Quando o Senhor ouviu dizer que os fariseus sabiam que ele estava fazendo mais discípulos e batizava mais pessoas do que João,

DE manera que como Jesús entendió que los Fariseos habían oído que Jesús hacía y bautizaba más discípulos que Juan,

When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,

Therefore when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John

embora Jesus mesmo não as batizasse, e sim os seus discípulos,

(Aunque Jesús no bautizaba, sino sus discípulos),

(Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)

(although Jesus himself didn’t baptize, but his disciples),

deixou a Judeia e voltou novamente para a Galileia.

Dejó á Judea, y fuése otra vez á Galilea.

He left Judæa, and departed again into Galilee.

he left Judea and departed into Galilee.

No caminho, teve de passar por Samaria.

Y era menester que pasase por Samaria.

And he must needs go through Samaria.

He needed to pass through Samaria.

Assim, ele chegou a uma cidade de Samaria chamada Sicar, situada na propriedade que Jacó tinha dado ao seu filho José.

Vino, pues, á una ciudad de Samaria que se llamaba Sichâr, junto á la heredad que Jacob dió á José su hijo.

Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

So he came to a city of Samaria called Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

Havia ali o poço de Jacó. Era mais ou menos meio-dia quando Jesus, cansado da longa caminhada, chegou e sentou-se ao lado do poço.

Y estaba allí la fuente de Jacob. Pues Jesús, cansado del camino, así se sentó á la fuente. Era como la hora de sexta.

Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.

Logo uma mulher samaritana veio tirar água, e Jesus lhe disse: “Dê-me um pouco de água”.

Vino una mujer de Samaria á sacar agua: y Jesús le dice: Dame de beber.

There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.”

(Ele estava sozinho naquela hora, porque os discípulos tinham ido à cidade comprar comida.)

(Porque sus discípulos habían ido á la ciudad á comprar de comer.)

(For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)

For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.

A mulher samaritana ficou surpresa e lhe perguntou: “Como o Senhor, sendo um judeu, pede a mim, uma samaritana, água para beber?” (Ela disse isso porque os judeus não se dão com os samaritanos.)

Y la mujer Samaritana le dice: ¿Cómo tú, siendo Judío, me pides á mí de beber, que soy mujer Samaritana? porque los Judíos no se tratan con los Samaritanos.

Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

The Samaritan woman therefore said to him, “How is it that you, being a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)

Jesus respondeu: “Se ao menos soubesse o presente maravilhoso que Deus tem para você, e quem está lhe pedindo água, você lhe pediria, e ele lhe daria a água da vida!”

Respondió Jesús y díjole: Si conocieses el don de Dios, y quién es el que te dice: Dame de beber: tú pedirías de él, y él te daría agua viva.

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

“Mas o Senhor não tem como tirar água”, disse ela, “e este é um poço muito fundo! De onde tiraria essa água viva?

La mujer le dice: Señor, no tienes con qué sacarla, y el pozo es hondo: ¿de dónde, pues, tienes el agua viva?

The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

The woman said to him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. So where do you get that living water?

Além do mais, o Senhor é mais importante do que o nosso antepassado Jacó? Como pode oferecer uma água melhor do que esta que ele, seus filhos e seu gado, beberam à vontade?”

¿Eres tú mayor que nuestro padre Jacob, que nos dió este pozo, del cual él bebió, y sus hijos, y sus ganados?

Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his children and his livestock?”

Jesus respondeu: “As pessoas voltam logo a ter sede depois de beber esta água,

Respondió Jesús y díjole: Cualquiera que bebiere de esta agua, volverá á tener sed;

Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:

Jesus answered her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again,

mas quem beber da água que eu dou nunca mais terá sede. Porque a água que eu dou se tornará dentro de todos uma fonte a jorrar para a vida eterna”.

Mas el que bebiere del agua que yo le daré, para siempre no tendrá sed: mas el agua que yo le daré, será en él una fuente de agua que salte para vida eterna.

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

“Por favor, Senhor”, disse a mulher, “me dê dessa água! Assim eu nunca mais terei sede, nem terei de fazer esta longa caminhada até aqui para tirar água”.

