Mais Jésus s’en alla à la montagne des oliviers.

Y JESÚS se fué al monte de las Olivas.

Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.

Et à la pointe du jour il vint encore au Temple, et tout le peuple vint à lui, et s’étant assis, il les enseignait.

Y por la mañana volvió al templo, y todo el pueblo vino á él: y sentado él, los enseñaba.

And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.

Et les Scribes et les Pharisiens lui amenèrent une femme surprise en adultère ; et l’ayant placée au milieu,

Entonces los escribas y los Fariseos le traen una mujer tomada en adulterio; y poniéndola en medio,

And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

Ils lui dirent : Maître, cette femme a été surprise sur le fait même commettant adultère.

Dícenle: Maestro, esta mujer ha sido tomada en el mismo hecho, adulterando;

They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

they told him, “Teacher, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act.

Or Moïse nous a commandé dans la Loi de lapider celles qui sont dans son cas ; toi donc qu’en dis-tu ?

Y en la ley Moisés nos mandó apedrear á las tales: tú pues, ¿qué dices?

Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

Now in our law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. What then do you say about her?”

Or ils disaient cela pour l’éprouver, afin qu’ils eussent de quoi l’accuser. Mais Jésus s’étant penché en bas écrivait avec son doigt sur la terre.

Mas esto decían tentándole, para poder acusarle. Empero Jesús, inclinado hacia abajo, escribía en tierra con el dedo.

This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with his finger.

Et comme ils continuaient à l’interroger, s’étant relevé, il leur dit : que celui de vous qui est sans péché, jette le premier la pierre contre elle.

Y como perseverasen preguntándole, enderezóse, y díjoles: El que de vosotros esté sin pecado, arroje contra ella la piedra el primero.

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her.”

Et s’étant encore baissé, il écrivait sur la terre.

Y volviéndose á inclinar hacia abajo, escribía en tierra.

And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground with his finger.

Or quand ils eurent entendu cela, étant condamnés par leur conscience, ils sortirent un à un, en commençant depuis les plus anciens jusques aux derniers ; de sorte que Jésus demeura seul avec la femme qui était là au milieu.

Oyendo, pues, ellos, redargüidos de la conciencia, salíanse uno á uno, comenzando desde los más viejos hasta los postreros: y quedó solo Jesús, y la mujer que estaba en medio.

And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last. Jesus was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.

Alors Jésus s’étant relevé, et ne voyant personne que la femme, il lui dit : femme, où sont ceux qui t’accusaient ? nul ne t’a-t-il condamnée ?

Y enderezándose Jesús, y no viendo á nadie más que á la mujer, díjole: ¿Mujer, dónde están los que te acusaban? ¿Ninguno te ha condenado?

When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

Jesus, standing up, saw her and said, “Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?”

Elle dit : nul, Seigneur. Et Jésus lui dit : je ne te condamne pas non plus, va, et ne pèche plus.

Y ella dijo: Señor, ninguno. Entonces Jesús le dijo: Ni yo te condeno: vete, y no peques más.

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

She said, “No one, Lord.” Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more.”

Et Jésus leur parla encore, en disant : je suis la lumière du monde ; celui qui me suit ne marchera point dans les ténèbres, mais il aura la lumière de la vie.

Y hablóles Jesús otra vez, diciendo: Yo soy la luz del mundo: el que me sigue, no andará en tinieblas, mas tendrá la lumbre de la vida.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Alors les Pharisiens lui dirent : tu rends témoignage de toi-même, ton témoignage n’est pas digne de foi.

Entonces los Fariseos le dijeron: Tú de ti mismo das testimonio: tu testimonio no es verdadero.

The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.

The Pharisees therefore said to him, “You testify about yourself. Your testimony is not valid.”

Jésus répondit, et leur dit : quoique je rende témoignage de moi-même, mon témoignage est digne de foi ; car je sais d’où je suis venu, et où je vais ; mais vous ne savez d’où je viens, ni où je vais.

Respondió Jesús, y díjoles: Aunque yo doy testimonio de mí mismo, mi testimonio es verdadero, porque sé de dónde he venido y á dónde voy; mas vosotros no sabéis de dónde vengo, y á dónde voy.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.

Jesus answered them, “Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from, and where I am going; but you don’t know where I came from, or where I am going.

Vous jugez selon la chair, mais moi, je ne juge personne.

Vosotros según la carne juzgáis; mas yo no juzgo á nadie.

Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

Que si même je juge, mon jugement est digne de foi ; car je ne suis point seul, mais il y a et moi et le Père qui m’a envoyé.

