Jesus aber ging an den Olberg.

Y JESÚS se fué al monte de las Olivas.

Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.

but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

Und fruhmorgens kam erwieder in den Tempel, und alles Volk kam zu ihm. Und er setzte sich und lehrete sie.

Y por la mañana volvió al templo, y todo el pueblo vino á él: y sentado él, los enseñaba.

And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.

Now very early in the morning, he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him. He sat down and taught them.

Aber die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisaer brachten ein Weib zu ihm, im Ehebruch begriffen, und stelleten sie in die Mitte

Entonces los escribas y los Fariseos le traen una mujer tomada en adulterio; y poniéndola en medio,

And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery. Having set her in the middle,

und sprachen zu ihm: Meister, dies Weib ist begriffen auf frischer Tat im Ehebruch.

Dícenle: Maestro, esta mujer ha sido tomada en el mismo hecho, adulterando;

They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

they told him, “Teacher, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act.

Mose aber hat uns im Gesetz geboten, solche zu steinigen; was sagst du?

Y en la ley Moisés nos mandó apedrear á las tales: tú pues, ¿qué dices?

Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

Now in our law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. What then do you say about her?”

Das sprachen sie aber, ihn zu versuchen, auf dall sie eine Sache wider ihn flatten. Aber Jesus buckete sich nieder und schrieb mit dem Finger auf die Erde.

Mas esto decían tentándole, para poder acusarle. Empero Jesús, inclinado hacia abajo, escribía en tierra con el dedo.

This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with his finger.

Als sie nun anhielten, ihn zu fragen, richtete er sich auf und sprach zu ihnen: Wer unter euch ohne Sünde ist, derwerfe den ersten Stein auf sie.

Y como perseverasen preguntándole, enderezóse, y díjoles: El que de vosotros esté sin pecado, arroje contra ella la piedra el primero.

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her.”

Und buckete sich wieder nieder und schrieb auf die Erde.

Y volviéndose á inclinar hacia abajo, escribía en tierra.

And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground with his finger.

Da sie aber das horeten, gingen sie hinaus, von ihrem Gewissen uberzeugt, einer nach dem andern, von den Altesten an bis zu den Geringsten. Und Jesus ward gelassen allein und das Weib in der Mitte stehend.

Oyendo, pues, ellos, redargüidos de la conciencia, salíanse uno á uno, comenzando desde los más viejos hasta los postreros: y quedó solo Jesús, y la mujer que estaba en medio.

And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last. Jesus was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.

Jesus aber richtete sich auf; und da er niemand sah denn das Weib, sprach er zu ihr: Weib, wo sind sie, deine Verklager? Hat dich niemand verdammt?

Y enderezándose Jesús, y no viendo á nadie más que á la mujer, díjole: ¿Mujer, dónde están los que te acusaban? ¿Ninguno te ha condenado?

When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

Jesus, standing up, saw her and said, “Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?”

Sie aber sprach: Herr, niemand. Jesus aber sprach: So verdamme ich dich auch nicht; gehe hin und sundige hinfort nicht mehr!

Y ella dijo: Señor, ninguno. Entonces Jesús le dijo: Ni yo te condeno: vete, y no peques más.

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

She said, “No one, Lord.” Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more.”

Da redete Jesus abermal zu ihnen und sprach: Ich bin das Licht der Welt; wer mir nachfolget, der wird nicht wandeln in Finsternis, sondern wird das Licht des Lebens haben.

Y hablóles Jesús otra vez, diciendo: Yo soy la luz del mundo: el que me sigue, no andará en tinieblas, mas tendrá la lumbre de la vida.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Da sprachen die Pharisaer zu ihm: Du zeugest von dir selbst; dein Zeugnis ist nicht wahr.

Entonces los Fariseos le dijeron: Tú de ti mismo das testimonio: tu testimonio no es verdadero.

The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.

The Pharisees therefore said to him, “You testify about yourself. Your testimony is not valid.”

Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: So ich von mir selbst zeugen wurde, so ist mein Zeugnis wahr; denn ich weili, von wannen ich kommen bin und wo ich hingehe; ihr aber wisset nicht, von wannen ich komme und wo ich hingehe.

Respondió Jesús, y díjoles: Aunque yo doy testimonio de mí mismo, mi testimonio es verdadero, porque sé de dónde he venido y á dónde voy; mas vosotros no sabéis de dónde vengo, y á dónde voy.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.

