und sprach zu ihm: Gehe hin zu dem Teich Siloah (das ist verdolmetschet: gesandt) und wasche dich. Da ging er hin und wusch sich und kam sehend.

Y PASANDO Jesús, vió un hombre ciego desde su nacimiento.

And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth.

Die Nachbarn, und die ihn zuvor gesehen hatten, daß er ein Bettler war, sprachen: Ist dieser nicht, der da saß und bettelte?

Y preguntáronle sus discípulos, diciendo: Rabbí, ¿quién pecó, éste ó sus padres, para que naciese ciego?

And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

Etliche sprachen: Er ist's; etliche aber: Er ist ihm ähnlich. Er selbst aber sprach: Ich bin's.

Respondió Jesús: Ni éste pecó, ni sus padres: mas para que las obras de Dios se manifiesten en él.

Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Jesus answered, “This man didn’t sin, nor did his parents, but that the works of God might be revealed in him.

Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Wie sind deine Augen aufgetan?

Conviéneme obrar las obras del que me envió, entre tanto que el día dura: la noche viene, cuando nadie puede obrar.

I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work.

Er antwortete und sprach: Der Mensch, der Jesus heißet, machte einen Kot und schmierete meine Augen und sprach: Gehe hin zu dem Teich Siloah und wasche dich. Ich ging hin und wusch mich und ward sehend.

Entre tanto que estuviere en el mundo, luz soy del mundo.

As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Wo ist derselbige? Er sprach: Ich weiß nicht.

Esto dicho, escupió en tierra, é hizo lodo con la saliva, y untó con el lodo sobre los ojos del ciego,

When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,

When he had said this, he spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, anointed the blind man’s eyes with the mud,

Da führeten sie ihn zu den Pharisäern, der weiland blind war.

Y díjole: Ve, lávate en el estanque de Siloé (que significa, si lo interpretares, Enviado). Y fué entonces, y lavóse, y volvió viendo.

And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means “Sent”). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.

(Es war aber Sabbat, da Jesus den Kot machte und seine Augen öffnete.)

Entonces los vecinos, y los que antes le habían visto que era ciego, decían: ¿No es éste el que se sentaba y mendigaba?

The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?

Therefore the neighbors and those who saw that he was blind before said, “Isn’t this he who sat and begged?”

Da fragten sie ihn abermal, auch die Pharisäer, wie er wäre sehend worden. Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Kot legte er mir auf die Augen, und ich wusch mich und bin nun sehend.

Unos decían: Este es; y otros: A él se parece. El decía: Yo soy.

Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.

Others were saying, “It is he.” Still others were saying, “He looks like him.” He said, “I am he.”

Da sprachen etliche der Pharisäer: Der Mensch ist nicht von Gott, dieweil er den Sabbat nicht hält. Die andern aber sprachen: Wie kann ein sündiger Mensch solche Zeichen tun? Und es ward eine Zwietracht unter ihnen.

Y dijéronle: ¿Cómo te fueron abiertos los ojos?

Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?

They therefore were asking him, “How were your eyes opened?”

Sie sprachen wieder zu dem Blinden: Was sagest du von ihm, daß er hat deine Augen aufgetan? Er aber sprach: Er ist ein Prophet.

Respondió él y dijo: El hombre que se llama Jesús, hizo lodo, y me untó los ojos, y me dijo: Ve al Siloé, y lávate: y fuí, y me lavé, y recibí la vista.

He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.

He answered, “A man called Jesus made mud, anointed my eyes, and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went away and washed, and I received sight.”

Die Juden glaubten nicht von ihm, daß er blind gewesen und sehend worden wäre, bis daß sie riefen die Eltern des, der sehend war worden,

Entonces le dijeron: ¿Dónde está aquél? El dijo: No sé.

Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.

Then they asked him, “Where is he?” He said, “I don’t know.”

fragten sie und sprachen: Ist das euer Sohn, von welchem ihr saget, er sei blind geboren? Wie ist er denn nun sehend?

Llevaron á los Fariseos al que antes había sido ciego.

They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.

They brought him who had been blind to the Pharisees.

Seine Eltern antworteten ihnen und sprachen: Wir wissen, daß dieser unser Sohn ist, und daß er blind geboren ist.

Y era sábado cuando Jesús había hecho el lodo, y le había abierto los ojos.

