Und im Vorbeigehen (beim Weitergehen) sah er einen von Geburt an blinden Mann (Menschen).

Y PASANDO Jesús, vió un hombre ciego desde su nacimiento.

And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth.

Und seine Jünger fragten ihn {sagend}: „Rabbi (Lehrer), wer hat †hier gesündigt, der †Mann (dieser) oder seine Eltern, sodass er blind geboren wurde?“

Y preguntáronle sus discípulos, diciendo: Rabbí, ¿quién pecó, éste ó sus padres, para que naciese ciego?

And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

Jesus erwiderte: „Weder hat der †Mann (dieser) gesündigt noch seine Eltern. †Er ist vielmehr (sondern) †blind, damit Gottes Handeln (Wirken, Taten, Werke) an ihm sichtbar wird.

Respondió Jesús: Ni éste pecó, ni sus padres: mas para que las obras de Dios se manifiesten en él.

Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Jesus answered, “This man didn’t sin, nor did his parents, but that the works of God might be revealed in him.

Wir müssen das Handeln (Wirken, Taten, Werke) dessen ausführen (bewirken, tun), der mich gesandt hat, solange es Tag ist – †die Nacht kommt, und dann (wenn) kann niemand mehr †etwas tun (bewirken) kann.

Conviéneme obrar las obras del que me envió, entre tanto que el día dura: la noche viene, cuando nadie puede obrar.

I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work.

Wann immer (Solange) ich in der Welt bin, bin ich †das Licht der Welt.“

Entre tanto que estuviere en el mundo, luz soy del mundo.

As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

Sobald (als, nachdem) er das gesagt hatte, spuckte er auf den Boden, {und} machte mit (aus) dem Speichel Matsch (Schlamm) und strich ihm den Matsch (Schlamm) auf die Augen.

Esto dicho, escupió en tierra, é hizo lodo con la saliva, y untó con el lodo sobre los ojos del ciego,

When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,

When he had said this, he spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, anointed the blind man’s eyes with the mud,

Und er sagte zu ihm: „Geh †und wasche dich im Teich von Schiloach ab!“ – das bedeutet „Gesandter“. Daraufhin (also) ging er weg, {und} wusch sich †das Gesicht ab und kam sehend zurück.

Y díjole: Ve, lávate en el estanque de Siloé (que significa, si lo interpretares, Enviado). Y fué entonces, y lavóse, y volvió viendo.

And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means “Sent”). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.

Da riefen (meinten, sagten) die Nachbarn und †solche, die ihn vorher als Bettler gesehen hatten: „Ist dieser †Mann nicht derjenige, der †hier saß und bettelte!“

Entonces los vecinos, y los que antes le habían visto que era ciego, decían: ¿No es éste el que se sentaba y mendigaba?

The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?

Therefore the neighbors and those who saw that he was blind before said, “Isn’t this he who sat and begged?”

Einige meinten (sagten): {dass} „Er ist es!“, andere riefen (sagten): „Nein, er ist ihm nur (aber, sondern) ähnlich!“ Er selbst sagte: {dass} „Ich bin es.“

Unos decían: Este es; y otros: A él se parece. El decía: Yo soy.

Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.

Others were saying, “It is he.” Still others were saying, “He looks like him.” He said, “I am he.”

Da fragten (sagten) sie ihn: „Wie wurden dir denn dann die Augen geöffnet?“

Y dijéronle: ¿Cómo te fueron abiertos los ojos?

Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?

They therefore were asking him, “How were your eyes opened?”

Der Mann antwortete: „Der Mann (Mensch), der Jesus heißt, hat Matsch (Schlamm) gemacht und mir die Augen †damit eingestrichen, und er sagte mir: »Geh zum †Teich Schiloach und wasche dich ab!« Nachdem ich dann (also) hingegangen war und mich abgewaschen hatte, konnte ich sehen.“

Respondió él y dijo: El hombre que se llama Jesús, hizo lodo, y me untó los ojos, y me dijo: Ve al Siloé, y lávate: y fuí, y me lavé, y recibí la vista.

He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.

He answered, “A man called Jesus made mud, anointed my eyes, and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went away and washed, and I received sight.”

Da (und) fragten (sagten) sie ihn: „Wo ist der Mann, †von dem du sprichst?“ Er sagte: „Ich weiß nicht.“

Entonces le dijeron: ¿Dónde está aquél? El dijo: No sé.

Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.

Then they asked him, “Where is he?” He said, “I don’t know.”

Sie brachten den vormals Blinden vor (zu) die Pharisäer.

Llevaron á los Fariseos al que antes había sido ciego.

They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.

They brought him who had been blind to the Pharisees.

{Allerdings (übrigens, nämlich)} Es war Sabbat an dem Tag, †an dem Jesus den Matsch (Schlamm) machte und ihm die Augen öffnete.

Y era sábado cuando Jesús había hecho el lodo, y le había abierto los ojos.

And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.

It was a Sabbath when Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes.

