Am Anfang war das Wort, und das Wort war bei Gott, und das Wort war gott (Gott, göttlich).

EN el principio era el Verbo, y el Verbo era con Dios, y el Verbo era Dios.

in ihm (durch ihn) entstanden war, war Leben, und das Leben war das Licht der Menschen –

und das Licht scheint in der Dunkelheit, und die Dunkelheit hat es nicht überwunden (verstanden, aufgenommen; kann es nicht überwinden).

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Ein Mensch trat auf (Es war ein Mensch/gab einen Menschen), gesandt von Gott, namens Johannes,

der kam als (zum) Zeugnis, um (damit) als Zeuge über das Licht aufzutreten (auszusagen; Zeugnis zu geben; Zeuge zu sein), damit alle durch ihn (es) glauben werden.

Este vino por testimonio, para que diese testimonio de la luz, para que todos creyesen por él.

The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

The same came as a witness, that he might testify about the light, that all might believe through him.

Er selbst (Jener, der Genannte) war nicht das Licht, vielmehr (sondern) †war es seine Aufgabe, {um} als Zeuge für das Licht aufzutreten (auszusagen über; Zeugnis zu geben; Zeuge zu sein).

No era él la luz, sino para que diese testimonio de la luz.

He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

He was not the light, but was sent that he might testify about the light.

Das (Es/da war das) wahre Licht, das alle Menschen beleuchtet (erleuchtet, erhellt), kam in (das … kam) in die Welt.

Aquél era la luz verdadera, que alumbra á todo hombre que viene á este mundo.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.

Er (es) war in der Welt, und die Welt ist durch ihn entstanden, aber (und) die Welt erkannte (erkannte an, kannte) ihn nicht.

En el mundo estaba, y el mundo fué hecho por él; y el mundo no le conoció.

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn’t recognize him.

Er kam zu den Seinen (zu/in sein Eigentum), aber (und) die Seinen hießen ihn nicht willkommen (nahmen ihn nicht auf).

A lo suyo vino, y los suyos no le recibieron.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

He came to his own, and those who were his own didn’t receive him.

Aber denjenigen, die ihn aufnahmen (empfingen), gab er das Vorrecht (Erlaubnis, Vollmacht), Kinder Gottes zu werden: denen, die an seinen Namen glaubten (glauben),

Mas á todos los que le recibieron, dióles potestad de ser hechos hijos de Dios, á los que creen en su nombre:

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

die nicht von (aus) Blutes, noch von (aus) fleischlichem Willen, noch von (aus) menschlichem Willen, sondern von (aus) Gott geboren (gezeugt) sind.

Los cuales no son engendrados de sangre, ni de voluntad de carne, ni de voluntad de varón, mas de Dios.

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Und das Wort wurde Fleisch und lebte (wohnte) unter (bei) uns, und wir haben seine Herrlichkeit gesehen, Herrlichkeit wie (als) †die des einzigartigen (einzigen, eingeborenen) †Sohnes, vom Vater, voller Gnade und Wahrheit.

Y aquel Verbo fué hecho carne, y habitó entre nosotros (y vimos su gloria, gloria como del unigénito del Padre), lleno de gracia y de verdad.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The Word became flesh and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the only born Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Johannes verbürgte sich für ihn (trat als sein Zeuge auf, bezeugte ihn) und rief die Worte (indem/als er sagte; sagend): „Der hier ist es, den ich meinte (von dem ich sagte): »Der nach mir gekommen ist (kommt), ist vor mich gekommen (wichtiger als ich geworden; vor mir entstanden/gewesen; mir voraus), denn er war vor mir.«“

Juan dió testimonio de él, y clamó diciendo: Este es del que yo decía: El que viene tras mí, es antes de mí: porque es primero que yo.

John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

John testified about him. He cried out, saying, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me, for he was before me.’”

Denn von seinem Reichtum (Überfluss, Fülle) haben wir alle †etwas erhalten: Gnade über ((im Austausch((im Austausch) für) Gnade!

Porque de su plenitud tomamos todos, y gracia por gracia.

