ehe ich hingehe (und nicht wiederkomme) in das Land der Finsternis und des Todesschattens,

Antes que vaya para no volver, á la tierra de tinieblas y de sombra de muerte;

Before I go whence I shall not return, even to the land of darkness and the shadow of death;

before I go where I will not return from, to the land of darkness and of the shadow of death;
