Et après ces choses, Jésus parcourait la Galilée ; car il ne voulait pas séjourner dans la Judée, parce que les Juifs cherchaient à le faire mourir.

Y PASADAS estas cosas andaba Jesús en Galilea: que no quería andar en Judea, porque los Judíos procuraban matarle.

After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.

After these things, Jesus was walking in Galilee, for he wouldn’t walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him.

Mais la fête des Juifs, la fête des Tabernacles, était proche.

Y estaba cerca la fiesta de los Judíos, la de los tabernáculos.

Now the Jews’ feast of tabernacles was at hand.

Now the feast of the Jews, the Feast of Booths, was at hand.

Ses frères lui dirent donc : Pars d'ici, et va en Judée, afin que tes disciples voient aussi les œuvres que tu fais.

Y dijéronle sus hermanos: Pásate de aquí, y vete á Judea, para que también tus discípulos vean las obras que haces.

His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judæa, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.

His brothers therefore said to him, “Depart from here and go into Judea, that your disciples also may see your works which you do.

Car nul homme ne fait rien en secret, quand il cherche à être lui-même en évidence. Si tu fais ces choses, manifeste-toi toi-même au monde.

Que ninguno que procura ser claro, hace algo en oculto. Si estas cosas haces, manifiéstate al mundo.

For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.

For no one does anything in secret while he seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, reveal yourself to the world.”

Car ses frères mêmes ne croyaient pas en lui.

Porque ni aun sus hermanos creían en él.

For neither did his brethren believe in him.

For even his brothers didn’t believe in him.

Jésus leur dit donc : Mon temps n'est pas encore venu ; mais votre temps est toujours prêt.

Díceles entonces Jesús: Mi tiempo aun no ha venido; mas vuestro tiempo siempre está presto.

Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.

Jesus therefore said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.

Le monde ne peut vous haïr ; mais moi, il me hait, parce que je rends de lui ce témoignage que ses œuvres sont mauvaises.

No puede el mundo aborreceros á vosotros; mas á mí me aborrece, porque yo doy testimonio de él, que sus obras son malas.

The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

The world can’t hate you, but it hates me, because I testify about it, that its works are evil.

Vous, montez à la fête ; moi, je ne monte pas à cette fête, parce que mon temps n'est pas encore accompli.

Vosotros subid á esta fiesta; yo no subo aún á esta fiesta, porque mi tiempo aun no es cumplido.

Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.

You go up to the feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, because my time is not yet fulfilled.”

Leur ayant dit cela, il demeura en Galilée.

Y habiéndoles dicho esto, quedóse en Galilea.

When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.

Having said these things to them, he stayed in Galilee.

Mais quand ses frères furent montés à la fête, alors il monta, lui aussi, non pas publiquement, mais comme en secret.

Mas como sus hermanos hubieron subido, entonces él también subió á la fiesta, no manifiestamente, sino como en secreto.

But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.

But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.

Les Juifs donc le cherchaient à la fête et disaient : Où est-il ?

Y buscábanle los Judíos en la fiesta, y decían: ¿Dónde está aquél?

Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?

The Jews therefore sought him at the feast, and said, “Where is he?”

Et il y avait une grande rumeur à son sujet dans la foule. Les uns disaient : C'est un homme de bien. D'autres disaient : Non, mais il égare le peuple.

Y había grande murmullo de él entre la gente: porque unos decían: Bueno es; y otros decían: No, antes engaña á las gentes.

And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people.

There was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning him. Some said, “He is a good man.” Others said, “Not so, but he leads the multitude astray.”

Toutefois personne ne parlait de lui librement, par crainte des Juifs.

Mas ninguno hablaba abiertamente de él, por miedo de los Judíos.

Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews.

Yet no one spoke openly of him for fear of the Jews.

Or, comme on était déjà au milieu de la fête, Jésus monta au temple, et il enseignait.

Y al medio de la fiesta subió Jesús al templo, y enseñaba.

Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.

But when it was now the middle of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.