La mujer le dice: Señor, dame esta agua, para que no tenga sed, ni venga acá á sacarla.

The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I don’t get thirsty, neither come all the way here to draw.”

“Vá buscar seu marido”, disse Jesus.

Jesús le dice: Ve, llama á tu marido, y ven acá.

Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.”

“Mas eu não tenho marido”, respondeu a mulher. “Isso é verdade, que você não tem marido!”, falou Jesus.

Respondió la mujer, y dijo: No tengo marido. Dícele Jesús: Bien has dicho, No tengo marido;

The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:

The woman answered, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You said well, ‘I have no husband,’

“Pois você já teve cinco maridos e o homem com o qual está vivendo agora não é seu marido. Sim, você falou a verdade!”

Porque cinco maridos has tenido: y el que ahora tienes no es tu marido; esto has dicho con verdad.

For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

for you have had five husbands; and he whom you now have is not your husband. This you have said truly.”

“Senhor”, disse a mulher, “percebo que o Senhor é um profeta.

Dícele la mujer: Señor, paréceme que tú eres profeta.

The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

The woman said to him, “Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.

Mas me diga uma coisa: Por que vocês, os judeus, insistem em que Jerusalém é o único lugar de adoração, enquanto nós, os samaritanos, dizemos que é aqui neste monte, onde os nossos antepassados adoraram?”

Nuestros padres adoraron en este monte, y vosotros decís que en Jerusalem es el lugar donde es necesario adorar.

Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where people ought to worship.”

Jesus respondeu: “Creia em mim, mulher: Está chegando a hora quando não nos preocuparemos mais em adorar o Pai nem neste monte, nem em Jerusalém.

Dícele Jesús: Mujer, créeme, que la hora viene, cuando ni en este monte, ni en Jerusalem adoraréis al Padre.

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.

Mas vocês, os samaritanos, sabem muito pouco a respeito dele; nós adoramos o que conhecemos, pois a salvação vem dos judeus.

Vosotros adoráis lo que no sabéis; nosotros adoramos lo que sabemos: porque la salud viene de los Judíos.

Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

You worship that which you don’t know. We worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.

Mas virá o tempo, e de fato já chegou, em que os verdadeiros adoradores adorarão o Pai em espírito e em verdade. Pois são esses adoradores que o Pai procura.

Mas la hora viene, y ahora es, cuando los verdaderos adoradores adorarán al Padre en espíritu y en verdad; porque también el Padre tales adoradores busca que le adoren.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshipers.

Porque Deus é Espírito, e é preciso que seus adoradores o adorem em espírito e em verdade”.

Dios es Espíritu; y los que le adoran, en espíritu y en verdad es necesario que adoren.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

A mulher disse: “Eu sei que o Messias virá, aquele que se chama Cristo, e quando ele vier, explicará tudo para nós”.

Dícele la mujer: Sé que el Mesías ha de venir, el cual se dice el Cristo: cuando él viniere nos declarará todas las cosas.

The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming, he who is called Christ. When he has come, he will declare to us all things.”

Então Jesus lhe disse: “Eu sou o Messias! Eu, que estou falando com você”.

Dícele Jesús: Yo soy, que hablo contigo.

Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

Jesus said to her, “I am he, the one who speaks to you.”

Naquele momento chegaram os seus discípulos. Eles ficaram surpresos de encontrar Jesus falando com uma mulher, mas nenhum deles perguntou a Jesus o motivo de ele estar conversando com ela.

Y en esto vinieron sus discípulos, y maravilláronse de que hablaba con mujer; mas ninguno dijo: ¿Qué preguntas? ó, ¿Qué hablas con ella?

And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?

Just then, his disciples came. They marveled that he was speaking with a woman; yet no one said, “What are you looking for?” or, “Why do you speak with her?”

Nisso a mulher deixou o seu cântaro ao lado do poço, voltou à aldeia e disse a todo mundo:

Entonces la mujer dejó su cántaro, y fué á la ciudad, y dijo á aquellos hombres:

The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

So the woman left her water pot, went away into the city, and said to the people,

“Venham conhecer um homem que me disse tudo quanto eu já fiz na vida! Será que este não pode ser o Cristo?”

