1Tres días más tarde hubo una boda en el pueblo de Caná de Galilea, y la madre de Jesús estaba allí.
2También Jesús y sus discípulos habían sido invitados a la boda.
3El vino se acabó y entonces la madre de Jesús le dijo: ―Ya no tienen vino.
4Jesús le respondió: ―Mujer, ¿acaso es mi problema? Todavía no ha llegado mi hora.
5Su madre dijo a los sirvientes: ―Hagan lo que él les ordene.
6Había allí seis tinajas de piedra de unos cien litros de capacidad cada una. Eran tinajas de las que usaban los judíos en sus ceremonias de purificación.
7Jesús ordenó a los sirvientes: ―Llenen de agua estas tinajas. Los sirvientes las llenaron casi hasta rebosar.
8Jesús volvió a ordenarles: ―Ahora, saquen un poco y llévenselo al encargado de la fiesta. Así lo hicieron.
9El encargado de la fiesta probó el agua convertida en vino. Él no sabía de dónde había salido ese vino, pero los sirvientes sí lo sabían pues ellos habían sacado el agua. Entonces el encargado se acercó al novio
10y le dijo: ―Todos sirven el mejor vino primero, y después, cuando los invitados ya han bebido mucho, les sirven el vino barato. Pero tú has guardado el mejor vino hasta el final.
11Jesús hizo esta señal, que fue la primera, en Caná de Galilea. Así dio a conocer su gloria; y sus discípulos creyeron en él.
12Después de esto, Jesús fue al pueblo de Capernaúm con su madre, sus hermanos y sus discípulos, y allí se quedaron unos días.
13Luego, como se acercaba la Pascua, que es una fiesta de los judíos, Jesús se fue a Jerusalén.
14Dentro del templo encontró a los que vendían bueyes, ovejas y palomas, y a los que cambiaban dinero sentados a sus mesas.
15Entonces, hizo un látigo con algunas cuerdas y echó a todos del templo. También echó junto con ellos a sus ovejas y bueyes; arrojó al suelo las monedas de los que cambiaban el dinero y volcó sus mesas.
16A los que vendían palomas, les dijo: ―¡Saquen esto de aquí! ¡No conviertan la casa de mi Padre en un mercado!
17Sus discípulos entonces recordaron que la Escritura dice: «El celo que tengo por tu casa me está consumiendo».
18Frente a esto, los judíos le preguntaron: ―¿Qué señal nos puedes mostrar de que tienes derecho de hacer esto?
19Jesús les contestó: ―Destruyan este templo y en tres días lo volveré a levantar.
20Los judíos dijeron: ―¡Les llevó cuarenta y seis años construir este templo, ¿y tú dices que en tres días lo puedes volver a construir?
21Pero el templo del que él hablaba era su propio cuerpo.
22Por eso, después que resucitó, sus discípulos se acordaron de estas palabras que él había dicho. Entonces creyeron en la Escritura y en lo que Jesús había dicho.
23Mientras Jesús estaba en Jerusalén durante la fiesta de la Pascua, muchos creyeron en él porque vieron las señales milagrosas que hacía.
24Pero Jesús no confiaba en ellos, porque los conocía a todos.
25No necesitaba que nadie le dijera nada acerca de los demás, porque él conocía los pensamientos del ser humano.

