O homem enfermo respondeu: "Senhor, eu não tenho ninguém para me colocar no tanque, quando a água é agitada. Enquanto estou indo, outro passa à minha frente".

Señor, le respondió el enfermo, no tengo hombre que me meta en el estanque cuando el agua fuere revuelta; porque entre tanto que yo vengo, otro antes de mí ha descendido.

The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

The sick man answered him, “Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, but while I’m coming, another steps down before me.”
