sacerdotes e levitas a fim de interrogá-lo: "Quem és tu?".

Y éste es el testimonio de Juan, cuando los Judíos enviaron de Jerusalem sacerdotes y Levitas, que le preguntasen: ¿Tú, quién eres?

And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

This is John’s testimony, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”

Ele afirmou claramente e não negou, mas confessou: "Eu não sou o Cristo".

Y confesó, y no negó; mas declaró: No soy yo el Cristo.

And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

He declared, and didn’t deny, but he declared, “I am not the Christ.”

Então lhe perguntaram: "Quem és tu, então? Tu és Elias?". Ele respondeu: "Não sou". Eles disseram: "Tu és o profeta?". Ele respondeu: "Não".

Y le preguntaron: ¿Qué pues? ¿Eres tú Elías? Dijo: No soy. ¿Eres tú el profeta? Y respondió: No.

And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

They asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the prophet?” He answered, “No.”

Então lhe disseram: "Diga-nos quem és, para que demos resposta àqueles que nos enviaram. O que dizes de ti mesmo?".

Dijéronle: ¿Pues quién eres? para que demos respuesta á los que nos enviaron. ¿Qué dices de ti mismo?

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

They said therefore to him, “Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”

Ele disse: "Eu sou a voz daquele que clama no deserto: 'Endireitai o caminho do Senhor', como o profeta Isaías disse".

Dijo: Yo soy la voz del que clama en el desierto: Enderezad el camino del Señor, como dijo Isaías profeta.

He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

He said, “I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’ as Isaiah the prophet said.”

E aqueles que foram enviados eram dos fariseus.

Y los que habían sido enviados eran de los Fariseos.

And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

The ones who had been sent were from the Pharisees.

E lhe perguntaram: "Então, por que batizas, se não és o Cristo, nem Elias e nem o profeta?".

Y preguntáronle, y dijéronle: ¿Por qué pues bautizas, si tú no eres el Cristo, ni Elías, ni el profeta?

And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

They asked him, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?”

João lhes respondeu: "Eu batizo com água; porém, no meio de vós, está Alguém que não conheceis.

Y Juan les respondió, diciendo: Yo bautizo con agua; mas en medio de vosotros ha estado á quien vosotros no conocéis.

John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

John answered them, “I baptize in water, but among you stands one whom you don’t know.

Esse é o que vem depois de mim, de Quem eu não sou digno de desatar as correias de Suas sandálias".

Este es el que ha de venir tras mí, el cual es antes de mí: del cual yo no soy digno de desatar la correa del zapato.

He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

He is the one who comes after me, who is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I’m not worthy to loosen.”

Essas coisas aconteceram em Betânia, no outro lado do Jordão, onde João estava batizando.

Estas cosas acontecieron en Betábara, de la otra parte del Jordán, donde Juan bautizaba.

These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

No dia seguinte, João viu Jesus aproximando-Se dele, e disse: "Eis o Cordeiro de Deus que tira o pecado do mundo!

El siguiente día ve Juan á Jesús que venía á él, y dice: He aquí el Cordero de Dios, que quita el pecado del mundo.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

The next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

Foi a respeito Dele que eu disse: 'Aquele que vem depois de mim é superior a mim, pois existia antes de mim'.

Este es del que dije: Tras mí viene un varón, el cual es antes de mí: porque era primero que yo.

This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.

This is he of whom I said, ‘After me comes a man who is preferred before me, for he was before me.’

Eu não O conhecia, mas, para que Ele fosse revelado a Israel, eu vinha batizando com água".

Y yo no le conocía; más para que fuese manifestado á Israel, por eso vine yo bautizando con agua.

And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

I didn’t know him, but for this reason I came baptizing in water, that he would be revealed to Israel.”

João testemunhou: "Eu vi o Espírito descendo do céu como pomba, e permaneceu sobre Ele.

Y Juan dió testimonio, diciendo: Vi al Espíritu que descendía del cielo como paloma, y reposó sobre él.

And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

John testified, saying, “I have seen the Spirit descending like a dove out of heaven, and it remained on him.

Eu não O conhecia; porém, Aquele que me enviou a batizar com água, disse-me: 'Aquele sobre Quem vires o Espírito descer e permanecer sobre Ele, Este é o que batiza com o Espírito Santo'.

Y yo no le conocía; mas el que me envió á bautizar con agua, aquél me dijo: Sobre quien vieres descender el Espíritu, y que reposa sobre él, éste es el que bautiza con Espíritu Santo.

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

I didn’t recognize him, but he who sent me to baptize in water said to me, ‘On whomever you will see the Spirit descending and remaining on him is he who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’

Eu vi e testemunhei que Esse é o Filho de Deus".

Y yo le vi, y he dado testimonio que éste es el Hijo de Dios.

And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

I have seen and have testified that this is the Son of God.”

