Juan 3

Es war aber ein Mensch unter den Pharisäern, namens Nikodemus, ein Oberster der Juden.

Y HABÍA un hombre de los Fariseos que se llamaba Nicodemo, príncipe de los Judíos.

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

Dieser kam des Nachts zu Jesus und sprach zu ihm: Rabbi, wir wissen, daß du ein Lehrer bist, von Gott gekommen; denn niemand kann diese Zeichen tun, die du tust, es sei denn Gott mit ihm!

Este vino á Jesús de noche, y díjole: Rabbí, sabemos que has venido de Dios por maestro; porque nadie puede hacer estas señales que tú haces, si no fuere Dios con él.

The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

He came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.”

Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage dir, wenn jemand nicht von neuem geboren wird, so kann er das Reich Gottes nicht sehen!

Respondió Jesús, y díjole: De cierto, de cierto te digo, que el que no naciere otra vez, no puede ver el reino de Dios.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Jesus answered him, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.”

Nikodemus spricht zu ihm: Wie kann ein Mensch geboren werden, wenn er alt ist? Er kann doch nicht zum zweitenmal in seiner Mutter Schoß gehen und geboren werden?

Dícele Nicodemo: ¿Cómo puede el hombre nacer siendo viejo? ¿puede entrar otra vez en el vientre de su madre, y nacer?

Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

Jesus antwortete: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage dir, wenn jemand nicht aus Wasser und Geist geboren wird, so kann er nicht in das Reich Gottes eingehen!

Respondió Jesús: De cierto, de cierto te digo, que el que no naciere de agua y del Espíritu, no puede entrar en el reino de Dios.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Jesus answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he can’t enter into God’s Kingdom.

Was aus dem Fleische geboren ist, das ist Fleisch, und was aus dem Geiste geboren ist, das ist Geist.

Lo que es nacido de la carne, carne es; y lo que es nacido del Espíritu, espíritu es.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Laß dich's nicht wundern, daß ich dir gesagt habe: Ihr müßt von neuem geboren werden!

No te maravilles de que te dije: Os es necesario nacer otra vez.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Don’t marvel that I said to you, ‘You must all be born anew.’

Der Wind weht, wo er will, und du hörst sein Sausen; aber du weißt nicht, woher er kommt, noch wohin er fährt. Also ist ein jeder, der aus dem Geist geboren ist.

El viento de donde quiere sopla, y oyes su sonido; mas ni sabes de dónde viene, ni á dónde vaya: así es todo aquel que es nacido del Espíritu.

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don’t know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Nikodemus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Wie kann das geschehen?

Respondió Nicodemo, y díjole: ¿Cómo puede esto hacerse?

Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

Nicodemus answered him, “How can these things be?”

Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Du bist der Lehrer Israels und verstehst das nicht?

Respondió Jesús, y díjole: ¿Tú eres el maestro de Israel, y no sabes esto?

Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and don’t understand these things?

Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage dir: Wir reden, was wir wissen, und wir bezeugen, was wir gesehen haben; und doch nehmt ihr unser Zeugnis nicht an.

De cierto, de cierto te digo, que lo que sabemos hablamos, y lo que hemos visto, testificamos; y no recibís nuestro testimonio.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

Most certainly I tell you, we speak that which we know and testify of that which we have seen, and you don’t receive our witness.

Glaubet ihr nicht, wenn ich euch von irdischen Dingen sage, wie werdet ihr glauben, wenn ich euch von den himmlischen Dingen sagen werde?

Si os he dicho cosas terrenas, y no creéis, ¿cómo creeréis si os dijere las celestiales?

If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

If I told you earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

Und niemand ist in den Himmel hinaufgestiegen, außer dem, der aus dem Himmel herabgestiegen ist, des Menschen Sohn, der im Himmel ist.

Y nadie subió al cielo, sino el que descendió del cielo, el Hijo del hombre, que está en el cielo.

And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.

Und wie Mose in der Wüste die Schlange erhöhte, also muß des Menschen Sohn erhöht werden,

Y como Moisés levantó la serpiente en el desierto, así es necesario que el Hijo del hombre sea levantado;

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

auf daß jeder, der an ihn glaubt, nicht verloren gehe, sondern ewiges Leben habe.

Para que todo aquel que en él creyere, no se pierda, sino que tenga vida eterna.

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Denn Gott hat die Welt so geliebt, daß er seinen eingeborenen Sohn gab, damit jeder, der an ihn glaubt, nicht verloren gehe, sondern ewiges Leben habe.

Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado á su Hijo unigénito, para que todo aquel que en él cree, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Denn Gott hat seinen Sohn nicht in die Welt gesandt, daß er die Welt richte, sondern daß die Welt durch ihn gerettet werde.

Porque no envió Dios á su Hijo al mundo para que condene al mundo, mas para que el mundo sea salvo por él.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.

Wer an ihn glaubt, wird nicht gerichtet; wer aber nicht glaubt, der ist schon gerichtet, weil er nicht geglaubt hat an den Namen des eingeborenen Sohnes Gottes.

El que en él cree, no es condenado; mas el que no cree, ya es condenado, porque no creyó en el nombre del unigénito Hijo de Dios.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.