Et les Juifs s'étonnaient, disant : comment celui-ci connaît-il les Ecritures, n'ayant point étudié ?

Y maravillábanse los Judíos, diciendo: ¿Cómo sabe éste letras, no habiendo aprendido?

And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?

The Jews therefore marveled, saying, “How does this man know letters, having never been educated?”

Jésus leur répondit : Mon enseignement n'est pas de moi, mais de Celui qui m'a envoyé.

Respondióles Jesús, y dijo: Mi doctrina no es mía, sino de aquél que me envió.

Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

Jesus therefore answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.

Si quelqu'un veut faire sa volonté, il reconnaîtra si mon enseignement est de Dieu, ou si je parle de mon chef.

El que quisiere hacer su voluntad, conocerá de la doctrina si viene de Dios, ó si yo hablo de mí mismo.

If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

If anyone desires to do his will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is from God or if I am speaking from myself.

Celui qui parle de son chef, cherche sa propre gloire ; mais celui qui cherche la gloire de Celui qui l'a envoyé, celui-là est vrai, et il n'y a point d'injustice en lui.

El que habla de sí mismo, su propia gloria busca; mas el que busca la gloria del que le envió, éste es verdadero, y no hay en él injusticia.

He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

Moïse ne vous a-t-il pas donné la loi ? et nul de vous n'observe la loi. Pourquoi cherchez-vous à me faire mourir ?

¿No os dió Moisés la ley, y ninguno de vosotros hace la ley? ¿Por qué me procuráis matar?

Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?

Didn’t Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill me?”

La foule répondit : Tu as un démon ! Qui est-ce qui cherche à te faire mourir ?

Respondió la gente, y dijo: Demonio tienes: ¿quién te procura matar?

The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?

The multitude answered, “You have a demon! Who seeks to kill you?”

Jésus répondit et leur dit : J'ai fait une œuvre, et vous êtes tous étonnés.

Jesús respondió, y díjoles: Una obra hice, y todos os maravilláis.

Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel.

Jesus answered them, “I did one work and you all marvel because of it.

C'est pour cela que Moïse vous a donné la circoncision (non pas qu'elle vienne de Moïse, mais elle vient des pères), et que le jour du sabbat vous circoncisez un homme.

Cierto, Moisés os dió la circuncisión (no porque sea de Moisés, mas de los padres); y en sábado circuncidáis al hombre.

Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.

Moses has given you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a boy.

Si un homme reçoit la circoncision le jour du sabbat, afin que la loi de Moïse ne soit pas violée, pourquoi vous irritez-vous contre moi de ce que j'ai guéri un homme tout entier le jour du sabbat ?

Si recibe el hombre la circuncisión en sábado, para que la ley de Moisés no sea quebrantada, ¿os enojáis conmigo porque en sábado hice sano todo un hombre?

If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?

If a boy receives circumcision on the Sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because I made a man completely healthy on the Sabbath?

Ne jugez point selon l'apparence, mais jugez selon la justice.

No juzguéis según lo que parece, mas juzgad justo juicio.

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Don’t judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”

Quelques-uns des habitants de Jérusalem disaient donc : N'est-ce pas là celui qu'ils cherchent à faire mourir ?

Decían entonces unos de los de Jerusalem: ¿No es éste al que buscan para matarlo?

Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?

Therefore some of them of Jerusalem said, “Isn’t this he whom they seek to kill?

Et voici, il parle librement, et ils ne lui disent rien. Les chefs auraient-ils vraiment reconnu qu'il est le Christ ?

Y he aquí, habla públicamente, y no le dicen nada; ¿si habrán entendido verdaderamente los príncipes, que éste es el Cristo?

But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?

Behold, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is truly the Christ?

Mais celui-ci, nous savons d'où il est : tandis que le Christ, quand il viendra, personne ne saura d'où il est.

Mas éste, sabemos de dónde es: y cuando viniere el Cristo, nadie sabrá de dónde sea.

Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.

However, we know where this man comes from, but when the Christ comes, no one will know where he comes from.”