Y si yo juzgo, mi juicio es verdadero; porque no soy solo, sino yo y el que me envió, el Padre.

And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

Even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me.

Il est même écrit dans votre Loi, que le témoignage de deux hommes est digne de foi.

Y en vuestra ley está escrito que el testimonio de dos hombres es verdadero.

It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

It’s also written in your law that the testimony of two people is valid.

Je rends témoignage de moi-même, et le Père qui m’a envoyé rend aussi témoignage de moi.

Yo soy el que doy testimonio de mí mismo: y da testimonio de mí el que me envió, el Padre.

I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

I am one who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me.”

Alors ils lui dirent : où est ton Père ? Jésus répondit : vous ne connaissez ni moi, ni mon Père. Si vous me connaissiez, vous connaîtriez aussi mon Père.

Y decíanle: ¿Dónde está tu Padre? Respondió Jesús: Ni á mí me conocéis, ni á mi Padre; si á mí me conocieseis, á mi Padre también conocierais.

Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

They said therefore to him, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”

Jésus dit ces paroles dans la Trésorerie enseignant au Temple ; mais personne ne le saisit, parce que son heure n’était pas encore venue.

Estas palabras habló Jesús en el lugar de las limosnas, enseñando en el templo: y nadie le prendió; porque aun no había venido su hora.

These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.

Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, as he taught in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.

Et Jésus leur dit encore : je m’en vais, et vous me chercherez, mais vous mourrez en votre péché ; là où je vais vous n’y pouvez venir.

Y díjoles otra vez Jesús: Yo me voy, y me buscaréis, mas en vuestro pecado moriréis: á donde yo voy, vosotros no podéis venir.

Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.

Jesus said therefore again to them, “I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sins. Where I go, you can’t come.”

Les Juifs donc disaient : se tuera-t-il lui-même, qu’il dise : là où je vais, vous n’y pouvez venir ?

Decían entonces los Judíos: ¿Hase de matar á sí mismo, que dice: A donde yo voy, vosotros no podéis venir?

Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.

The Jews therefore said, “Will he kill himself, because he says, ‘Where I am going, you can’t come’?”

Alors il leur dit : vous êtes d’en bas, mais moi, je suis d’en haut ; vous êtes de ce monde, mais moi, je ne suis point de ce monde.

Y decíales: Vosotros sois de abajo, yo soy de arriba; vosotros sois de este mundo, yo no soy de este mundo.

And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

He said to them, “You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.

C’est pourquoi je vous ai dit, que vous mourrez en vos péchés ; car si vous ne croyez que je suis l’envoyé de Dieu, vous mourrez en vos péchés.

Por eso os dije que moriréis en vuestros pecados; porque si no creyereis que yo soy, en vuestros pecados moriréis.

I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins.”

Alors ils lui dirent : toi, qui es-tu ? Et Jésus leur dit : ce que je vous dis dès le commencement.

Y decíanle: ¿Tú quién eres? Entonces Jesús les dijo: El que al principio también os he dicho.

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.

They said therefore to him, “Who are you?” Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.

J’ai beaucoup de choses à dire de vous et à condamner en vous, mais celui qui m’a envoyé, est véritable, et les choses que j’ai ouïes de lui, je les dis au monde.

Muchas cosas tengo que decir y juzgar de vosotros: mas el que me envió, es verdadero: y yo, lo que he oído de él, esto hablo en el mundo.

I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.

I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you. However, he who sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these I say to the world.”

Ils ne connurent point qu’il leur parlait du Père.

Mas no entendieron que él les hablaba del Padre.

They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.

They didn’t understand that he spoke to them about the Father.

Jésus donc leur dit : quand vous aurez élevé le Fils de l’homme, vous connaîtrez alors que je suis l’envoyé de Dieu, et que je ne fais rien de moi-même, mais que je dis ces choses ainsi que mon Père m’a enseigné.

Díjoles pues, Jesús: Cuando levantareis al Hijo del hombre, entonces entenderéis que yo soy, y que nada hago de mí mismo; mas como el Padre me enseñó, esto hablo.

Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

Jesus therefore said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing of myself, but as my Father taught me, I say these things.

Car celui qui m’a envoyé est avec moi, le Père ne m’a point laissé seul, parce que je fais toujours les choses qui lui plaisent.

Porque el que me envió, conmigo está; no me ha dejado solo el Padre; porque yo, lo que á él agrada, hago siempre.