And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.

It was a Sabbath when Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes.

Wie er aber nun sehend ist, wissen wir nicht; oder wer ihm hat seine Augen aufgetan, wissen wir auch nicht. Er ist alt genug, fraget ihn; lasset ihn selbst für sich reden.

Y volviéronle á preguntar también los Fariseos de qué manera había recibido la vista. Y él les dijo: Púsome lodo sobre los ojos, y me lavé, y veo.

Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.

Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. He said to them, “He put mud on my eyes, I washed, and I see.”

Solches sagten seine Eltern; denn sie fürchteten sich vor den Juden. Denn die Juden hatten sich schon vereiniget, so jemand ihn für Christum bekennete, daß derselbe in Bann getan würde.

Entonces unos de los Fariseos decían: Este hombre no es de Dios, que no guarda el sábado. Otros decían: ¿Cómo puede un hombre pecador hacer estas señales? Y había disensión entre ellos.

Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

Some therefore of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, because he doesn’t keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” So there was division among them.

Darum sprachen seine Eltern: Er ist alt genug, fraget ihn.

Vuelven á decir al ciego: ¿Tú, qué dices del que te abrió los ojos? Y él dijo: Que es profeta.

They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet.

Therefore they asked the blind man again, “What do you say about him, because he opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.”

Da riefen sie zum andernmal den Menschen, der blind gewesen war, und sprachen zu ihm: Gib Gott die Ehre! Wir wissen, daß dieser Mensch ein Sünder ist.

Mas los Judíos no creían de él, que había sido ciego, y hubiese recibido la vista, hasta que llamaron á los padres del que había recibido la vista;

But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.

The Jews therefore didn’t believe concerning him, that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight,

Er antwortete und sprach: Ist er ein Sünder, das weiß ich nicht; eines weiß ich wohl, daß ich blind war und bin nun sehend.

Y preguntáronles, diciendo: ¿Es éste vuestro hijo, el que vosotros decís que nació ciego? ¿Cómo, pues, ve ahora?

And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?

and asked them, “Is this your son, whom you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”

Da sprachen sie wieder zu ihm: Was tat er dir? Wie tat er deine Augen auf?

Respondiéronles sus padres y dijeron: Sabemos que éste es nuestro hijo, y que nació ciego:

His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:

His parents answered them, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;

Er antwortete ihnen: Ich hab's euch jetzt gesagt; habt ihr's nicht gehöret? Was wollt ihr's abermal hören? Wollt ihr auch seine Jünger werden?

Mas cómo vea ahora, no sabemos; ó quién le haya abierto los ojos, nosotros no lo sabemos; él tiene edad, preguntadle á él; él hablará de sí.

But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.

but how he now sees, we don’t know; or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.”

Da fluchten sie ihm und sprachen: Du bist sein Jünger; wir aber sind Mose's Jünger.

Esto dijeron sus padres, porque tenían miedo de los Judíos: porque ya los Judíos habían resuelto que si alguno confesase ser él el Mesías, fuese fuera de la sinagoga.

These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

His parents said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue.

Wir wissen, daß Gott mit Mose geredet hat; diesen aber wissen wir nicht, von wannen er ist.

Por eso dijeron sus padres: Edad tiene, preguntadle á él.

Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.

Therefore his parents said, “He is of age. Ask him.”

Der Mensch antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Das ist ein wunderlich Ding, daß ihr nicht wisset, von wannen er sei; und er hat meine Augen aufgetan!

Así que, volvieron á llamar al hombre que había sido ciego, y dijéronle: Da gloria á Dios: nosotros sabemos que este hombre es pecador.

Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.

So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”

Wir wissen aber, daß Gott die Sünder nicht höret, sondern so jemand gottesfürchtig ist und tut seinen Willen, den höret er.

Entonces él respondió, y dijo: Si es pecador, no lo sé: una cosa sé, que habiendo yo sido ciego, ahora veo.

He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.

He therefore answered, “I don’t know if he is a sinner. One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.”

Von der Welt an ist's nicht erhöret, daß jemand einem gebornen Blinden die Augen aufgetan habe.

Y volviéronle á decir: ¿Qué te hizo? ¿Cómo te abrió los ojos?

Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?

They said to him again, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”

Wäre dieser nicht von Gott, er könnte nichts tun.