Jesus answered them, “Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from, and where I am going; but you don’t know where I came from, or where I am going.

Ihr richtet nach dem Fleisch; ich richte niemand.

Vosotros según la carne juzgáis; mas yo no juzgo á nadie.

Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

So ich aber richte, so ist mein Gericht recht; denn ich bin nicht allein, sondern ich und der Vater, der mich gesandt hat.

Y si yo juzgo, mi juicio es verdadero; porque no soy solo, sino yo y el que me envió, el Padre.

And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

Even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me.

Auch stehet in eurem Gesetze geschrieben, daß zweier Menschen Zeugnis wahr sei.

Y en vuestra ley está escrito que el testimonio de dos hombres es verdadero.

It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

It’s also written in your law that the testimony of two people is valid.

Ich bin's, der ich von mir selbst zeuge; und der Vater, der mich gesandt hat, zeuget auch von mir.

Yo soy el que doy testimonio de mí mismo: y da testimonio de mí el que me envió, el Padre.

I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

I am one who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me.”

Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Wo ist dein Vater? Jesus antwortete: Ihr kennet weder mich noch meinen Vater; wenn ihr mich kennetet, so kennetet ihr auch meinen Vater.

Y decíanle: ¿Dónde está tu Padre? Respondió Jesús: Ni á mí me conocéis, ni á mi Padre; si á mí me conocieseis, á mi Padre también conocierais.

Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

They said therefore to him, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”

Diese Worte redete Jesus an dem Gotteskasten, da er lehrete im Tempel; und niemand griff ihn; denn seine Stunde war noch nicht kommen.

Estas palabras habló Jesús en el lugar de las limosnas, enseñando en el templo: y nadie le prendió; porque aun no había venido su hora.

These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.

Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, as he taught in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.

Da sprach Jesus abermal zu ihnen: Ich gehe hinweg, und ihrwerdet mich suchen und in eurer Sünde sterben; wo ich hingehe, da konnet ihr nicht hinkommen.

Y díjoles otra vez Jesús: Yo me voy, y me buscaréis, mas en vuestro pecado moriréis: á donde yo voy, vosotros no podéis venir.

Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.

Jesus said therefore again to them, “I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sins. Where I go, you can’t come.”

Da sprachen die Juden: Will er sich denn selbst toten, daß er spricht: Wo ich hingehe, da konnet ihr nicht hinkommen?

Decían entonces los Judíos: ¿Hase de matar á sí mismo, que dice: A donde yo voy, vosotros no podéis venir?

Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.

The Jews therefore said, “Will he kill himself, because he says, ‘Where I am going, you can’t come’?”

Und er sprach zu ihnen: Ihr seid von unten her, ich bin von oben herab; ihr seid von dieser Welt, ich bin nicht von dieser Welt.

Y decíales: Vosotros sois de abajo, yo soy de arriba; vosotros sois de este mundo, yo no soy de este mundo.

And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

He said to them, “You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.

So hab' ich euch gesagt, daß ihr sterben werdet in euren Sunden; denn so ihr nicht glaubet, daß ich es sei, so werdet ihr sterben in euren Sunden.

Por eso os dije que moriréis en vuestros pecados; porque si no creyereis que yo soy, en vuestros pecados moriréis.

I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins.”

Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Wer bist du denn? Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Erstlich der, der ich mit euch rede.

Y decíanle: ¿Tú quién eres? Entonces Jesús les dijo: El que al principio también os he dicho.

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.

They said therefore to him, “Who are you?” Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.

Ich habe viel von euch zu reden und zu richten; aber der mich gesandt hat, ist wahrhaftig, und was ich von ihm gehoret habe, das rede ich vor der Welt.

Muchas cosas tengo que decir y juzgar de vosotros: mas el que me envió, es verdadero: y yo, lo que he oído de él, esto hablo en el mundo.

I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.

I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you. However, he who sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these I say to the world.”

Sie vernahmen aber nicht, daß er ihnen von dem Vater sagete.

Mas no entendieron que él les hablaba del Padre.

They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.

They didn’t understand that he spoke to them about the Father.

Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: Wenn ihr des Menschen Sohn erhohen werdet, dann werdet ihr erkennen, daß ich es sei und nichts von nur selber tue, sondern wie mich mein Vater gelehret hat, so rede ich.

Díjoles pues, Jesús: Cuando levantareis al Hijo del hombre, entonces entenderéis que yo soy, y que nada hago de mí mismo; mas como el Padre me enseñó, esto hablo.

Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

Jesus therefore said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing of myself, but as my Father taught me, I say these things.

Und der mich gesandt hat, ist mit mir. Der Vater lal?t mich nicht allein; denn ich tue allezeit, was ihm gefallt.

Porque el que me envió, conmigo está; no me ha dejado solo el Padre; porque yo, lo que á él agrada, hago siempre.

And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

He who sent me is with me. The Father hasn’t left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”

Da er solches redete, glaubten viele an ihn.

Hablando él estas cosas, muchos creyeron en él.

As he spake these words, many believed on him.

As he spoke these things, many believed in him.

Da sprach nun Jesus zu den Juden, die an ihn glaubten: So ihr bleiben werdet an meiner Rede, so seid ihr meine rechten Junger

Y decía Jesús á los Judíos que le habían creído: Si vosotros permaneciereis en mi palabra, seréis verdaderamente mis discípulos;

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.

und werdet die Wahrheit erkennen; und die Wahrheit wird euch freimachen.

Y conoceréis la verdad, y la verdad os libertará.

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

Da antworteten sie ihm: Wir sind Abrahams Samen, sind nie keinmal jemands Knechte gewesen; wie sprichst du denn: Ihr sollt frei werden?

Y respondiéronle: Simiente de Abraham somos, y jamás servimos á nadie: ¿cómo dices tú: Seréis libres?

They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

They answered him, “We are Abraham’s offspring, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How do you say, ‘You will be made free’?”

Jesus antwortete ihnen und sprach: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch, wer Sunde tut der ist der Sünde Knecht.

Jesús les respondió: De cierto, de cierto os digo, que todo aquel que hace pecado, es siervo de pecado.

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.

Der Knecht aber bleibet nicht ewiglich im Hause; der Sohn bleibet ewiglich.

Y el siervo no queda en casa para siempre: el hijo queda para siempre.

And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever.

So euch nun der Sohn freimacht, so seid ihr recht frei.

Así que, si el Hijo os libertare, seréis verdaderamente libres.

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

Ich weili wohl, daß ihr Abrahams Samen seid; aber ihr suchet mich zu toten; denn meine Rede fanget nicht unter euch.

Sé que sois simiente de Abraham, mas procuráis matarme, porque mi palabra no cabe en vosotros.

I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

I know that you are Abraham’s offspring, yet you seek to kill me, because my word finds no place in you.

Ich rede, was ich von meinem Vater gesehen habe; so tut ihr, was ihr von eurem Vater gesehen habt.

Yo hablo lo que he visto cerca del Padre; y vosotros hacéis lo que habéis oído cerca de vuestro padre.

I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

I say the things which I have seen with my Father; and you also do the things which you have seen with your father.”

Sie antworteten und sprachen zu ihm: Abraham ist unser Vater. Spricht Jesus zu ihnen: Wenn ihr Abrahams Kinder waret, so tatet ihr Abrahams Werke.

Respondieron y dijéronle: Nuestro padre es Abraham. Díceles Jesús: Si fuerais hijos de Abraham, las obras de Abraham haríais.

They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

They answered him, “Our father is Abraham.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.

Nun aber suchet ihr mich zu toten, einen solchen Menschen, der ich euch die Wahrheit gesagt habe, die ich von Gott gehoret habe; das hat Abraham nicht getan.

Empero ahora procuráis matarme, hombre que os he hablado la verdad, la cual he oído de Dios: no hizo esto Abraham.

But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham didn’t do this.

Ihr tut eures Vaters Werke. Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Wir sind nicht unehelich geboren; wir haben einen Vater, Gott.

Vosotros hacéis las obras de vuestro padre. Dijéronle entonces: Nosotros no somos nacidos de fornicación; un padre tenemos, que es Dios.

Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

You do the works of your father.” They said to him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, God.”

Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Ware Gott euer Vater, so liebetet ihr mich; denn ich bin ausgegangen und komme von Gott; denn ich bin nicht von mir selber kommen, sondern er hat mich gesandt.

Jesús entonces les dijo: Si vuestro padre fuera Dios, ciertamente me amaríais: porque yo de Dios he salido, y he venido; que no he venido de mí mismo, mas él me envió.

Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

Therefore Jesus said to them, “If God were your father, you would love me, for I came out and have come from God. For I haven’t come of myself, but he sent me.

Warum kennet ihr denn meine Sprache nicht? denn ihr konnt ja mein Wort nicht horen.