Jésus s'écria donc, enseignant dans le temple et disant : Vous me connaissez, et vous savez d'où je suis ! Et pourtant ce n'est pas de moi-même que je suis venu ; mais il est véritable, Celui qui m'a envoyé, et que vous ne connaissez pas.

Entonces clamaba Jesús en el templo, enseñando y diciendo: Y á mí me conocéis, y sabéis de dónde soy; y no he venido de mí mismo; mas el que me envió es verdadero, al cual vosotros no conocéis.

Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.

Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, “You both know me, and know where I am from. I have not come of myself, but he who sent me is true, whom you don’t know.

Moi je le connais, car je viens de sa part, et c'est lui qui m'a envoyé.

Yo le conozco, porque de él soy, y él me envió.

But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.

I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me.”

Ils cherchaient donc à se saisir de lui ; et pourtant personne ne mit la main sur lui, parce que son heure n'était pas encore venue.

Entonces procuraban prenderle; mas ninguno puso en él mano, porque aun no había venido su hora.

Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.

They sought therefore to take him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.

Mais de la foule, plusieurs crurent en lui, et ils disaient : Le Christ, quand il viendra, fera-t-il plus de miracles que n'en a fait celui-ci ?

Y muchos del pueblo creyeron en él, y decían: El Cristo, cuando viniere, ¿hará más señales que las que éste hace?

And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?

But of the multitude, many believed in him. They said, “When the Christ comes, he won’t do more signs than those which this man has done, will he?”

Les pharisiens entendirent la foule qui murmurait ces paroles à son sujet, et les principaux sacrificateurs et les pharisiens envoyèrent des huissiers pour le saisir.

Los Fariseos oyeron á la gente que murmuraba de él estas cosas; y los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los Fariseos enviaron servidores que le prendiesen.

The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him.

The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him, and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to arrest him.

Jésus dit donc : Je suis encore avec vous pour un peu de temps, et je m'en vais à Celui qui m'a envoyé.

Y Jesús dijo: Aun un poco de tiempo estaré con vosotros, é iré al que me envió.

Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me.

Then Jesus said, “I will be with you a little while longer, then I go to him who sent me.

Vous me chercherez, et vous ne me trouverez point ; et là où je serai, vous n'y pouvez venir.

Me buscaréis, y no me hallaréis; y donde yo estaré, vosotros no podréis venir.

Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come.

You will seek me and won’t find me. You can’t come where I am.”

Les Juifs donc dirent entre eux : Où va-t-il aller, que nous ne le trouverons point ? Doit-il aller vers ceux qui sont dispersés parmi les Grecs, et enseigner les Grecs ?

Entonces los Judíos dijeron entre sí: ¿A dónde se ha de ir éste que no le hallemos? ¿Se ha de ir á los esparcidos entre los Griegos, y á enseñar á los Griegos?

Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?

The Jews therefore said among themselves, “Where will this man go that we won’t find him? Will he go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks?

Que signifie cette parole qu'il a dite : Vous me chercherez, et ne me trouverez point, et là où je serai vous n'y pouvez venir ?

¿Qué dicho es éste que dijo: Me buscaréis, y no me hallaréis; y donde yo estaré, vosotros no podréis venir?

What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come?

What is this word that he said, ‘You will seek me, and won’t find me;’ and ‘Where I am, you can’t come’?”

Or, le dernier, le grand jour de la fête, Jésus se tenait debout, et il s'écria disant : Si quelqu'un a soif, qu'il vienne à moi et qu'il boive.

Mas en el postrer día grande de la fiesta, Jesús se ponía en pie y clamaba, diciendo: Si alguno tiene sed, venga á mí y beba.

In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!

Celui qui croit en moi, des fleuves d'eau vive couleront de son sein, comme dit l'Ecriture.

El que cree en mí, como dice la Escritura, ríos de agua viva correrán de su vientre.

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.”

Or il dit cela de l'Esprit que devaient recevoir ceux qui croiraient en lui ; car l'Esprit n'était pas encore, parce que Jésus n'avait pas encore été glorifié.

