Y RESPONDIÓ Sophar Naamathita, y dijo:
Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

“Será que todas essas palavras vão ficar sem resposta? Será que você vai tentar se justificar com essa conversa?
¿Las muchas palabras no han de tener respuesta? ¿y el hombre parlero será justificado?
Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?
“Shouldn’t the multitude of words be answered? Should a man full of talk be justified?
Você pensa que toda essa conversa tola calará as outras pessoas? Pensa que pode zombar e desafiar Deus sem ser repreendido por alguém?
¿Harán tus falacias callar á los hombres? ¿y harás escarnio, y no habrá quien te avergüence?
Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
Should your boastings make men hold their peace? When you mock, will no man make you ashamed?
Você afirma que sua vida é perfeita aos olhos de Deus e que você é inocente.
Tú dices: Mi conversar es puro, y yo soy limpio delante de tus ojos.
For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.
For you say, ‘My doctrine is pure. I am clean in your eyes.’
Ah, quem dera Deus lhe falasse e dissesse o que ele pensa a seu respeito.
Mas ¡oh quién diera que Dios hablara, y abriera sus labios contigo,
But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;
But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against you,
Quem dera ele lhe mostrasse tudo o que sabe a seu respeito. Então você conheceria a verdadeira sabedoria de Deus, que é tão grande e complexa. E fique sabendo que Deus ainda está deixando de lado uma parte de seus pecados!
Y que te declarara los arcanos de la sabiduría, que son de doble valor que la hacienda! Conocerías entonces que Dios te ha castigado menos que tu iniquidad merece.
And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.
that he would show you the secrets of wisdom! For true wisdom has two sides. Know therefore that God exacts of you less than your iniquity deserves.
“Por acaso você conhece os mistérios de Deus? É capaz de compreender o Todo-poderoso na sua pureza e perfeição?
¿Alcanzarás tú el rastro de Dios? ¿llegarás tú á la perfección del Todopoderoso?
Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
“Can you fathom the mystery of God? Or can you probe the limits of the Almighty?
A sabedoria divina é mais alta que os céus; como é que você pretende discutir com ele? A sabedoria divina é mais profunda que as profundezas! O que você poderá saber?
Es más alto que los cielos: ¿qué harás? Es más profundo que el infierno: ¿cómo lo conocerás?
It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?
They are high as heaven. What can you do? They are deeper than Sheol. What can you know?
Deus é maior do que a terra e mais vasto que o mar.
Su dimensión es más larga que la tierra, y más ancha que la mar.
The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
Its measure is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
“Se ele considera um homem culpado, julga esse homem e lhe dá o castigo merecido. Quem poderá impedi-lo?
Si cortare, ó encerrare, ó juntare, ¿quién podrá contrarrestarle?
If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?
If he passes by, or confines, or convenes a court, then who can oppose him?
Será que Deus não conhece muito bem as pessoas que não sabem nada? Sem esforço ele conhece a maldade de cada um.
Porque él conoce á los hombres vanos: ve asimismo la iniquidad, ¿y no hará caso?
For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it?
For he knows false men. He sees iniquity also, even though he doesn’t consider it.
E você se julga sábio! O homem só será sábio no dia em que a cria de um jumento selvagem nascer homem!
El hombre vano se hará entendido, aunque nazca como el pollino del asno montés.
For vain man would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass’s colt.
An empty-headed man becomes wise when a man is born as a wild donkey’s colt.
Contudo, faça um propósito de consagrar o seu coração, e estender as mãos para ele;
Si tú apercibieres tu corazón, y extendieres á él tus manos;
If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;
“If you set your heart aright, stretch out your hands toward him.
abandonar o pecado que mancha as suas mãos e não permitir que a maldade habite em sua casa.
Si alguna iniquidad hubiere en tu mano, y la echares de ti, y no consintieres que more maldad en tus habitaciones;
If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.
If iniquity is in your hand, put it far away. Don’t let unrighteousness dwell in your tents.
Então você poderá andar de cabeça erguida, sem envergonhar-se; firme e sem medo!
Entonces levantarás tu rostro limpio de mancha, y serás fuerte y no temerás:
For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:
Surely then you will lift up your face without spot. Yes, you will be steadfast, and will not fear,
Os seus sofrimentos ficarão para trás, como águas passadas, e você nunca mais se lembrará deles.
Y olvidarás tu trabajo, ó te acordarás de él como de aguas que pasaron:
Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:
for you will forget your misery. You will remember it like waters that have passed away.
Sua vida será clara como o meio-dia, e as horas que antes eram escuras como a noite se tornarão claras como um dia sem nuvens.
Y en mitad de la siesta se levantará bonanza; resplandecerás, y serás como la mañana:
And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.
Life will be clearer than the noonday. Though there is darkness, it will be as the morning.
Você viverá tranquilo e a vida será cheia de esperança. Você dormirá em paz e segurança.
Y confiarás, que habrá esperanza; y cavarás, y dormirás seguro:
And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.
You will be secure, because there is hope. Yes, you will search, and will take your rest in safety.
Não haverá inimigos para perturbar o seu sono, pois todos vão querer a sua amizade.
Y te acostarás, y no habrá quien te espante: y muchos te rogarán.
Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
Also you will lie down, and no one will make you afraid. Yes, many will court your favor.
Os pecadores rebeldes, por outro lado, se cansarão à procura de refúgio, mas não acharão lugar para onde fugir; para eles, a única esperança, o único consolo, será a morte”.
Mas los ojos de los malos se consumirán, y no tendrán refugio; y su esperanza será agonía del alma.
But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost.
But the eyes of the wicked will fail. They will have no way to flee. Their hope will be the giving up of the spirit.”