And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

He who sent me is with me. The Father hasn’t left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”

Comme il disait ces choses plusieurs crurent en lui.

Hablando él estas cosas, muchos creyeron en él.

As he spake these words, many believed on him.

As he spoke these things, many believed in him.

Et Jésus disait aux Juifs qui avaient cru en lui : si vous persistez en ma parole, vous serez vraiment mes disciples.

Y decía Jesús á los Judíos que le habían creído: Si vosotros permaneciereis en mi palabra, seréis verdaderamente mis discípulos;

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.

Et vous connaîtrez la vérité, et la vérité vous rendra libres.

Y conoceréis la verdad, y la verdad os libertará.

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

Ils lui répondirent : nous sommes la postérité d’Abraham, et jamais nous ne servîmes personne ; comment donc dis-tu : vous serez rendus libres ?

Y respondiéronle: Simiente de Abraham somos, y jamás servimos á nadie: ¿cómo dices tú: Seréis libres?

They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

They answered him, “We are Abraham’s offspring, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How do you say, ‘You will be made free’?”

Jésus leur répondit : en vérité, en vérité je vous dis : quiconque fait le péché, est esclave du péché.

Jesús les respondió: De cierto, de cierto os digo, que todo aquel que hace pecado, es siervo de pecado.

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.

Or l’esclave ne demeure point toujours dans la maison ; le fils y demeure toujours.

Y el siervo no queda en casa para siempre: el hijo queda para siempre.

And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever.

Si donc le Fils vous affranchit, vous serez véritablement libres.

Así que, si el Hijo os libertare, seréis verdaderamente libres.

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

Je sais que vous êtes la postérité d’Abraham, mais pourtant vous tâchez à me faire mourir, parce que ma parole n’est pas reçue dans vos coeurs.

Sé que sois simiente de Abraham, mas procuráis matarme, porque mi palabra no cabe en vosotros.

I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

I know that you are Abraham’s offspring, yet you seek to kill me, because my word finds no place in you.

Je vous dis ce que j’ai vu chez mon Père ; et vous aussi vous faites les choses que vous avez vues chez votre père.

Yo hablo lo que he visto cerca del Padre; y vosotros hacéis lo que habéis oído cerca de vuestro padre.

I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

I say the things which I have seen with my Father; and you also do the things which you have seen with your father.”

Ils répondirent, et lui dirent : notre père c’est Abraham. Jésus leur dit : si vous étiez enfants d’Abraham, vous feriez les oeuvres d’Abraham.

Respondieron y dijéronle: Nuestro padre es Abraham. Díceles Jesús: Si fuerais hijos de Abraham, las obras de Abraham haríais.

They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

They answered him, “Our father is Abraham.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.

Mais maintenant vous tâchez à me faire mourir, moi qui suis un homme qui vous ai dit la vérité, laquelle j’ai ouïe de Dieu ; Abraham n’a point fait cela.

Empero ahora procuráis matarme, hombre que os he hablado la verdad, la cual he oído de Dios: no hizo esto Abraham.

But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham didn’t do this.

Vous faites les actions de votre père. Et ils lui dirent : nous ne sommes pas nés d’un mauvais commerce ; nous avons un père qui est Dieu.

Vosotros hacéis las obras de vuestro padre. Dijéronle entonces: Nosotros no somos nacidos de fornicación; un padre tenemos, que es Dios.

Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

You do the works of your father.” They said to him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, God.”

Mais Jésus leur dit : si Dieu était votre Père, certes vous m’aimeriez : puisque je suis issu de Dieu, et que je viens de lui ; car je ne suis point venu de moi-même, mais c’est lui qui m’a envoyé.

Jesús entonces les dijo: Si vuestro padre fuera Dios, ciertamente me amaríais: porque yo de Dios he salido, y he venido; que no he venido de mí mismo, mas él me envió.

Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

Therefore Jesus said to them, “If God were your father, you would love me, for I came out and have come from God. For I haven’t come of myself, but he sent me.

Pourquoi n’entendez-vous point mon langage ? c’est parce que vous ne pouvez pas écouter ma parole.

¿Por qué no reconocéis mi lenguaje? porque no podéis oir mi palabra.

Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

Why don’t you understand my speech? Because you can’t hear my word.

Le père dont vous êtes issus c’est le démon, et vous voulez faire les désirs de votre père. Il a été meurtrier dès le commencement, et il n’a point persévéré dans la vérité, car la vérité n’est point en lui. Toutes les fois qu’il profère le mensonge, il parle de son propre fonds ; car il est menteur, et le père du mensonge.