1Y AL tercer día hiciéronse unas bodas en Caná de Galilea; y estaba allí la madre de Jesús.
2Y fué también llamado Jesús y sus discípulos á las bodas.
3Y faltando el vino, la madre de Jesús le dijo: Vino no tienen.
4Y dícele Jesús: ¿Qué tengo yo contigo, mujer? aun no ha venido mi hora.
5Su madre dice á los que servían: Haced todo lo que os dijere.
6Y estaban allí seis tinajuelas de piedra para agua, conforme á la purificación de los Judíos, que cabían en cada una dos ó tres cántaros.
7Díceles Jesús: Henchid estas tinajuelas de agua. E hinchiéronlas hasta arriba.
8Y díceles: Sacad ahora, y presentad al maestresala. Y presentáronle.
9Y como el maestresala gustó el agua hecha vino, que no sabía de dónde era (mas lo sabían los sirvientes que habían sacado el agua), el maestresala llama al esposo,
10Y dícele: Todo hombre pone primero el buen vino, y cuando están satisfechos, entonces lo que es peor; mas tú has guardado el buen vino hasta ahora.
11Este principio de señales hizo Jesús en Caná de Galilea, y manifestó su gloria; y sus discípulos creyeron en él.
12Después de esto descendió á Capernaum, él, y su madre, y hermanos, y discípulos; y estuvieron allí no muchos días.
13Y estaba cerca la Pascua de los Judíos; y subió Jesús á Jerusalem.
14Y halló en el templo á los que vendían bueyes, y ovejas, y palomas, y á los cambiadores sentados.
15Y hecho un azote de cuerdas, echólos á todos del templo, y las ovejas, y los bueyes; y derramó los dineros de los cambiadores, y trastornó las mesas;
16Y á los que vendían las palomas, dijo: Quitad de aquí esto, y no hagáis la casa de mi Padre casa de mercado.
17Entonces se acordaron sus discípulos que está escrito: El celo de tu casa me comió.
18Y los Judíos respondieron, y dijéronle: ¿Qué señal nos muestras de que haces esto?
19Respondió Jesús, y díjoles: Destruid este templo, y en tres días lo levantaré.
20Dijeron luego los Judíos: En cuarenta y seis años fué este templo edificado, ¿y tú en tres días lo levantarás?
21Mas él hablaba del templo de su cuerpo.
22Por tanto, cuando resucitó de los muertos, sus discípulos se acordaron que había dicho esto; y creyeron á la Escritura, y á la palabra que Jesús había dicho.
23Y estando en Jerusalem en la Pascua, en el día de la fiesta, muchos creyeron en su nombre, viendo las señales que hacía.
24Mas el mismo Jesús no se confiaba á sí mismo de ellos, porque él conocía á todos,
25Y no tenía necesidad que alguien le diese testimonio del hombre; porque él sabía lo que había en el hombre.

1And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:
2And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
3And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
4Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
5His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
6And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.
7Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
8And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.
9When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,
10And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
11This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
12After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.
13And the Jews’ passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
14And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
15And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables;
16And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise.
17And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
18Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?
19Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21But he spake of the temple of his body.
22When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
23Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.
24But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,
25And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

1The third day, there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there.
2Jesus also was invited, with his disciples, to the wedding.
3When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no wine.”
4Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does that have to do with you and me? My hour has not yet come.”
5His mother said to the servants, “Whatever he says to you, do it.”
6Now there were six water pots of stone set there after the Jews’ way of purifying, containing two or three metretes apiece.
7Jesus said to them, “Fill the water pots with water.” So they filled them up to the brim.
8He said to them, “Now draw some out, and take it to the ruler of the feast.” So they took it.
9When the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and didn’t know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast called the bridegroom
10and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when the guests have drunk freely, then that which is worse. You have kept the good wine until now!”
11This beginning of his signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
12After this, he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, his brothers, and his disciples; and they stayed there a few days.
13The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14He found in the temple those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, and the changers of money sitting.
15He made a whip of cords and drove all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers’ money and overthrew their tables.
16To those who sold the doves, he said, “Take these things out of here! Don’t make my Father’s house a marketplace!”
17His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will eat me up.”
18The Jews therefore answered him, “What sign do you show us, seeing that you do these things?”
19Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
20The Jews therefore said, “It took forty-six years to build this temple! Will you raise it up in three days?”
21But he spoke of the temple of his body.
22When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said.
23Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in his name, observing his signs which he did.
24But Jesus didn’t entrust himself to them, because he knew everyone,
25and because he didn’t need for anyone to testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.