¿Por qué no reconocéis mi lenguaje? porque no podéis oir mi palabra.

Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

Why don’t you understand my speech? Because you can’t hear my word.

Ihr seid von dem Vater, dem Teufel, und nach eures Vaters Lust wollt ihr tun. Derselbige ist ein Morder von Anfang und ist nicht bestanden in der Wahrheit; denn die Wahrheit ist nicht in ihm. Wenn er die Lugen redet, so redet er von seinem Eigenen; denn er ist ein Lugner und ein Vater derselbigen.

Vosotros de vuestro padre el diablo sois, y los deseos de vuestro padre queréis cumplir. El, homicida ha sido desde el principio, y no permaneció en la verdad, porque no hay verdad en él. Cuando habla mentira, de suyo habla; porque es mentiroso, y padre de mentira.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and the father of lies.

Ich aber, weil ich die Wahrheit sage, so glaubet ihr mir nicht.

Y porque yo digo verdad, no me creéis.

And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

But because I tell the truth, you don’t believe me.

Welcher unter euch kann mich einer Sünde zeihen? So ich euch aber die Wahrheit sage, warum glaubet ihr mir nicht?

¿Quién de vosotros me redarguye de pecado? Pues si digo verdad, ¿por qué vosotros no me creéis?

Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?

Wer von Gott ist, der horet Gottes Wort. Darum horet ihr nicht; denn ihr seid nicht von Gott.

El que es de Dios, las palabras de Dios oye: por esto no las oís vosotros, porque no sois de Dios.

He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you don’t hear, because you are not of God.”

Da antworteten die Juden und sprachen zu ihm: Sagen wir nicht recht, daß du ein Samariter bist und hast den Teufel.

Respondieron entonces los Judíos, y dijéronle: ¿No decimos bien nosotros, que tú eres Samaritano, y tienes demonio?

Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?

Then the Jews answered him, “Don’t we say well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?”

Jesus antwortete: Ich habe keinen Teufel, sondern ich ehre meinen Vater, und ihr unehret mich.

Respondió Jesús: Yo no tengo demonio, antes honro á mi Padre; y vosotros me habéis deshonrado.

Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.

Jesus answered, “I don’t have a demon, but I honor my Father and you dishonor me.

Ich suche nicht meine Ehre; es ist aber einer, der sie suchet und richtet.

Y no busco mi gloria: hay quien la busque, y juzgue.

And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.

But I don’t seek my own glory. There is one who seeks and judges.

Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: So jemand mein Wort wird halten, der wird den Tod nicht sehen ewiglich.

De cierto, de cierto os digo, que el que guardare mi palabra, no verá muerte para siempre.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

Most certainly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death.”

Da sprachen die Juden zu ihm: Nun erkennen wir, daß du den Teufel hast. Abraham ist gestorben und die Propheten, und du sprichst: So jemand mein Wort halt, der wird den Tod nicht schmecken ewiglich.

Entonces los Judíos le dijeron: Ahora conocemos que tienes demonio. Abraham murió, y los profetas, y tú dices: El que guardare mi palabra, no gustará muerte para siempre.

Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.

Then the Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, as did the prophets; and you say, ‘If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death.’

Bist du mehr denn unser Vater Abraham, welcher gestorben ist? Und die Propheten sind gestorben. Was machst du aus dir selbst?

¿Eres tú mayor que nuestro padre Abraham, el cual murió? y los profetas murieron: ¿quién te haces á ti mismo?

Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?

Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? The prophets died. Who do you make yourself out to be?”

Jesus antwortete: So ich mich selber ehre, so ist meine Ehre nichts. Es ist aber mein Vater, der mich ehret, von welchem ihr sprecht, er sei euer Gott,

Respondió Jesús: Si yo me glorifico á mí mismo, mi gloria es nada: mi Padre es el que me glorifica; el que vosotros decís que es vuestro Dios;

Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is our God.

und kennet ihn nicht. Ich aber kenne ihn. Und so ich wurde sagen, ich kenne ihn nicht, so wurde ich ein Lugner, gleichwie ihr seid. Aber ich kenne ihn und halte sein Wort.

Y no le conocéis: mas yo le conozco; y si dijere que no le conozco, seré como vosotros mentiroso: mas le conozco, y guardo su palabra.

Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

You have not known him, but I know him. If I said, ‘I don’t know him,’ I would be like you, a liar. But I know him and keep his word.