Venid, ved un hombre que me ha dicho todo lo que he hecho: ¿si quizás es éste el Cristo?

Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

“Come, see a man who told me everything that I have done. Can this be the Christ?”

Então o povo veio da cidade correndo para ver Jesus.

Entonces salieron de la ciudad, y vinieron á él.

Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

They went out of the city, and were coming to him.

Enquanto isso, os discípulos insistiam com ele: “Mestre, coma alguma coisa”.

Entre tanto los discípulos le rogaban, diciendo: Rabbí, come.

In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.

In the meanwhile, the disciples urged him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”

Mas ele respondeu: “Eu tenho uma comida que vocês não conhecem”.

Y él les dijo: Yo tengo una comida que comer, que vosotros no sabéis.

But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.

But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you don’t know about.”

“Quem terá trazido essa comida?”, perguntavam os discípulos uns aos outros.

Entonces los discípulos decían el uno al otro: ¿Si le habrá traído alguien de comer?

Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?

The disciples therefore said to one another, “Has anyone brought him something to eat?”

Foi quando Jesus explicou: “A minha comida é fazer a vontade daquele que me enviou, e terminar a sua obra.

Díceles Jesús: Mi comida es que haga la voluntad del que me envió, y que acabe su obra.

Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.

Vocês costumam dizer: ‘O trabalho da colheita só começará quando terminar o verão, daqui a quatro meses’. Eu lhes digo: Olhem em volta de vocês e vejam os campos. Eles já estão maduros para a colheita.

¿No decís vosotros: Aun hay cuatro meses hasta que llegue la siega? He aquí os digo: Alzad vuestros ojos, y mirad las regiones, porque ya están blancas para la siega.

Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

Don’t you say, ‘There are yet four months until the harvest’? Behold, I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, that they are white for harvest already.

Os ceifeiros já recebem seus salários, e eles estão colhendo fruto para a vida eterna! Que alegrias estão reservadas tanto para o semeador como para o ceifeiro juntos!

Y el que siega, recibe salario, y allega fruto para vida eterna; para que el que siembra también goce, y el que siega.

And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

He who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit to eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.

Pois é verdadeiro o ditado: ‘Um semeia e outro faz a colheita’.

Porque en esto es el dicho verdadero: Que uno es el que siembra, y otro es el que siega.

And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.

For in this the saying is true, ‘One sows, and another reaps.’

Eu enviei vocês para colher onde não plantaram; outros fizeram o serviço duro e vocês aproveitaram o trabalho deles”.

Yo os he enviado á segar lo que vosotros no labrasteis: otros labraron, y vosotros habéis entrado en sus labores.

I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.

I sent you to reap that for which you haven’t labored. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.”

E muitos samaritanos daquela cidade creram nele por causa da declaração da mulher: “Ele me disse tudo quanto eu já fiz na vida!”

Y muchos de los Samaritanos de aquella ciudad creyeron en él por la palabra de la mujer, que daba testimonio, diciendo: Que me dijo todo lo que he hecho.

And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

From that city many of the Samaritans believed in him because of the word of the woman, who testified, “He told me everything that I have done.”

Quando saíram para ver Jesus junto ao poço, os samaritanos rogaram-lhe que ficasse com eles, e ele ficou dois dias.

Viniendo pues los Samaritanos á él, rogáronle que se quedase allí: y se quedó allí dos días.

So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.

So when the Samaritans came to him, they begged him to stay with them. He stayed there two days.

Muitos outros crerem nele, ao ouvir a sua palavra.

Y creyeron muchos más por la palabra de él.

And many more believed because of his own word;

Many more believed because of his word.

Então disseram à mulher: “Agora nós cremos porque ouvimos Jesus por nós mesmos, e não somente por causa do que você nos contou. Ele é na verdade o Salvador do mundo”.

Y decían á la mujer: Ya no creemos por tu dicho; porque nosotros mismos hemos oído, y sabemos que verdaderamente éste es el Salvador del mundo, el Cristo.

