Juan 3

Es war {aber} ein Mensch von (aus) den Pharisäern, Nikodemus war sein Name, †einer der Mächtigen (Alten, Oberen) der Juden.

Y HABÍA un hombre de los Fariseos que se llamaba Nicodemo, príncipe de los Judíos.

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

Dieser kam nachts zu ihm und sagte zu ihm: Lehrer (Rabbi), wir wissen, dass du von Gott gekommen bist, ein Lehrer. Denn niemand kann diese Zeichen tun, die du tust, wenn nicht Gott mit ihm sei.

Este vino á Jesús de noche, y díjole: Rabbí, sabemos que has venido de Dios por maestro; porque nadie puede hacer estas señales que tú haces, si no fuere Dios con él.

The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

He came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.”

Jesus antwortete und sagte zu ihm: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage dir, wer nicht von neuem geboren wird, kann das Königreich Gottes nicht sehen.

Respondió Jesús, y díjole: De cierto, de cierto te digo, que el que no naciere otra vez, no puede ver el reino de Dios.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Jesus answered him, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.”

Nikodemus sagt zu ihm: Wie kann ein Mensch gezeugt (geboren) werden, wenn er ein Greis ist? Kann er etwa zum zweiten mal (erneut) in den Mutterleib hineingehen und geboren werden?

Dícele Nicodemo: ¿Cómo puede el hombre nacer siendo viejo? ¿puede entrar otra vez en el vientre de su madre, y nacer?

Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

Jesus antwortete: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage dir: Wenn jemand nicht aus Wasser und Geist geboren wird, kann er nicht in das Königreich Gottes eingehen.

Respondió Jesús: De cierto, de cierto te digo, que el que no naciere de agua y del Espíritu, no puede entrar en el reino de Dios.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Jesus answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he can’t enter into God’s Kingdom.

Das Gezeugte aus dem Fleisch ist Fleisch; und das Gezeugte aus dem Geist ist Geist.

Lo que es nacido de la carne, carne es; y lo que es nacido del Espíritu, espíritu es.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Wundere dich nicht, wenn ich dir sagte: Es ist nötig, dass ihr von neuem geboren werdet.

No te maravilles de que te dije: Os es necesario nacer otra vez.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Don’t marvel that I said to you, ‘You must all be born anew.’

Der Geist weht, wo er will, und seine Stimme hörst du zwar, aber du weißt nicht, woher er kommt und wohin er geht. So ist jeder aus dem Geist Geborene (Gezeugte).

El viento de donde quiere sopla, y oyes su sonido; mas ni sabes de dónde viene, ni á dónde vaya: así es todo aquel que es nacido del Espíritu.

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don’t know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Nikodemus antwortete und sagte zu ihm: Wie kann dies geschehen?

Respondió Nicodemo, y díjole: ¿Cómo puede esto hacerse?

Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

Nicodemus answered him, “How can these things be?”

Jesus antwortete und sagte zu ihm: Du bist der Lehrer Israels und weißt dies nicht?

Respondió Jesús, y díjole: ¿Tú eres el maestro de Israel, y no sabes esto?

Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and don’t understand these things?

Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage dir: Das, was wir wissen, davon reden wir, und was wir gesehen haben, bezeugen wir, und unser Zeugnis nehmt ihr nicht an.

De cierto, de cierto te digo, que lo que sabemos hablamos, y lo que hemos visto, testificamos; y no recibís nuestro testimonio.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

Most certainly I tell you, we speak that which we know and testify of that which we have seen, and you don’t receive our witness.

Wenn ich euch das Irdische sage und ihr glaubt nicht, wie werdet ihr glauben, wenn ich euch das Himmlische sage?

Si os he dicho cosas terrenas, y no creéis, ¿cómo creeréis si os dijere las celestiales?

If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

If I told you earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

Niemand ist hinaufgestiegen in den Himmel, als nur derjenige, der aus dem Himmel herabgekommen ist, nämlich der Sohn des Menschen.

Y nadie subió al cielo, sino el que descendió del cielo, el Hijo del hombre, que está en el cielo.

And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.

Und wie Mose die Schlange in der Wüste erhöhte, so ist es nötig, dass der Menschensohn erhöht wird,

Y como Moisés levantó la serpiente en el desierto, así es necesario que el Hijo del hombre sea levantado;

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

damit jeder, der glaubt, in ihm das ewige Leben hat.

Para que todo aquel que en él creyere, no se pierda, sino que tenga vida eterna.

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

So nämlich hat Gott die Welt geliebt, dass er seinen einzigen Sohn gab, damit jeder, der an ihn glaubt, nicht verloren geht, sondern ewiges Leben hat.

Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado á su Hijo unigénito, para que todo aquel que en él cree, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Denn Gott hat den Sohn nicht in die Welt geschickt (gesandt), damit er die Welt richtet, sondern damit die Welt durch ihn gerettet wird.

Porque no envió Dios á su Hijo al mundo para que condene al mundo, mas para que el mundo sea salvo por él.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.

Wer an ihn glaubt, wird nicht gerichtet. Wer aber nicht glaubt, ist schon gerichtet, weil er nicht an den Namen des einzig geborenen (eingeborenen) Sohnes Gottes geglaubt hat.

El que en él cree, no es condenado; mas el que no cree, ya es condenado, porque no creyó en el nombre del unigénito Hijo de Dios.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.

Dies aber ist das Urteil (das Gericht), daß das Licht in die Welt kam und die Menschen die Dunkelheit (Finsternis) mehr liebten als das Licht – ihre Werke waren nämlich böse (schlecht).

Y esta es la condenación: porque la luz vino al mundo, y los hombres amaron más las tinieblas que la luz; porque sus obras eran malas.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil.