No dia seguinte, João estava lá novamente com dois de seus discípulos;

El siguiente día otra vez estaba Juan, y dos de sus discípulos.

Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;

e, ao ver Jesus passando, disse: "Eis o Cordeiro de Deus!".

Y mirando á Jesús que andaba por allí, dijo: He aquí el Cordero de Dios.

And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

and he looked at Jesus as he walked, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!”

Os dois discípulos ouviram o que João disse, e passaram a seguir Jesus.

And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

Jesus voltou-Se, viu que eles O seguiam, e disse-lhes: "O que quereis?". Eles responderam: "Rabi (que quer dizer 'mestre'), onde moras?".

Y volviéndose Jesús, y viéndolos seguirle, díceles: ¿Qué buscáis? Y ellos le dijeron: Rabbí (que declarado quiere decir Maestro) ¿dónde moras?

Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

Jesus turned and saw them following, and said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, being interpreted, Teacher), “where are you staying?”

Ele diz-lhes: "Vinde e vereis". Foram, pois, e viram onde Jesus morava; e permaneceram com Ele naquele dia, pois já se aproximava da hora décima.

Díceles: Venid y ved. Vinieron, y vieron donde moraba, y quedáronse con él aquel día: porque era como la hora de las diez.

He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.

André, irmão de Simão Pedro, era um dos que ouviram João falar e seguiram a Jesus.

Era Andrés, hermano de Simón Pedro, uno de los dos que habían oído de Juan, y le habían seguido.

One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.

Ele encontrou primeiro seu próprio irmão, Simão, e lhe disse: "Encontramos o Messias" (que traduzido significa 'Cristo').

Este halló primero á su hermano Simón, y díjole: Hemos hallado al Mesías (que declarado es, el Cristo).

He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

He first found his own brother, Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah!” (which is, being interpreted, Christ).

Ele o levou a Jesus. Olhando para ele, Jesus lhe disse: "Tu és Simão, filho de João. Serás chamado Cefas (que quer dizer 'Pedro')".

Y le trajo á Jesús. Y mirándole Jesús, dijo: Tú eres Simón, hijo de Jonás: tú serás llamado Cephas (que quiere decir, Piedra).

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is by interpretation, Peter).

No dia seguinte, quando Jesus foi para a Galileia, encontrou Filipe e lhe disse: "Segue-Me".

El siguiente día quiso Jesús ir á Galilea, y halla á Felipe, al cual dijo: Sígueme.

The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

On the next day, he was determined to go out into Galilee, and he found Philip. Jesus said to him, “Follow me.”

Filipe era de Betsaida, a cidade de André e Pedro.

Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

Filipe encontrou Natanael e disse-lhe: "Aquele sobre O qual a Lei de Moisés e os profetas escreveram, nós O encontramos: Jesus, Filho de José, de Nazaré".

Felipe halló á Natanael, y dícele: Hemos hallado á aquel de quien escribió Moisés en la ley, y los profetas: á Jesús, el hijo de José, de Nazaret.

Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

Philip found Nathanael, and said to him, “We have found him of whom Moses in the law and also the prophets, wrote: Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

Natanael perguntou: "Pode vir alguma coisa boa de Nazaré?". Filipe respondeu: "Vem e vê".

Y díjole Natanael: ¿De Nazaret puede haber algo de bueno? Dícele Felipe: Ven y ve.

And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

Nathanael said to him, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”

Jesus viu Natanael se aproximando, e disse a seu respeito: "Eis aí um israelita em quem não há desonestidade!".

Jesús vió venir á sí á Natanael, y dijo de él: He aquí un verdadero Israelita, en el cual no hay engaño.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

Natanael Lhe perguntou: "De onde me conheces?". Jesus respondeu: "Antes que Filipe te chamasse, Eu te vi, quando estavas debaixo da figueira".

Dícele Natanael: ¿De dónde me conoces? Respondió Jesús, y díjole: Antes que Felipe te llamara, cuando estabas debajo de la higuera te vi.

Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

Natanael respondeu: "Rabi, Tu és o Filho de Deus! Tu és o Rei de Israel!".

Respondió Natanael, y díjole: Rabbí, tú eres el Hijo de Dios; tú eres el Rey de Israel.

Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are King of Israel!”

Então Jesus lhe disse: "Porque te disse que havia te visto debaixo da figueira, crês? Tu verás coisas maiores do que essa.

Respondió Jesús y díjole: ¿Porque te dije, te vi debajo de la higuera, crees? cosas mayores que éstas verás.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

Jesus answered him, “Because I told you, ‘I saw you underneath the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these!”

Em verdade, em verdade vos digo que vós vereis os céus abertos, e os anjos de Deus subindo e descendo sobre o Filho do Homem".

Y dícele: De cierto, de cierto os digo: De aquí adelante veréis el cielo abierto, y los ángeles de Dios que suben y descienden sobre el Hijo del hombre.

And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

He said to him, “Most certainly, I tell you all, hereafter you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”