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

From his fullness we all received grace upon grace.

Denn das Gesetz ist durch Mose gegeben worden, †doch die Gnade und die Wahrheit sind durch Jesus †Wirklichkeit geworden (entstanden).

Porque la ley por Moisés fué dada: mas la gracia y la verdad por Jesucristo fué hecha.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

Niemand hat Gott jemals gesehen. †Der einzigartige (einzige) Gott (Sohn) (†Der einzigartige †Sohn, Gott), der ganz nah (an der Seite, am Busen) des Vaters ist, der hat sich (†ihn) gänzlich bekannt gemacht.

A Dios nadie le vió jamás: el unigénito Hijo, que está en el seno del Padre, él le declaró.

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

No one has seen God at any time. The only born Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has declared him.

Und dieses ist das Zeugnis des Johannes, als die Juden aus Jerusalem Priester und Leviten (zu ihm) die sandten, damit sie ihn fragen: „Du, wer bist Du?“

Y éste es el testimonio de Juan, cuando los Judíos enviaron de Jerusalem sacerdotes y Levitas, que le preguntasen: ¿Tú, quién eres?

And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

This is John’s testimony, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”

Und er bekannte und leugnete nicht, und bekannte {daß}: „Ich bin nicht der Christus.“

Y confesó, y no negó; mas declaró: No soy yo el Cristo.

And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

He declared, and didn’t deny, but he declared, “I am not the Christ.”

Und sie fragten ihn: „Was also? Bist Du Elija?“ Und er sagt: „†Der bin ich nicht.“ „Bist Du der Prophet?“ Und er antwortete: „Nein.“

Y le preguntaron: ¿Qué pues? ¿Eres tú Elías? Dijo: No soy. ¿Eres tú el profeta? Y respondió: No.

And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

They asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the prophet?” He answered, “No.”

Sie sagten ihm also: „Wer bist Du? Damit wir Antwort geben denen, die uns gesandt haben. Was sagst Du über Dich selbst?“

Dijéronle: ¿Pues quién eres? para que demos respuesta á los que nos enviaron. ¿Qué dices de ti mismo?

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

They said therefore to him, “Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”

Er sagte: „Ich bin eine Stimme, die in der Wüste (Einöde) ruft: 'Macht gerade den Weg des Herrn', wie Jesaja der Prophet sagte.“

Dijo: Yo soy la voz del que clama en el desierto: Enderezad el camino del Señor, como dijo Isaías profeta.

He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

He said, “I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’ as Isaiah the prophet said.”

Und †einige Abgesandte waren aus (von) den Pharisäern.

Y los que habían sido enviados eran de los Fariseos.

And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

The ones who had been sent were from the Pharisees.

Und sie fragten ihn und sagten ihm: „Was also taufst Du, wenn Du nicht der Christus bist, und nicht Elija und nicht der Prophet?“

Y preguntáronle, y dijéronle: ¿Por qué pues bautizas, si tú no eres el Cristo, ni Elías, ni el profeta?

And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

They asked him, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?”

{Der} Johannes antwortet ihnen sagend: „Ich taufe mit (in) Wasser. Unter Euch steht †der, den Ihr nicht kennt,

Y Juan les respondió, diciendo: Yo bautizo con agua; mas en medio de vosotros ha estado á quien vosotros no conocéis.

John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

John answered them, “I baptize in water, but among you stands one whom you don’t know.

der nach mir Kommende, dessen Schuhriemen (dessen Riemen der Sandale) zu lösen ich nicht wert bin.“

Este es el que ha de venir tras mí, el cual es antes de mí: del cual yo no soy digno de desatar la correa del zapato.

He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

He is the one who comes after me, who is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I’m not worthy to loosen.”

Dies geschah in Betanien, auf der anderen Seite des Jordan, wo {der} Johannes taufte.

Estas cosas acontecieron en Betábara, de la otra parte del Jordán, donde Juan bautizaba.

These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

Am nächsten Tag sieht er {den} Jesus auf sich zukommen (zu ihm kommen) und sagt: „Sieh das Lamm Gottes, das wegnimmt (hinwegnimmt, trägt) die Sünde der Welt.