Auch die Pharisäer befragten ihn {nun} weiter (noch einmal, immer wieder), wie †es kam, dass er †plötzlich sehen konnte. Er {aber} antwortete (sagte) ihnen: „Er hat mir Matsch (Schlamm) auf die Augen getan, {und} ich habe gebadet, und †jetzt sehe ich.“

Y volviéronle á preguntar también los Fariseos de qué manera había recibido la vista. Y él les dijo: Púsome lodo sobre los ojos, y me lavé, y veo.

Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.

Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. He said to them, “He put mud on my eyes, I washed, and I see.”

Manche von (unter) den Pharisäern meinten (sagten) daraufhin: „Dieser Mensch (Mann) ist nicht von Gott, weil er den Sabbat nicht einhält (befolgt, bewahrt). Andere sagten (meinten): »Wie könnte ein sündiger Mensch solche (derartige) Zeichen (Wunder) tun?« Und es kam (war) unter ihnen zu einer Spaltung.

Entonces unos de los Fariseos decían: Este hombre no es de Dios, que no guarda el sábado. Otros decían: ¿Cómo puede un hombre pecador hacer estas señales? Y había disensión entre ellos.

Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

Some therefore of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, because he doesn’t keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” So there was division among them.

Also fragten (sagten) sie den Blinden noch einmal: »Was sagst du über ihn – da er dir ja die Augen geöffnet hat?« Er {aber} sagte: {dass} »Er ist ein Prophet!«

Vuelven á decir al ciego: ¿Tú, qué dices del que te abrió los ojos? Y él dijo: Que es profeta.

They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet.

Therefore they asked the blind man again, “What do you say about him, because he opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.”

Da glaubten die Juden nicht †mehr {über ihn}, dass er blind (ein Blinder) †gewesen war und †nun sehen konnte, bis sie {seine} die Eltern des Geheilten herbeiriefen

Mas los Judíos no creían de él, que había sido ciego, y hubiese recibido la vista, hasta que llamaron á los padres del que había recibido la vista;

But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.

The Jews therefore didn’t believe concerning him, that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight,

und sie fragten {wobei sie sagten}: »Ist dieser †Mann euer Sohn, von dem ihr sagt, dass er blind geboren wurde? Wie †kommt es denn, †dass er jetzt sehen kann (sieht)?

Y preguntáronles, diciendo: ¿Es éste vuestro hijo, el que vosotros decís que nació ciego? ¿Cómo, pues, ve ahora?

And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?

and asked them, “Is this your son, whom you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”

Da antworteten seine Eltern {und sagten}: »Wir wissen, dass er (dieser †Mann) unser Sohn ist und dass er blind geboren wurde.

Respondiéronles sus padres y dijeron: Sabemos que éste es nuestro hijo, y que nació ciego:

His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:

His parents answered them, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;

Wie †es aber †kommt, dass er jetzt sehen kann (sieht), wissen wir nicht, auch (oder) wer ihm die Augen geöffnet hat, wissen wir nicht. Fragt ihn †doch selbst, er ist erwachsen, er wird selbst für sich sprechen!«

Mas cómo vea ahora, no sabemos; ó quién le haya abierto los ojos, nosotros no lo sabemos; él tiene edad, preguntadle á él; él hablará de sí.

But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.

but how he now sees, we don’t know; or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.”

Das sagten seine Eltern, weil sie die Juden fürchteten. Die Juden hatten sich nämlich (denn) schon †darüber verständigt (geeinigt, abgestimmt, beschlossen), dass jeder, der ihn †öffentlich als Messias (Christus) bezeichnete (bekannte), aus der Synagoge ausgeschlossen werden †sollte.

Esto dijeron sus padres, porque tenían miedo de los Judíos: porque ya los Judíos habían resuelto que si alguno confesase ser él el Mesías, fuese fuera de la sinagoga.

These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

His parents said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue.

Aus diesem Grund sagten seine Eltern: {dass} »Er ist erwachsen, fragt ihn †doch selbst!«

Por eso dijeron sus padres: Edad tiene, preguntadle á él.

Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.

Therefore his parents said, “He is of age. Ask him.”

Daraufhin (also) riefen sie den Mann (Menschen) zum zweiten Mal, der blind (ein Blinder) †gewesen war, und forderten ihn auf (sagten zu ihm): »Gib Gott Ehre! Wir wissen, dass dieser Mensch (Mann) ein Sünder (sündig) ist!«

Así que, volvieron á llamar al hombre que había sido ciego, y dijéronle: Da gloria á Dios: nosotros sabemos que este hombre es pecador.

Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.

So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”

Da antwortete der Mann (jener): »Ob er sündig ist, weiß ich nicht! Eines weiß ich: dass ich, der blind war (als Blinder), jetzt sehen kann (sehe).«

Entonces él respondió, y dijo: Si es pecador, no lo sé: una cosa sé, que habiendo yo sido ciego, ahora veo.

He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.

He therefore answered, “I don’t know if he is a sinner. One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.”

Darauf sagten sie zu ihm: »Was hat er mit dir gemacht? Wie hat er dir die Augen geöffnet?«

Y volviéronle á decir: ¿Qué te hizo? ¿Cómo te abrió los ojos?

Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?

They said to him again, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”

Er antwortete ihnen: »Ich habe †es euch schon gesagt und ihr habt nicht zugehört. Warum wollt ihr es noch einmal hören? Wollt wohl (vielleicht) auch ihr seine Jünger werden?«

Respondióles: Ya os lo he dicho, y no habéis atendido: ¿por qué lo queréis otra vez oir? ¿queréis también vosotros haceros sus discípulos?

He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?

He answered them, “I told you already, and you didn’t listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You don’t also want to become his disciples, do you?”

Da (und) beschimpften sie ihn {und sagten}: »Du bist sein Jünger, wir aber sind Moses Jünger!

Y le ultrajaron, y dijeron: Tú eres su discípulo; pero nosotros discípulos de Moisés somos.

Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples.

They insulted him and said, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.

Wir wissen, dass Gott zu Mose gesprochen hat, aber von diesem †Mann wissen wir nicht, woher er ist.«

Nosotros sabemos que á Moisés habló Dios: mas éste no sabemos de dónde es.

We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.

We know that God has spoken to Moses. But as for this man, we don’t know where he comes from.”

Der Mann (Mensch) antwortete {und sagte zu ihnen}: »Das ist ja merkwürdig (seltsam, erstaunlich), dass ihr nicht wisst, woher er ist, obwohl (und) er mir die Augen geöffnet hat.

Respondió aquel hombre, y díjoles: Por cierto, maravillosa cosa es ésta, que vosotros no sabéis de dónde sea, y á mí me abrió los ojos.

The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.

The man answered them, “How amazing! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes.

Wir wissen, dass Gott Sündern nicht zuhört. Vielmehr hört er gerade demjenigen zu, †der gottesfürchtig (fromm) ist und seinen Willen tut.

Y sabemos que Dios no oye á los pecadores: mas si alguno es temeroso de Dios, y hace su voluntad, á éste oye.

Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, he listens to him.

Von jeher ist es nicht gehört worden, dass jemandem die Augen geöffnet wurden, der blind (als Blinder) geboren war.

Desde el siglo no fué oído, que abriese alguno los ojos de uno que nació ciego.

Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.

Since the world began it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind.

Wenn dieser †Mann nicht von Gott wäre, könnte er nichts †dergleichen tun!«

Si éste no fuera de Dios, no pudiera hacer nada.

If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.

If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”

Sie antworteten {und sagten} ihm »Du wurdest ganz in Sünden geboren und du belehrst uns?« und warfen ihn hinaus.

Respondieron, y dijéronle: En pecados eres nacido todo, ¿y tú nos enseñas? Y echáronle fuera.

They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.

They answered him, “You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us?” Then they threw him out.

Jesus hörte, dass sie ihn hinausgeworfen hatten, und sagte, nachdem er ihn gefunden hatte: »Glaubst du an den »Sohn des Menschen« (»Menschensohn«, »Menschen«)?«

Oyó Jesús que le habían echado fuera; y hallándole, díjole: ¿Crees tú en el Hijo de Dios?

Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?

Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and finding him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of God?”

Der Mann (jener) erwiderte {und sagte}: »Und wer ist es, Herr, damit ich an ihn glauben kann?«

Respondió él, y dijo: ¿Quién es, Señor, para que crea en él?

He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?

He answered, “Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?”

Jesus sagte zu ihm: »{und} Du hast ihn gefunden: {und} Der mit dir spricht, ist es!«

Y díjole Jesús: Y le has visto, y el que habla contigo, él es.

And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.

Jesus said to him, “You have both seen him, and it is he who speaks with you.”

Da (und) rief (sprach) der †Mann »Ich glaube, Herr!« und betete ihn an.

Y él dice: Creo, Señor; y adoróle.

And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

He said, “Lord, I believe!” and he worshiped him.

Und Jesus sagte: »Zur Scheidung (Gericht) bin ich in diese Welt gekommen, damit die nicht Sehenden sehen können (sehen) und die Sehenden blind werden.«

Y dijo Jesús: Yo, para juicio he venido á este mundo: para que los que no ven, vean; y los que ven, sean cegados.

And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment, that those who don’t see may see; and that those who see may become blind.”

Das hörten diejenigen von den Pharisäern, die bei (mit) ihm waren, und sagten zu ihm: »Aber wir gehören nicht zu den Blinden, oder?«

Y ciertos de los Fariseos que estaban con él oyeron esto, y dijéronle: ¿Somos nosotros también ciegos?

And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?

Those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and said to him, “Are we also blind?”

Jesus entgegnete (sagte zu) ihnen: »Wenn ihr blind wäret, †dann hättet ihr keine Sünde. Aber jetzt sagt ihr: {dass} »Wir sehen!«, †und eure Sünde bleibt.« «“

Díjoles Jesús: Si fuerais ciegos, no tuvierais pecado: mas ahora porque decís, Vemos, por tanto vuestro pecado permanece.

Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.
