E havia um homem dos fariseus, cujo nome era Nicodemos, chefe dos judeus.
Y HABÍA un hombre de los Fariseos que se llamaba Nicodemo, príncipe de los Judíos.
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
Este veio a Jesus de noite, e disse-lhe: Rabi, bem sabemos que és Mestre vindo de Deus; porque ninguém pode fazer estes sinais que tu fazes, se Deus não for com ele.
Este vino á Jesús de noche, y díjole: Rabbí, sabemos que has venido de Dios por maestro; porque nadie puede hacer estas señales que tú haces, si no fuere Dios con él.
The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
He came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.”
Respondeu Jesus e disse-lhe: Em verdade, em verdade te digo, que aquele que não voltar a nascer, não pode ver o Reino de Deus.
Respondió Jesús, y díjole: De cierto, de cierto te digo, que el que no naciere otra vez, no puede ver el reino de Dios.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Jesus answered him, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.”
Nicodemos lhe disse: Como pode o homem nascer, sendo já velho? Pode ele voltar a entrar no ventre de sua mãe, e nascer?
Dícele Nicodemo: ¿Cómo puede el hombre nacer siendo viejo? ¿puede entrar otra vez en el vientre de su madre, y nacer?
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
Respondeu Jesus: Em verdade, em verdade te digo, que aquele que não nascer de água e do Espírito, não pode entrar no Reino de Deus.
Respondió Jesús: De cierto, de cierto te digo, que el que no naciere de agua y del Espíritu, no puede entrar en el reino de Dios.
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Jesus answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he can’t enter into God’s Kingdom.
O que é nascido de carne, carne é; e o que é nascido do Espírito, espírito é.
Lo que es nacido de la carne, carne es; y lo que es nacido del Espíritu, espíritu es.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Não te maravilhes de que te disse: necessário vos é voltar a nascer.
No te maravilles de que te dije: Os es necesario nacer otra vez.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Don’t marvel that I said to you, ‘You must all be born anew.’
O vento sopra onde quer, e ouves o seu som; porém não sabes de onde vem, nem para onde vai; assim é todo aquele que é nascido do Espírito.
El viento de donde quiere sopla, y oyes su sonido; mas ni sabes de dónde viene, ni á dónde vaya: así es todo aquel que es nacido del Espíritu.
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don’t know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Nicodemos respondeu, e disse-lhe: Como pode isto acontecer?
Respondió Nicodemo, y díjole: ¿Cómo puede esto hacerse?
Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
Nicodemus answered him, “How can these things be?”
Jesus respondeu, e disse-lhe: Tu és mestre de Israel, e isto não sabes?
Respondió Jesús, y díjole: ¿Tú eres el maestro de Israel, y no sabes esto?
Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and don’t understand these things?
Em verdade, em verdade te digo, que o que sabemos, falamos; e o que temos visto, testemunhamos; e não aceitais nosso testemunho.
De cierto, de cierto te digo, que lo que sabemos hablamos, y lo que hemos visto, testificamos; y no recibís nuestro testimonio.
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
Most certainly I tell you, we speak that which we know and testify of that which we have seen, and you don’t receive our witness.
Se eu vos disse coisas terrenas, e não credes, como crereis, se vos disser as celestiais?
Si os he dicho cosas terrenas, y no creéis, ¿cómo creeréis si os dijere las celestiales?
If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
If I told you earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?
E ninguém subiu ao céu, a não ser o que desceu do céu: o Filho do homem.
Y nadie subió al cielo, sino el que descendió del cielo, el Hijo del hombre, que está en el cielo.
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.
E como Moisés levantou a serpente no deserto, assim deve o Filho do homem ser levantado,
Y como Moisés levantó la serpiente en el desierto, así es necesario que el Hijo del hombre sea levantado;
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
Para que todo aquele que nele crer tenha a vida eterna.
Para que todo aquel que en él creyere, no se pierda, sino que tenga vida eterna.
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Porque Deus amou ao mundo de tal maneira, que deu o seu Filho unigênito; para que todo aquele que nele crê não pereça, mas tenha a vida eterna.
Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado á su Hijo unigénito, para que todo aquel que en él cree, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Porque Deus não mandou seu Filho ao mundo para que condenasse ao mundo; mas sim para que o mundo por ele fosse salvo;
Porque no envió Dios á su Hijo al mundo para que condene al mundo, mas para que el mundo sea salvo por él.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
Quem nele crer não é condenado; mas quem não crê já está condenado; pois não tem crido no nome do unigênito Filho de Deus.
El que en él cree, no es condenado; mas el que no cree, ya es condenado, porque no creyó en el nombre del unigénito Hijo de Dios.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.
