Después de esto, Jesús se apareció una vez más a sus discípulos junto al lago de Tiberíades. Así fue como sucedió:

DESPUÉS se manifestó Jesús otra vez á sus discípulos en la mar de Tiberias; y manifestóse de esta manera.

After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.

After these things, Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. He revealed himself this way.

Estaban juntos Simón Pedro, Tomás al que llamaban el Gemelo, Natanael, el de Caná de Galilea, los hijos de Zebedeo, y otros dos discípulos.

Estaban juntos Simón Pedro, y Tomás, llamado el Dídimo, y Natanael, el que era de Caná de Galilea, y los hijos de Zebedeo, y otros dos de sus discípulos.

There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.

Simón Pedro dijo: ―Me voy a pescar. Ellos le contestaron: ―Nosotros vamos contigo. Salieron de allí y se subieron a la barca, pero esa noche no pescaron nada.

Díceles Simón: A pescar voy. Dícenle: Vamos nosotros también contigo. Fueron, y subieron en una barca; y aquella noche no cogieron nada.

Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.

Simon Peter said to them, “I’m going fishing.” They told him, “We are also coming with you.” They immediately went out and entered into the boat. That night, they caught nothing.

En la madrugada, Jesús estaba en la orilla, pero los discípulos no se dieron cuenta de que era él.

Y venida la mañana, Jesús se puso á la ribera: mas los discípulos no entendieron que era Jesús.

But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

But when day had already come, Jesus stood on the beach; yet the disciples didn’t know that it was Jesus.

Jesús les preguntó: ―Muchachos, ¿tienen algo de comer? ―No —contestaron ellos.

Y díjoles: Mozos, ¿tenéis algo de comer? Respondiéronle: No.

Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.

Jesus therefore said to them, “Children, have you anything to eat?” They answered him, “No.”

Jesús les dijo: ―Echen la red a la derecha de la barca, y pescarán algo. Así lo hicieron, y ya no podían sacar la red del agua por tantos pescados que tenía.

Y él les dice: Echad la red á la mano derecha del barco, y hallaréis. Entonces la echaron, y no la podían en ninguna manera sacar, por la multitud de los peces.

And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” They cast it therefore, and now they weren’t able to draw it in for the multitude of fish.

El discípulo a quien Jesús quería mucho le dijo a Pedro: ―¡Es el Señor! Cuando Simón Pedro le oyó decir: «Es el Señor», se puso la ropa, pues estaba casi desnudo, y se tiro al agua.

Entonces aquel discípulo, al cual amaba Jesús, dijo á Pedro: El Señor es. Y Simón Pedro, como oyó que era el Señor, ciñóse la ropa, porque estaba desnudo, y echóse á la mar.

Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It’s the Lord!” So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he wrapped his coat around himself (for he was naked), and threw himself into the sea.

Los otros discípulos llegaron a la playa en la barca, arrastrando la red llena de pescados, pues estaban como a cien metros de la orilla.

Y los otros discípulos vinieron con el barco (porque no estaban lejos de tierra sino como doscientos codos), trayendo la red de peces.

And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.

But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits away), dragging the net full of fish.

Al bajar a tierra, vieron una fogata con un pescado encima, y pan.

Y como descendieron á tierra, vieron ascuas puestas, y un pez encima de ellas, y pan.

As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.

So when they got out on the land, they saw a fire of coals there, with fish and bread laid on it.

Jesús les dijo: ―Tráiganme algunos de los pescados que acaban de sacar.

Díceles Jesús: Traed de los peces que cogisteis ahora.

Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.

Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.”

Simón Pedro subió a la barca y arrastró hasta la orilla la red, que estaba llena de pescados grandes. Eran ciento cincuenta y tres pescados, y a pesar de ser tantos la red no se rompió.

Subió Simón Pedro, y trajo la red á tierra, llena de grandes peces, ciento cincuenta y tres: y siendo tantos, la red no se rompió.

Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land, full of one hundred fifty-three great fish. Even though there were so many, the net wasn’t torn.

Jesús les dijo: ―Vengan a desayunar. Ninguno de los discípulos se atrevió a preguntarle quién era, porque sabían que era el Señor.

Díceles Jesús: Venid, comed. Y ninguno de los discípulos osaba preguntarle: ¿Tú, quién eres? sabiendo que era el Señor.

Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast!” None of the disciples dared inquire of him, “Who are you?” knowing that it was the Lord.

Jesús se acercó, tomó el pan y se lo dio a ellos, e hizo lo mismo con el pescado.

Viene pues Jesús, y toma el pan, y les da; y asimismo del pez.

Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.

Then Jesus came and took the bread, gave it to them, and the fish likewise.

Esta era la tercera vez que Jesús se aparecía a sus discípulos después de haber resucitado.

Esta era ya la tercera vez que Jesús se manifestó á sus discípulos, habiendo resucitado de los muertos.

This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.

This is now the third time that Jesus was revealed to his disciples after he had risen from the dead.

