Im Anfang war das Wort, und das Wort war bei Gott und Gott war das Wort.

EN el principio era el Verbo, y el Verbo era con Dios, y el Verbo era Dios.

In Ihm war Leben, und das Leben war das Licht der Menschen.

Und das Licht scheint in der Finsternis, und die Finsternis hat es nicht begriffen.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Es ward ein Mensch von Gott gesandt, mit Namen Johannes.

Fué un hombre enviado de Dios, el cual se llamaba Juan.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

Derselbe kam zum Zeugnis, daß er von dem Lichte zeugete, auf daß alle durch ihn glaubten.

Este vino por testimonio, para que diese testimonio de la luz, para que todos creyesen por él.

The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

Er war nicht das Licht, sondern sollte zeugen von dem Licht.

Das war das wahrhaftige Licht, das jeden Menschen erleuchtet, der in die Welt kommt.

Aquél era la luz verdadera, que alumbra á todo hombre que viene á este mundo.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.

Er war in der Welt, und die Welt ist durch Ihn geworden, aber die Welt erkannte Ihn nicht.

En el mundo estaba, y el mundo fué hecho por él; y el mundo no le conoció.

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn’t recognize him.

Er kam in Sein Eigenes, aber die Eigenen nahmen Ihn nicht auf.

A lo suyo vino, y los suyos no le recibieron.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

He came to his own, and those who were his own didn’t receive him.

Wie viele Ihn aber aufnahmen, denen gab Er Gewalt, Gottes Kinder zu werden, denen, die an Seinen Namen glauben;

Mas á todos los que le recibieron, dióles potestad de ser hechos hijos de Dios, á los que creen en su nombre:

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Welche nicht aus dem Geblüt, noch aus dem Willen des Fleisches, noch aus dem Willen eines Mannes, sondern aus Gott geboren sind.

Los cuales no son engendrados de sangre, ni de voluntad de carne, ni de voluntad de varón, mas de Dios.

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Und das Wort ward Fleisch, und wohnte unter uns, und wir schauten Seine Herrlichkeit, eine Herrlichkeit als des Eingeborenen vom Vater, voller Gnade und Wahrheit.

Y aquel Verbo fué hecho carne, y habitó entre nosotros (y vimos su gloria, gloria como del unigénito del Padre), lleno de gracia y de verdad.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The Word became flesh and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the only born Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Johannes zeugt von Ihm, ruft und spricht: Dieser war es, von Dem ich sagte: Der nach mir kommt, ist vor mir gewesen; denn Er war eher, denn ich.

Juan dió testimonio de él, y clamó diciendo: Este es del que yo decía: El que viene tras mí, es antes de mí: porque es primero que yo.

John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

John testified about him. He cried out, saying, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me, for he was before me.’”

Und aus Seiner Fülle haben wir alle genommen, und Gnade um Gnade.

Porque de su plenitud tomamos todos, y gracia por gracia.

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

From his fullness we all received grace upon grace.

Denn das Gesetz ist durch Moses gegeben, die Gnade und Wahrheit durch Jesus Christus geworden.

Porque la ley por Moisés fué dada: mas la gracia y la verdad por Jesucristo fué hecha.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Niemand hat Gott je gesehen; der eingeborene Sohn, Der in des Vaters Schoße ist, Der hat Ihn kundgemacht.

A Dios nadie le vió jamás: el unigénito Hijo, que está en el seno del Padre, él le declaró.

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

No one has seen God at any time. The only born Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has declared him.

Und dies ist das Zeugnis des Johannes, als die Juden aus Jerusalem Priester und Leviten absandten, daß sie ihn fragten: Wer bist du?

Y éste es el testimonio de Juan, cuando los Judíos enviaron de Jerusalem sacerdotes y Levitas, que le preguntasen: ¿Tú, quién eres?

And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

This is John’s testimony, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”

Und er bekannte und leugnete nicht, und er bekannte: Ich bin nicht der Christus.

Y confesó, y no negó; mas declaró: No soy yo el Cristo.

And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

He declared, and didn’t deny, but he declared, “I am not the Christ.”

Und sie fragten ihn: Was denn? Bist du Elias? Und er spricht: Ich bin es nicht. Bist du der Prophet? Und er antwortete: Nein.

Y le preguntaron: ¿Qué pues? ¿Eres tú Elías? Dijo: No soy. ¿Eres tú el profeta? Y respondió: No.

And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

They asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the prophet?” He answered, “No.”

Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Wer bist du? auf daß wir Antwort geben denen, die uns geschickt haben. Was sagst du von dir selbst?

Dijéronle: ¿Pues quién eres? para que demos respuesta á los que nos enviaron. ¿Qué dices de ti mismo?