And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

They said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of your speaking; for we have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.”

Depois de dois dias, ele partiu para a Galileia,

Y dos días después, salió de allí, y fuése á Galilea.

Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee.

After the two days he went out from there and went into Galilee.

(pois como Jesus costumava dizer: “Um profeta é honrado em toda parte, menos em sua própria terra”).

Porque el mismo Jesús dió testimonio de que el profeta en su tierra no tiene honra.

For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.

For Jesus himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.

Quando chegou à Galileia, os galileus receberam Jesus de braços abertos, porque tinham estado em Jerusalém durante a comemoração da Páscoa e viram tudo o que ele fizera.

Y como vino á Galilea, los Galileos le recibieron, vistas todas las cosas que había hecho en Jerusalem en el día de la fiesta: porque también ellos habían ido á la fiesta.

Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilæans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.

So when he came into Galilee, the Galileans received him, having seen all the things that he did in Jerusalem at the feast, for they also went to the feast.

Em sua viagem pela Galileia, Jesus chegou à cidade de Caná, onde havia transformado água em vinho. E havia ali um homem da cidade de Cafarnaum, oficial do governo, cujo filho estava muito doente.

Vino pues Jesús otra vez á Caná de Galilea, donde había hecho el vino del agua. Y había en Capernaum uno del rey, cuyo hijo estaba enfermo.

So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.

Jesus came therefore again to Cana of Galilee, where he made the water into wine. There was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum.

Quando ele soube que Jesus tinha chegado da Judeia e viajava pela Galileia, este homem foi procurar Jesus e pediu a ele que viesse a Cafarnaum para curar o seu filho, que a essa altura se achava às portas da morte.

Este, como oyó que Jesús venía de Judea á Galilea, fué á él, y rogábale que descendiese, y sanase á su hijo, porque se comenzaba á morir.

When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judæa into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to him and begged him that he would come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.

Jesus disse: “Nenhum de vocês vai crer em mim, se eu não fizer sinais e maravilhas”.

Entonces Jesús le dijo: Si no viereis señales y milagros no creeréis.

Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

Jesus therefore said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will in no way believe.”

O oficial do rei implorava: “Senhor, por favor, venha já, antes que meu filho morra”.

El del rey le dijo: Señor, desciende antes que mi hijo muera.

The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.

The nobleman said to him, “Sir, come down before my child dies.”

Então Jesus lhe disse: “Volte para casa. O seu filho está curado!” O homem creu em Jesus e foi para casa.

Dícele Jesús: Ve, tu hijo vive. Y el hombre creyó á la palabra que Jesús le dijo, y se fué.

Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.

Jesus said to him, “Go your way. Your son lives.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.

Enquanto ele estava a caminho, alguns dos seus servos vieram ao seu encontro com a notícia de que tudo ia bem — o filho dele estava vivo!

Y cuando ya él descendía, los siervos le salieron á recibir, y le dieron nuevas, diciendo: Tu hijo vive.

And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.

As he was going down, his servants met him and reported, saying “Your child lives!”

Ele perguntou quando o rapaz havia começado a sentir-se melhor, e eles responderam: “Ontem à tarde, em torno da uma hora, a febre o deixou!”

Entonces él les preguntó á qué hora comenzó á estar mejor. Y dijéronle: Ayer á las siete le dejó la fiebre.

Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.

So he inquired of them the hour when he began to get better. They said therefore to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour, the fever left him.”

Então o pai percebeu que aquele era o momento exato em que Jesus havia dito: “O seu filho está curado”. E o oficial, juntamente com toda a sua família, creu em Jesus.

El padre entonces entendió, que aquella hora era cuando Jesús le dijo: Tu hijo vive; y creyó él y toda su casa.

So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.

So the father knew that it was at that hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” He believed, as did his whole house.

Este foi o segundo sinal miraculoso de Jesus na Galileia, depois de chegar à Judeia.

Esta segunda señal volvió Jesús á hacer, cuando vino de Judea á Galilea.

This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judæa into Galilee.

This is again the second sign that Jesus did, having come out of Judea into Galilee.