Después de desayunar, Jesús le preguntó a Simón Pedro: ―Simón, hijo de Juan, ¿me amas más que estos? Pedro le contestó: ―Sí, Señor, tú sabes que te quiero. Jesús le dijo: ―Cuida de mis corderos.

Y cuando hubieron comido, Jesús dijo á Simón Pedro: Simón, hijo de Jonás, ¿me amas más que éstos? Dícele: Sí, Señor: tú sabes que te amo. Dícele: Apacienta mis corderos.

So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

So when they had eaten their breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.”

Jesús volvió a preguntarle: ―Simón, hijo de Juan, ¿me amas? ―Si, Señor, tú sabes que te quiero. Jesús le dijo: ―Cuida de mis ovejas.

Vuélvele á decir la segunda vez: Simón, hijo de Jonás, ¿me amas? Respóndele: Sí, Señor: tú sabes que te amo. Dícele: Apacienta mis ovejas.

He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.”

Por tercera vez Jesús le preguntó: ―Simón, hijo de Juan, ¿me quieres? Pedro se puso triste de que Jesús le preguntara por tercera vez: «¿Me quieres?». Entonces le dijo: ―Señor, tú lo sabes todo; tú sabes que te quiero. Jesús le dijo: ―Cuida de mis ovejas.

Dícele la tercera vez: Simón, hijo de Jonás, ¿me amas? Entristecióse Pedro de que le dijese la tercera vez: ¿Me amas? y dícele: Señor, tú sabes todas las cosas; tú sabes que te amo. Dícele Jesús: Apacienta mis ovejas.

He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you have affection for me?” Peter was grieved because he asked him the third time, “Do you have affection for me?” He said to him, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I have affection for you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.

Es verdad que cuando eras más joven tú mismo te vestías e ibas a donde querías; pero cuando seas viejo, extenderás los brazos y otro te vestirá y te llevará a donde no quieras ir.

De cierto, de cierto te digo: Cuando eras más mozo, te ceñías, é ibas donde querías; mas cuando ya fueres viejo, extenderás tus manos, y te ceñirá otro, y te llevará á donde no quieras.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.

Most certainly I tell you, when you were young, you dressed yourself and walked where you wanted to. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you don’t want to go.”

Jesús dijo esto para dar a entender de que manera moriría Pedro y así glorificaría a Dios. Después le dijo: ―¡Sígueme!

Y esto dijo, dando á entender con qué muerte había de glorificar á Dios. Y dicho esto, dícele: Sígueme.

This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

Now he said this, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. When he had said this, he said to him, “Follow me.”

Pedro se volvió y vio que los seguía el discípulo al que Jesús quería mucho, el que se había acercado a Jesús en la cena y le había dicho: «Señor, ¿quién es el que va a traicionarte?».

Volviéndose Pedro, ve á aquel discípulo al cual amaba Jesús, que seguía, el que también se había recostado á su pecho en la cena, y le había dicho: Señor, ¿quién es el que te ha de entregar?

Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?

Then Peter, turning around, saw a disciple following. This was the disciple whom Jesus loved, the one who had also leaned on Jesus’ chest at the supper and asked, “Lord, who is going to betray you?”

Cuando Pedro lo vio, le preguntó a Jesús: ―Señor, ¿y a este qué le va a pasar?

Así que Pedro vió á éste, dice á Jesús: Señor, ¿y éste, qué?

Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?

Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?”

Jesús le contestó: ―Si quiero que él siga vivo hasta que yo regrese, ¿qué te importa a ti? Tú sígueme.

Dícele Jesús: Si quiero que él quede hasta que yo venga, ¿qué á tí? Sígueme tú.

Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.

Jesus said to him, “If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you? You follow me.”

Por eso, entre los hermanos corrió el rumor de que aquel discípulo no moriría. Pero Jesús no dijo que no moriría. Él dijo: «Si quiero que él siga vivo hasta que yo regrese, ¿qué te importa a ti?».

Salió entonces este dicho entre los hermanos, que aquel discípulo no había de morir. Mas Jesús no le dijo, No morirá; sino: Si quiero que él quede hasta que yo venga ¿qué á ti?

Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?

This saying therefore went out among the brothers that this disciple wouldn’t die. Yet Jesus didn’t say to him that he wouldn’t die, but, “If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you?”

Este es el mismo discípulo que ha dicho todas estas cosas, y que las escribió. Y sabemos que lo que él dice es verdad.

Este es aquel discípulo que da testimonio de estas cosas, y escribió estas cosas: y sabemos que su testimonio es verdadero.

This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

This is the disciple who testifies about these things, and wrote these things. We know that his witness is true.

Jesús hizo muchas otras cosas, tantas que, si se escribiera cada una de ellas, creo que en el mundo entero no cabrían los libros que se escribieran.

Y hay también otras muchas cosas que hizo Jesús, que si se escribiesen cada una por sí, ni aun en el mundo pienso que cabrían los libros que se habrían de escribir. Amén.

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