El siguiente día ve Juan á Jesús que venía á él, y dice: He aquí el Cordero de Dios, que quita el pecado del mundo.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

The next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

Dieser ist es, über den ich gesagt habe: 'Nach mir kommt ein Mann, der mir voraus war, weil er vor mir war.'

Este es del que dije: Tras mí viene un varón, el cual es antes de mí: porque era primero que yo.

This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.

This is he of whom I said, ‘After me comes a man who is preferred before me, for he was before me.’

Auch ich kannte ihn nicht, aber damit er {dem} Israel bekannt (offenbart) werde, deshalb bin ich gekommen, mit (in) Wasser zu taufen.“

Y yo no le conocía; más para que fuese manifestado á Israel, por eso vine yo bautizando con agua.

And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

I didn’t know him, but for this reason I came baptizing in water, that he would be revealed to Israel.”

Und Johannes bezeugte {sagend daß}: „Ich habe den Geist wie eine Taube aus dem Himmel herabsteigen sehen, und er blieb (verweilte) auf ihm.

Y Juan dió testimonio, diciendo: Vi al Espíritu que descendía del cielo como paloma, y reposó sobre él.

And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

John testified, saying, “I have seen the Spirit descending like a dove out of heaven, and it remained on him.

Auch ich kannte ihn nicht, aber †der, der mich gesandt hat, mit (in) Wasser zu taufen, {jener} sagte mir: 'Auf wen immer Du den Geist herabsteigen und verweilen (bleiben) siehst, dieser ist der mit (in) heiligem Geist Taufende.'

Y yo no le conocía; mas el que me envió á bautizar con agua, aquél me dijo: Sobre quien vieres descender el Espíritu, y que reposa sobre él, éste es el que bautiza con Espíritu Santo.

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

I didn’t recognize him, but he who sent me to baptize in water said to me, ‘On whomever you will see the Spirit descending and remaining on him is he who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’

Und ich habe gesehen und habe bezeugt, daß dieser der Erwählte (Sohn) Gottes ist.“

Y yo le vi, y he dado testimonio que éste es el Hijo de Dios.

And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

I have seen and have testified that this is the Son of God.”

Am nächsten Tag stand {der} Johannes wiederum †da und zwei seiner Jünger,

El siguiente día otra vez estaba Juan, y dos de sus discípulos.

Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;

und wie er {den} Jesus entlanggehen sieht, sagt er: „Sieh das Lamm Gottes.“

Y mirando á Jesús que andaba por allí, dijo: He aquí el Cordero de Dios.

And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

and he looked at Jesus as he walked, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!”

Und seine (die) zwei (beiden) Jünger hörten ihn sprechen und folgten Jesus.

And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

Wie sich {der} Jesus aber umwended und sieht, daß sie ihm folgen, sagt er ihnen: „Was sucht ihr?“ Die aber sagten ihm: „Rabbi – das heißt übersetzt Lehrer –, wo wohnst Du (hältst Du Dich auf)?“

Y volviéndose Jesús, y viéndolos seguirle, díceles: ¿Qué buscáis? Y ellos le dijeron: Rabbí (que declarado quiere decir Maestro) ¿dónde moras?

Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

Jesus turned and saw them following, and said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, being interpreted, Teacher), “where are you staying?”

Er sagt ihnen: „Kommt und seht.“ Sie kamen also und sahen, wo er wohnt (sich aufhält), und blieben bei ihm jenen Tag (hielten sich jenen Tag bei ihm auf). Das war um die (ungefähr die) zehnte Stunde.

He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

Andreas, der Bruder des Simon Petrus, war einer von der beiden, die {von} Johannes gehört hatten und †Jesus {ihm} gefolgt waren.

Era Andrés, hermano de Simón Pedro, uno de los dos que habían oído de Juan, y le habían seguido.

One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.

Dieser findet zuerst den Bruder, den eigenen, Simon und sagt ihm: „Wir haben den Messias – das heißt übersetzt Christus – gefunden.“

Este halló primero á su hermano Simón, y díjole: Hemos hallado al Mesías (que declarado es, el Cristo).

