44Vocês são do pai de vocês, o diabo, e querem realizar os desejos do pai de vocês. Ele foi homicida desde o princípio, e não se firmou na verdade, porque não há verdade nele. Quando ele profere uma mentira, fala do que lhe é próprio; pois é mentiroso e o pai da mentira.