Darin besteht aber das Gericht, daß das Licht in die Welt gekommen ist, und die Menschen liebten die Finsternis mehr als das Licht; denn ihre Werke waren böse.

Y esta es la condenación: porque la luz vino al mundo, y los hombres amaron más las tinieblas que la luz; porque sus obras eran malas.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil.

Denn wer Arges tut, haßt das Licht und kommt nicht zum Licht, damit seine Werke nicht gestraft werden.

Porque todo aquel que hace lo malo, aborrece la luz y no viene á la luz, porque sus obras no sean redargüidas.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

For everyone who does evil hates the light and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.

Wer aber die Wahrheit tut, der kommt zum Licht, damit seine Werke offenbar werden, daß sie in Gott getan sind.

Mas el que obra verdad, viene á la luz, para que sus obras sean manifestadas que son hechas en Dios.

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”

Darnach kam Jesus mit seinen Jüngern in das Land Judäa, und daselbst hielt er sich mit ihnen auf und taufte.

Pasado esto, vino Jesús con sus discípulos á la tierra de Judea; y estaba allí con ellos, y bautizaba.

After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judæa; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

After these things, Jesus came with his disciples into the land of Judea. He stayed there with them and baptized.

Aber auch Johannes taufte in Enon, nahe bei Salim, weil viel Wasser dort war. Und sie kamen dahin und ließen sich taufen.

Y bautizaba también Juan en Enón junto á Salim, porque había allí muchas aguas; y venían, y eran bautizados.

And John also was baptizing in Ænon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

John also was baptizing in Enon near Salim, because there was much water there. They came and were baptized;

Denn Johannes war noch nicht ins Gefängnis geworfen worden.

Porque Juan no había sido aún puesto en la carcel.

For John was not yet cast into prison.

for John was not yet thrown into prison.

Es erhob sich nun eine Streitfrage zwischen den Jüngern des Johannes und einem Juden wegen der Reinigung.

Y hubo cuestión entre los discípulos de Juan y los Judíos acerca de la purificación.

Then there arose a question between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying.

Therefore a dispute arose on the part of John’s disciples with some Jews about purification.

Und sie kamen zu Johannes und sprachen zu ihm: Rabbi, der, welcher bei dir war jenseits des Jordan, für den du Zeugnis ablegtest, siehe, der tauft, und jedermann kommt zu ihm!

Y vinieron á Juan, y dijéronle: Rabbí, el que estaba contigo de la otra parte del Jordán, del cual tú diste testimonio, he aquí bautiza, y todos vienen á él.

And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, he baptizes, and everyone is coming to him.”

Johannes antwortete und sprach: Ein Mensch kann nichts empfangen, es sei ihm denn vom Himmel gegeben.

Respondió Juan, y dijo: No puede el hombre recibir algo, si no le fuere dado del cielo.

John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

John answered, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven.

Ihr selbst bezeuget mir, daß ich gesagt habe: Nicht ich bin der Christus, sondern ich bin vor ihm hergesandt.

Vosotros mismos me sois testigos que dije: Yo no soy el Cristo, sino que soy enviado delante de él.

Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.

You yourselves testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before him.’

Wer die Braut hat, der ist der Bräutigam; der Freund des Bräutigams aber, der dasteht und ihn hört, freut sich hoch über des Bräutigams Stimme. Diese meine Freude ist nun erfüllt.

El que tiene la esposa, es el esposo; mas el amigo del esposo, que está en pie y le oye, se goza grandemente de la voz del esposo; así pues, este mi gozo es cumplido.

He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore my joy is made full.

Er muß wachsen, ich aber muß abnehmen.

A él conviene crecer, mas á mí menguar.

He must increase, but I must decrease.

He must increase, but I must decrease.

Der von oben kommt, ist über allen; wer von der Erde ist, der ist von der Erde und redet von der Erde. Der aus dem Himmel kommt, ist über allen.

El que de arriba viene, sobre todos es: el que es de la tierra, terreno es, y cosas terrenas habla: el que viene del cielo, sobre todos es.

He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

“He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

Er bezeugt, was er gesehen und gehört hat, und sein Zeugnis nimmt niemand an.

Y lo que vió y oyó, esto testifica: y nadie recibe su testimonio.

And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness.

Wer aber sein Zeugnis annimmt, der bestätigt, daß Gott wahrhaftig ist.

El que recibe su testimonio, éste signó que Dios es verdadero.

He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

He who has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true.

Denn der, den Gott gesandt hat, redet die Worte Gottes; denn Gott gibt †ihm den Geist nicht nach Maß.

Porque el que Dios envió, las palabras de Dios habla: porque no da Dios el Espíritu por medida.

For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.

Der Vater hat den Sohn lieb und hat alles in seine Hand gegeben.

El Padre ama al Hijo, y todas las cosas dió en su mano.

The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.

Wer an den Sohn glaubt, der hat ewiges Leben; wer aber dem Sohne nicht glaubt, der wird das Leben nicht sehen, sondern der Zorn Gottes bleibt auf ihm.

El que cree en el Hijo, tiene vida eterna; mas el que es incrédulo al Hijo, no verá la vida, sino que la ira de Dios está sobre él.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”