Respondióles: Ya os lo he dicho, y no habéis atendido: ¿por qué lo queréis otra vez oir? ¿queréis también vosotros haceros sus discípulos?

He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?

He answered them, “I told you already, and you didn’t listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You don’t also want to become his disciples, do you?”

Sie antworteten und sprachen zu ihm: Du bist ganz in Sünden geboren und lehrest uns? Und stießen ihn hinaus.

Y le ultrajaron, y dijeron: Tú eres su discípulo; pero nosotros discípulos de Moisés somos.

Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples.

They insulted him and said, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.

Es kam vor Jesum, daß sie ihn ausgestoßen hatten. Und da er ihn fand, sprach er zu ihm: Glaubest du an den Sohn Gottes?

Nosotros sabemos que á Moisés habló Dios: mas éste no sabemos de dónde es.

We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.

We know that God has spoken to Moses. But as for this man, we don’t know where he comes from.”

Er antwortete und sprach: HERR, welcher ist's, auf daß ich an ihn glaube?

Respondió aquel hombre, y díjoles: Por cierto, maravillosa cosa es ésta, que vosotros no sabéis de dónde sea, y á mí me abrió los ojos.

The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.

The man answered them, “How amazing! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes.

Jesus sprach zu ihm: Du hast ihn gesehen, und der mit dir redet, der ist's.

Y sabemos que Dios no oye á los pecadores: mas si alguno es temeroso de Dios, y hace su voluntad, á éste oye.

Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, he listens to him.

Er aber sprach: HERR, ich glaube; und betete ihn an.

Desde el siglo no fué oído, que abriese alguno los ojos de uno que nació ciego.

Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.

Since the world began it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind.

Und Jesus sprach: Ich bin zum Gerichte auf diese Welt kommen, auf daß, die da nicht sehen, sehend werden, und die da sehen, blind werden.

Si éste no fuera de Dios, no pudiera hacer nada.

If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.

If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”

Und solches höreten etliche der Pharisäer, die bei ihm waren, und sprachen zu ihm: Sind wir denn auch blind?

Respondieron, y dijéronle: En pecados eres nacido todo, ¿y tú nos enseñas? Y echáronle fuera.

They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.

They answered him, “You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us?” Then they threw him out.

Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Wäret ihr blind, so hättet ihr keine Sünde; nun ihr aber sprechet: Wir sind sehend, bleibet eure Sünde.

Oyó Jesús que le habían echado fuera; y hallándole, díjole: ¿Crees tú en el Hijo de Dios?

Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?

Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and finding him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of God?”

Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wer nicht zur Tür hineingehet in den Schafstall, sondern steiget anderswo hinein, der ist ein Dieb und ein Mörder.

Respondió él, y dijo: ¿Quién es, Señor, para que crea en él?

He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?

He answered, “Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?”

Der aber zur Tür hineingehet, der ist ein Hirte der Schafe.

Y díjole Jesús: Y le has visto, y el que habla contigo, él es.

And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.

Jesus said to him, “You have both seen him, and it is he who speaks with you.”

Demselbigen tut der Türhüter auf, und die Schafe hören seine Stimme; und er ruft seine Schafe mit Namen und führet sie aus.

Y él dice: Creo, Señor; y adoróle.

And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

He said, “Lord, I believe!” and he worshiped him.

Und wenn er seine Schafe hat ausgelassen, gehet er vor ihnen hin, und die Schafe folgen ihm nach; denn sie kennen seine Stimme.

Y dijo Jesús: Yo, para juicio he venido á este mundo: para que los que no ven, vean; y los que ven, sean cegados.

And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment, that those who don’t see may see; and that those who see may become blind.”

Einem Fremden aber folgen sie nicht nach, sondern fliehen von ihm; denn sie kennen der Fremden Stimme nicht.

Y ciertos de los Fariseos que estaban con él oyeron esto, y dijéronle: ¿Somos nosotros también ciegos?

And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?

Those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and said to him, “Are we also blind?”

Diesen Spruch sagte Jesus zu ihnen; sie vernahmen aber nicht, was es war, das er zu ihnen sagte.

Díjoles Jesús: Si fuerais ciegos, no tuvierais pecado: mas ahora porque decís, Vemos, por tanto vuestro pecado permanece.

Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.