He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

He first found his own brother, Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah!” (which is, being interpreted, Christ).

Er führte ihn zu Jesus. Wie er ihn sieht, sagte Jesus: „Du bist Simon, der Sohn †des Johannes; Du wirst Kephas – {was} übersetzt {wird} Petrus (Fels) – genannt werden (heißen).“

Y le trajo á Jesús. Y mirándole Jesús, dijo: Tú eres Simón, hijo de Jonás: tú serás llamado Cephas (que quiere decir, Piedra).

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is by interpretation, Peter).

Am nächsten Tag wollte er nach Galiäa gehen (weggehen). Und er findet Philippus und {der} Jesus sagt ihm: „Folge mir.“

El siguiente día quiso Jesús ir á Galilea, y halla á Felipe, al cual dijo: Sígueme.

The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

On the next day, he was determined to go out into Galilee, and he found Philip. Jesus said to him, “Follow me.”

{Der} Philippus aber war von Betsaida, aus der Stadt des Andreas und Petrus.

Y era Felipe de Bethsaida, la ciudad de Andrés y de Pedro.

Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

Philippus findet den Nathanaël und sagt ihm: „Wir haben den gefunden, über den Mose im Gesetz geschrieben hat und die Propheten, Jesus, Sohn des Josef, den von Nazaret.“

Felipe halló á Natanael, y dícele: Hemos hallado á aquel de quien escribió Moisés en la ley, y los profetas: á Jesús, el hijo de José, de Nazaret.

Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

Philip found Nathanael, and said to him, “We have found him of whom Moses in the law and also the prophets, wrote: Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

Und Natanaël sagte ihm: „Aus Nazaret kann †(also) etwas Gutes sein (kommen)?“ {Der} Philippus sagt ihm: „Komm und sieh.“

Y díjole Natanael: ¿De Nazaret puede haber algo de bueno? Dícele Felipe: Ven y ve.

And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

Nathanael said to him, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”

{Der} Jesus sah den Nathanaël auf sich zukommen und sagt über ihn: „Sieh, wahrhaftig ein Israelit, in dem keine Hinterlist (kein Betrug, nichts Unehrliches, nichts Falsches, keine Falschheit) ist.“

Jesús vió venir á sí á Natanael, y dijo de él: He aquí un verdadero Israelita, en el cual no hay engaño.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and said about him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”

Nathanaël sagt ihm: „Woher kennst Du mich?“ Jesus antwortete und sagte ihm: „Bevor Dich Philippus rief, habe ich Dich unter dem Feigenbaum gesehen (Dich gesehen, wie Du unter dem Feigenbaum warst).“

Dícele Natanael: ¿De dónde me conoces? Respondió Jesús, y díjole: Antes que Felipe te llamara, cuando estabas debajo de la higuera te vi.

Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

Nathanaël antwortete ihm: „Rabbi, Du bist der Sohn {des} Gottes, Du bist †der König Israels.“

Respondió Natanael, y díjole: Rabbí, tú eres el Hijo de Dios; tú eres el Rey de Israel.

Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are King of Israel!”

Jesus antwortete und sagte ihm: „Weil ich Dir gesagt habe, daß ich Dich unter dem Feigenbaum sah, glaubst Du? Du wirst größere Dinge als diese sehen.“

Respondió Jesús y díjole: ¿Porque te dije, te vi debajo de la higuera, crees? cosas mayores que éstas verás.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

Jesus answered him, “Because I told you, ‘I saw you underneath the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these!”

Und er sagt ihm: „Amen, Amen, (Wahrlich, wahrlich) sage ich Euch: Ihr werdet den Himmel geöffnet (offen) sehen und die Engel (Boten) Gottes auf den (über dem) Sohn des Menschen auf- und niedersteigen.“

Y dícele: De cierto, de cierto os digo: De aquí adelante veréis el cielo abierto, y los ángeles de Dios que suben y descienden sobre el Hijo del hombre.

And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

He said to him, “Most certainly, I tell you all, hereafter you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”