(Y esto dijo del Espíritu que habían de recibir los que creyesen en él: pues aun no había venido el Espíritu Santo; porque Jesús no estaba aún glorificado.)

(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus wasn’t yet glorified.

Des gens donc de la foule, ayant entendu ces paroles, disaient : Celui-ci est véritablement le prophète.

Entonces algunos de la multitud, oyendo este dicho, decían: Verdaderamente éste es el profeta.

Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet.

Many of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, “This is truly the prophet.”

D'autres disaient : Celui-ci est le Christ. Mais d'autres disaient : Le Christ viendra-t-il donc de la Galilée ?

Otros decían: Este es el Cristo. Algunos empero decían: ¿De Galilea ha de venir el Cristo?

Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?

Others said, “This is the Christ.” But some said, “What, does the Christ come out of Galilee?

L'Ecriture n'a-t-elle pas déclaré que c'est de la postérité de David et du bourg de Bethléem, où était David, que le Christ viendra ?

¿No dice la Escritura, que de la simiente de David, y de la aldea de Bethlehem, de donde era David, vendrá el Cristo?

Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?

Hasn’t the Scripture said that the Christ comes of the offspring of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?”

Il y eut donc, à cause de lui, division parmi la foule.

Así que había disensión entre la gente acerca de él.

So there was a division among the people because of him.

So a division arose in the multitude because of him.

Or quelques-uns d'entre eux voulaient le saisir ; mais personne ne mit la main sur lui.

Y algunos de ellos querían prenderle; mas ninguno echó sobre él manos.

And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.

Some of them would have arrested him, but no one laid hands on him.

Les huissiers retournèrent donc vers les principaux sacrificateurs et les pharisiens. Et ceux-ci leur dirent : Pourquoi ne l'avez-vous pas amené ?

Y los ministriles vinieron á los principales sacerdotes y á los Fariseos; y ellos les dijeron: ¿Por qué no le trajisteis?

Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him?

The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said to them, “Why didn’t you bring him?”

Les huissiers répondirent : Jamais homme ne parla comme cet homme.

Los ministriles respondieron: Nunca ha hablado hombre así como este hombre.

The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.

The officers answered, “No man ever spoke like this man!”

Les pharisiens donc leur répondirent : Est-ce que vous aussi vous vous êtes laissé séduire ?

Entonces los Fariseos les respondieron: ¿Estáis también vosotros engañados?

Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived?

The Pharisees therefore answered them, “You aren’t also led astray, are you?

Y a-t-il quelqu'un des chefs ou des pharisiens qui ait cru en lui ?

¿Ha creído en él alguno de los príncipes, ó de los Fariseos?

Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him?

Have any of the rulers or any of the Pharisees believed in him?

Mais cette foule, qui n'entend point la loi, ce sont des maudits !

Mas estos comunales que no saben la ley, malditos son.

But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed.

But this multitude that doesn’t know the law is cursed.”

Nicodème, celui qui était venu de nuit vers Jésus, et qui était l'un d'entre eux, leur dit :

Díceles Nicodemo (el que vino á él de noche, el cual era uno de ellos):

Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them,)

Nicodemus (he who came to him by night, being one of them) said to them,

Notre loi condamne-t-elle un homme sans qu'on l'ait entendu auparavant, et qu'on ait pris connaissance de ce qu'il a fait ?

¿Juzga nuestra ley á hombre, si primero no oyere de él, y entendiere lo que ha hecho?

Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth?

“Does our law judge a man unless it first hears from him personally and knows what he does?”

Ils répondirent et lui dirent : Es-tu aussi de la Galilée ? Informe-toi, et tu verras que de la Galilée ne s'élève point de prophète.

Respondieron y dijéronle: ¿Eres tú también Galileo? Escudriña y ve que de Galilea nunca se levantó profeta.

They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.

They answered him, “Are you also from Galilee? Search and see that no prophet has arisen out of Galilee.”

Et ils allèrent chacun dans sa maison.

Y fuése cada uno á su casa.

And every man went unto his own house.

Everyone went to his own house,