E esta é a condenação: que a luz veio ao mundo, e as pessoas amaram mais as trevas que a luz, porque suas obras eram más.
Y esta es la condenación: porque la luz vino al mundo, y los hombres amaron más las tinieblas que la luz; porque sus obras eran malas.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil.
Porque todo aquele que faz o mal odeia a luz e não vem à luz, para que suas obras não sejam reprovadas.
Porque todo aquel que hace lo malo, aborrece la luz y no viene á la luz, porque sus obras no sean redargüidas.
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
For everyone who does evil hates the light and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.
Mas quem pratica a verdade vem à luz, para que suas obras sejam manifestas, que são feitas em Deus.
Mas el que obra verdad, viene á la luz, para que sus obras sean manifestadas que son hechas en Dios.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”
Depois disto Jesus veio com seus discípulos à terra da Judeia; e estava ali com eles, e batizava.
Pasado esto, vino Jesús con sus discípulos á la tierra de Judea; y estaba allí con ellos, y bautizaba.
After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judæa; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
After these things, Jesus came with his disciples into the land of Judea. He stayed there with them and baptized.
E João também batizava em Enom, junto a Salim, porque havia ali muitas águas; e vinham ali , e eram batizados,
Y bautizaba también Juan en Enón junto á Salim, porque había allí muchas aguas; y venían, y eran bautizados.
And John also was baptizing in Ænon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

Porque João ainda não tinha sido lançado na prisão.

Houve pois uma discussão dos Discípulos de João com os judeus sobre a purificação.
Y hubo cuestión entre los discípulos de Juan y los Judíos acerca de la purificación.
Then there arose a question between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying.
Therefore a dispute arose on the part of John’s disciples with some Jews about purification.
E vieram a João, e disseram-lhe: Rabi, aquele que estava contigo dalém do Jordão, ao qual tu deste testemunho, eis que batiza, e todos vem a ele.
Y vinieron á Juan, y dijéronle: Rabbí, el que estaba contigo de la otra parte del Jordán, del cual tú diste testimonio, he aquí bautiza, y todos vienen á él.
And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.
They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, he baptizes, and everyone is coming to him.”
João respondeu, e disse: O ser humano não pode receber coisa alguma, se não lhe for dada do céu.
Respondió Juan, y dijo: No puede el hombre recibir algo, si no le fuere dado del cielo.
John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
John answered, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven.
Vós mesmos me sois testemunhas, que disse: Eu não sou o Cristo; mas que sou enviado diante dele.
Vosotros mismos me sois testigos que dije: Yo no soy el Cristo, sino que soy enviado delante de él.
Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.
You yourselves testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before him.’
Aquele que tem a esposa, é o esposo; mas o amigo do esposo, que o apoia, e lhe ouve, alegra-se muito pela voz do esposo. Assim pois já este meu gozo é cumprido.
El que tiene la esposa, es el esposo; mas el amigo del esposo, que está en pie y le oye, se goza grandemente de la voz del esposo; así pues, este mi gozo es cumplido.
He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore my joy is made full.
A ele convém crescer, porém a mim diminuir.
A él conviene crecer, mas á mí menguar.
He must increase, but I must decrease.
He must increase, but I must decrease.
Aquele que vem de cima, é sobre todos; aquele que vem da terra, da terra é, e da terra fala. Aquele que vem do céu é sobre todos.
El que de arriba viene, sobre todos es: el que es de la tierra, terreno es, y cosas terrenas habla: el que viene del cielo, sobre todos es.
He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
“He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.
E daquilo que viu e ouviu, isto testemunha; e ninguém aceita seu testemunho.
Y lo que vió y oyó, esto testifica: y nadie recibe su testimonio.
And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness.
Aquele que aceitou seu testemunho, esse selou que Deus é verdadeiro.
El que recibe su testimonio, éste signó que Dios es verdadero.
He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.
He who has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true.
Porque aquele que Deus enviou, as palavras de Deus fala; porque não lhe dá Deus o Espírito por medida.
Porque el que Dios envió, las palabras de Dios habla: porque no da Dios el Espíritu por medida.
For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.
O Pai ama ao Filho, e todas as coisas lhe deu em sua mão.
El Padre ama al Hijo, y todas las cosas dió en su mano.
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.
Aquele que crê no Filho tem vida eterna; porém aquele que é desobediente ao Filho não verá a vida eterna , mas a ira de Deus continua sobre ele.
El que cree en el Hijo, tiene vida eterna; mas el que es incrédulo al Hijo, no verá la vida, sino que la ira de Dios está sobre él.
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”