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

They said therefore to him, “Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”

Er sprach: Ich bin die Stimme eines, der da ruft in der Wüste: Machet gerade den Weg des Herrn, wie Jesajah, der Prophet, gesagt hat.

Dijo: Yo soy la voz del que clama en el desierto: Enderezad el camino del Señor, como dijo Isaías profeta.

He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

He said, “I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’ as Isaiah the prophet said.”

Und die Abgesandten waren von den Pharisäern.

Y los que habían sido enviados eran de los Fariseos.

And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

The ones who had been sent were from the Pharisees.

Und sie fragten ihn und sagten zu ihm: Was taufst du dann, wenn du nicht Christus bist, noch Elias, noch der Prophet?

Y preguntáronle, y dijéronle: ¿Por qué pues bautizas, si tú no eres el Cristo, ni Elías, ni el profeta?

And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

They asked him, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?”

Johannes antwortete ihnen und sprach: Ich taufe mit Wasser, aber in eurer Mitte steht Einer, Den ihr nicht kennt.

Y Juan les respondió, diciendo: Yo bautizo con agua; mas en medio de vosotros ha estado á quien vosotros no conocéis.

John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

John answered them, “I baptize in water, but among you stands one whom you don’t know.

Er ist es, Der nach mir kommt, Welcher vor mir gewesen ist, Dem ich nicht wert bin, die Schuhriemen zu lösen.

Este es el que ha de venir tras mí, el cual es antes de mí: del cual yo no soy digno de desatar la correa del zapato.

He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

He is the one who comes after me, who is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I’m not worthy to loosen.”

Dies geschah in Bethanien, jenseits des Jordan, wo Johannes taufte.

Estas cosas acontecieron en Betábara, de la otra parte del Jordán, donde Juan bautizaba.

These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

Am folgenden Tag sieht Johannes Jesu zu ihm kommen und spricht: Siehe, das Lamm Gottes, das der Welt Sünde wegnimmt.

El siguiente día ve Juan á Jesús que venía á él, y dice: He aquí el Cordero de Dios, que quita el pecado del mundo.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

The next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

Dieser ist es, von Dem ich gesagt habe: Nach mir kommt ein Mann, Der vor mir gewesen ist; denn Er war eher denn ich.

Este es del que dije: Tras mí viene un varón, el cual es antes de mí: porque era primero que yo.

This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.

This is he of whom I said, ‘After me comes a man who is preferred before me, for he was before me.’

Und ich kannte Ihn nicht; aber damit Er Israel offenbar würde, darum bin ich gekommen, mit dem Wasser zu taufen.

Y yo no le conocía; más para que fuese manifestado á Israel, por eso vine yo bautizando con agua.

And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

I didn’t know him, but for this reason I came baptizing in water, that he would be revealed to Israel.”

Und Johannes zeugte und sprach: Ich sah den Geist wie eine Taube herabfahren vom Himmel, und er blieb auf Ihm.

Y Juan dió testimonio, diciendo: Vi al Espíritu que descendía del cielo como paloma, y reposó sobre él.

And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

John testified, saying, “I have seen the Spirit descending like a dove out of heaven, and it remained on him.

Und ich kannte ihn nicht; aber Der mich schickte, zu taufen mit Wasser, Derselbe sprach zu mir: Auf wen du siehst den Geist herabfahren und auf Ihm bleiben, Derselbige ist es, Der mit dem Heiligen Geist tauft.

Y yo no le conocía; mas el que me envió á bautizar con agua, aquél me dijo: Sobre quien vieres descender el Espíritu, y que reposa sobre él, éste es el que bautiza con Espíritu Santo.

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

I didn’t recognize him, but he who sent me to baptize in water said to me, ‘On whomever you will see the Spirit descending and remaining on him is he who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’

Und ich habe es gesehen und bezeugt, daß Dieser ist der Sohn Gottes.

Y yo le vi, y he dado testimonio que éste es el Hijo de Dios.

And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

I have seen and have testified that this is the Son of God.”

Des folgenden Tages stand Johannes wiederum da, und zwei von seinen Jüngern.

El siguiente día otra vez estaba Juan, y dos de sus discípulos.

Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;

Und wie er Jesus wandeln sah, spricht er: Siehe, das Lamm Gottes!

Y mirando á Jesús que andaba por allí, dijo: He aquí el Cordero de Dios.

And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

and he looked at Jesus as he walked, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!”

Und die zwei Jünger hörten ihn reden und folgten Jesus nach.

And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

Jesus aber wandte Sich um und sah sie Sich nachfolgen und sprach zu ihnen: Was sucht ihr? Sie aber sprachen zu Ihm: Rabbi, das ist verdolmetscht Lehrer. Wo verbleibst Du?