Jeder nämlich, der das Schlechte tut (zu tun pflegt), haßt das Licht und kommt nicht zum Licht, damit seine Werke nicht bloßgestellt (öffentlich gemacht und gerügt/verurteilt) werden.

Porque todo aquel que hace lo malo, aborrece la luz y no viene á la luz, porque sus obras no sean redargüidas.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

For everyone who does evil hates the light and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.

Wer aber die Wahrheit tut, kommt zum Licht, damit seine Taten offenbar (sichtbar, bekannt) werden, †und offenbar wird, daß sie in Gott (mit Gottes Hilfe, nach Gottes Willen) getan (vollbracht, gewirkt) sind.

Mas el que obra verdad, viene á la luz, para que sus obras sean manifestadas que son hechas en Dios.

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”

Danach kamen {der} Jesus und seine Jünger in das Land Judäa, und dort verweilte er mit ihnen und taufte.

Pasado esto, vino Jesús con sus discípulos á la tierra de Judea; y estaba allí con ellos, y bautizaba.

After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judæa; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

After these things, Jesus came with his disciples into the land of Judea. He stayed there with them and baptized.

Aber auch {der} Johannes taufte †damals in Änon nahe Salims, weil es dort viel Wasser gab, und Leute kamen (hinzu) und ließen sich taufen (wurden getauft).

Y bautizaba también Juan en Enón junto á Salim, porque había allí muchas aguas; y venían, y eran bautizados.

And John also was baptizing in Ænon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

John also was baptizing in Enon near Salim, because there was much water there. They came and were baptized;

Johannes war (lag) nämlich noch nicht ins (im) Gefängniss geworfen (worden).

Porque Juan no había sido aún puesto en la carcel.

For John was not yet cast into prison.

for John was not yet thrown into prison.

Es kam also zu einer Diskussion (einer Auseinandersetzung, einem Wortgefecht) ausgehend von (unter, zwischen) den Jüngern (einigen der Jünger) †des Johannes und (mit) einem Juden über die Frage der (über die) Reinigung.

Y hubo cuestión entre los discípulos de Juan y los Judíos acerca de la purificación.

Then there arose a question between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying.

Therefore a dispute arose on the part of John’s disciples with some Jews about purification.

Und sie kamen zu {dem} Johannes und sagten ihm: „Rabbi, der †Mann, der mit Dir auf der anderen Seite des Jordans war, über (für) den Du Zeugnis gegeben hast, sieh, dieser tauft und alle kommen zu ihm.“

Y vinieron á Juan, y dijéronle: Rabbí, el que estaba contigo de la otra parte del Jordán, del cual tú diste testimonio, he aquí bautiza, y todos vienen á él.

And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, he baptizes, and everyone is coming to him.”

Johannes antwortete und sagte: „Ein Mensch kann †sich nichts (nicht einmal eine einzige Sache) nehmen, wenn es (sie) ihm nicht aus dem (vom) Himmel gegeben ist (wird).

Respondió Juan, y dijo: No puede el hombre recibir algo, si no le fuere dado del cielo.

John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

John answered, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven.

Ihr selbst seid meine Zeugen (bezeugt mir), daß ich gesagt habe: »Nicht bin ich der Christus (Messias), sondern {daß} ein Bote (Gesandter) bin ich vor ihm (jenem).«

Vosotros mismos me sois testigos que dije: Yo no soy el Cristo, sino que soy enviado delante de él.

Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.

You yourselves testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before him.’

Wer die Braut hat, †der ist der Bräutigam. Der Freund des Bräutigams aber, der dabeisteht (steht) und ihn hört, freut sich mit Freude wegen der Stimme des Bräutigams. Diese meine Freude ist also jetzt erfüllt (vervollständigt).

El que tiene la esposa, es el esposo; mas el amigo del esposo, que está en pie y le oye, se goza grandemente de la voz del esposo; así pues, este mi gozo es cumplido.

He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore my joy is made full.

Jener muß wachsen, ich aber kleiner werden (abnehmen).“

A él conviene crecer, mas á mí menguar.

He must increase, but I must decrease.

He must increase, but I must decrease.

Wer von oben kommt, steht (ist) über allen. Wer aus der Erde (irdisch) ist, ist aus der Erde (irdisch) und spricht aus der Erde (so spricht er auch, spricht irdisch). Wer aus dem Himmel kommt, steht (ist) über allen.

El que de arriba viene, sobre todos es: el que es de la tierra, terreno es, y cosas terrenas habla: el que viene del cielo, sobre todos es.

He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

“He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

Was er gesehen und gehört hat, dieses bezeugt er, und keiner nimmt sein Zeugnis an.

Y lo que vió y oyó, esto testifica: y nadie recibe su testimonio.

And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness.

Wer sein Zeugnis annimmt, †der (hat) besiegelt (bestätigt, beglaubigt), daß Gott wahrhaftig ist.

El que recibe su testimonio, éste signó que Dios es verdadero.

He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

He who has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true.

Der nämlich, den Gott gesandt hat, †der spricht die Worte Gottes, denn er gibt den Geist nicht spärlich.

Porque el que Dios envió, las palabras de Dios habla: porque no da Dios el Espíritu por medida.

For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.

Der Vater liebt den Sohn, und alles (alle Dinge) hat er in seine Hand gegeben.

El Padre ama al Hijo, y todas las cosas dió en su mano.

The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.

Wer an den Sohn glaubt, hat ewiges Leben. Wer aber dem Sohn nicht gehorcht, wird †das Leben nicht sehen, sondern der Zorn Gottes bleibt auf ihm.

El que cree en el Hijo, tiene vida eterna; mas el que es incrédulo al Hijo, no verá la vida, sino que la ira de Dios está sobre él.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”