Vosotros de vuestro padre el diablo sois, y los deseos de vuestro padre queréis cumplir. El, homicida ha sido desde el principio, y no permaneció en la verdad, porque no hay verdad en él. Cuando habla mentira, de suyo habla; porque es mentiroso, y padre de mentira.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and the father of lies.

Mais pour moi, parce que je dis la vérité, vous ne me croyez point.

Y porque yo digo verdad, no me creéis.

And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

But because I tell the truth, you don’t believe me.

Qui est celui d’entre vous qui me reprendra de péché ? Et si je dis la vérité, pourquoi ne me croyez-vous point ?

¿Quién de vosotros me redarguye de pecado? Pues si digo verdad, ¿por qué vosotros no me creéis?

Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?

Celui qui est de Dieu, entend les paroles de Dieu ; mais vous ne les entendez point, parce que vous n’êtes point de Dieu.

El que es de Dios, las palabras de Dios oye: por esto no las oís vosotros, porque no sois de Dios.

He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you don’t hear, because you are not of God.”

Alors les Juifs répondirent, et lui dirent : ne disons-nous pas bien que tu es un Samaritain, et que tu as un démon.

Respondieron entonces los Judíos, y dijéronle: ¿No decimos bien nosotros, que tú eres Samaritano, y tienes demonio?

Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?

Then the Jews answered him, “Don’t we say well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?”

Jésus répondit : je n’ai point un démon, mais j’honore mon Père, et vous me déshonorez.

Respondió Jesús: Yo no tengo demonio, antes honro á mi Padre; y vosotros me habéis deshonrado.

Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.

Jesus answered, “I don’t have a demon, but I honor my Father and you dishonor me.

Or je ne cherche point ma gloire ; il y en a un qui la cherche, et qui en juge.

Y no busco mi gloria: hay quien la busque, y juzgue.

And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.

But I don’t seek my own glory. There is one who seeks and judges.

En vérité, en vérité je vous dis, que si quelqu’un garde ma parole, il ne mourra point.

De cierto, de cierto os digo, que el que guardare mi palabra, no verá muerte para siempre.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

Most certainly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death.”

Les Juifs donc lui dirent : maintenant nous connaissons que tu as un démon ; Abraham est mort, et les Prophètes aussi, et tu dis : si quelqu’un garde ma parole, il ne mourra point.

Entonces los Judíos le dijeron: Ahora conocemos que tienes demonio. Abraham murió, y los profetas, y tú dices: El que guardare mi palabra, no gustará muerte para siempre.

Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.

Then the Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, as did the prophets; and you say, ‘If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death.’

Es-tu plus grand que notre père Abraham qui est mort ? les Prophètes aussi sont morts, qui te fais-tu toi-même ?

¿Eres tú mayor que nuestro padre Abraham, el cual murió? y los profetas murieron: ¿quién te haces á ti mismo?

Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?

Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? The prophets died. Who do you make yourself out to be?”

Jésus répondit : si je me glorifie moi-même, ma gloire n’est rien ; mon Père est celui qui me glorifie, celui duquel vous dites qu’il est votre Dieu.

Respondió Jesús: Si yo me glorifico á mí mismo, mi gloria es nada: mi Padre es el que me glorifica; el que vosotros decís que es vuestro Dios;

Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is our God.

Toutefois vous ne l’avez point connu, mais moi je le connais ; et si je dis que je ne le connais point, je serai menteur, semblable à vous ; mais je le connais, et je garde sa parole.

Y no le conocéis: mas yo le conozco; y si dijere que no le conozco, seré como vosotros mentiroso: mas le conozco, y guardo su palabra.

Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

You have not known him, but I know him. If I said, ‘I don’t know him,’ I would be like you, a liar. But I know him and keep his word.

Abraham votre père a tressailli de joie de voir cette mienne journée ; et il l’a vue, et s’en est réjoui.

Abraham vuestro padre se gozó por ver mi día; y lo vió, y se gozó.

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day. He saw it and was glad.”

Sur cela les Juifs lui dirent : tu n’as pas encore cinquante ans, et tu as vu Abraham !

Dijéronle entonces los Judíos: Aun no tienes cincuenta años, ¿y has visto á Abraham?

Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?

The Jews therefore said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old! Have you seen Abraham?”

Alors ils levèrent des pierres pour les jeter contre lui, mais Jésus se cacha, et sortit du Temple, ayant passé au travers d’eux ; et ainsi il s’en alla.