Y volviéndose Jesús, y viéndolos seguirle, díceles: ¿Qué buscáis? Y ellos le dijeron: Rabbí (que declarado quiere decir Maestro) ¿dónde moras?

Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

Jesus turned and saw them following, and said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, being interpreted, Teacher), “where are you staying?”

Er spricht zu ihnen: Kommt und seht. Sie kamen und sahen, wo Er verblieb, und blieben selbigen Tag bei Ihm; es war um die zehnte Stunde.

Díceles: Venid y ved. Vinieron, y vieron donde moraba, y quedáronse con él aquel día: porque era como la hora de las diez.

He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.

Andreas, der Bruder des Simon Petrus, war einer von den zweien, die es von Johannes hörten und Ihm nachfolgten.

Era Andrés, hermano de Simón Pedro, uno de los dos que habían oído de Juan, y le habían seguido.

One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.

Dieser findet am ersten seinen eigenen Bruder Simon und spricht zu ihm: Wir haben den Messias welches ist verdolmetscht, der Christus gefunden.

Este halló primero á su hermano Simón, y díjole: Hemos hallado al Mesías (que declarado es, el Cristo).

He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

He first found his own brother, Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah!” (which is, being interpreted, Christ).

Und er führte ihn zu Jesus. Jesus aber blickte ihn an und sprach: Du bist Simon, Jonahs Sohn, du sollst Kephas heißen, was verdolmetscht ist: Petrus.

Y le trajo á Jesús. Y mirándole Jesús, dijo: Tú eres Simón, hijo de Jonás: tú serás llamado Cephas (que quiere decir, Piedra).

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is by interpretation, Peter).

Am folgenden Tage wollte Er nach Galiläa ausziehen; und Er findet Philippus, und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Folge Mir nach!

El siguiente día quiso Jesús ir á Galilea, y halla á Felipe, al cual dijo: Sígueme.

The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

On the next day, he was determined to go out into Galilee, and he found Philip. Jesus said to him, “Follow me.”

Philippus aber war von Bethsaida, aus der Stadt des Andreas und Petrus.

Y era Felipe de Bethsaida, la ciudad de Andrés y de Pedro.

Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

Philippus findet Nathanael und spricht zu ihm: Wir haben Den gefunden, von Dem Moses im Gesetz und die Propheten geschrieben, Jesus, Josephs Sohn von Nazareth.

Felipe halló á Natanael, y dícele: Hemos hallado á aquel de quien escribió Moisés en la ley, y los profetas: á Jesús, el hijo de José, de Nazaret.

Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

Philip found Nathanael, and said to him, “We have found him of whom Moses in the law and also the prophets, wrote: Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

Und Nathanael sprach zu ihm: Kann aus Nazareth etwas Gutes sein? Spricht zu ihm Philippus: Komm und siehe!

Y díjole Natanael: ¿De Nazaret puede haber algo de bueno? Dícele Felipe: Ven y ve.

And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

Nathanael said to him, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”

Jesus sieht Nathanael zu Ihm kommen und spricht zu ihm: Siehe da, wahrhaftig ein Israelite, in dem kein Trug ist.

Jesús vió venir á sí á Natanael, y dijo de él: He aquí un verdadero Israelita, en el cual no hay engaño.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and said about him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”

Nathanael spricht zu Ihm: Woher erkennst Du mich? Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Ehe dir Philippus rief, da du unter dem Feigenbaum warst, sah Ich dich.

Dícele Natanael: ¿De dónde me conoces? Respondió Jesús, y díjole: Antes que Felipe te llamara, cuando estabas debajo de la higuera te vi.

Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

Nathanael antwortete und sprach zu Ihm: Rabbi, Du bist Gottes Sohn, Du bist der König von Israel.

Respondió Natanael, y díjole: Rabbí, tú eres el Hijo de Dios; tú eres el Rey de Israel.

Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are King of Israel!”

Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Weil Ich dir sagte, Ich sah dich unter dem Feigenbaum, glaubst du? Du wirst Größeres, denn dieses sehen.

Respondió Jesús y díjole: ¿Porque te dije, te vi debajo de la higuera, crees? cosas mayores que éstas verás.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

Jesus answered him, “Because I told you, ‘I saw you underneath the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these!”

Und Er spricht zu ihm: Wahrlich, wahrlich, Ich sage euch: Von nun an werdet ihr sehen den Himmel aufgetan und die Engel Gottes aufsteigen und herabsteigen auf des Menschen Sohn.

Y dícele: De cierto, de cierto os digo: De aquí adelante veréis el cielo abierto, y los ángeles de Dios que suben y descienden sobre el Hijo del hombre.

And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

He said to him, “Most certainly, I tell you all, hereafter you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”
