Vraiment, vous êtes tout un peuple, et avec vous mourra la sagesse !
Ciertamente que vosotros sois el pueblo; y con vosotros morirá la sabiduría.
No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
“No doubt, but you are the people, and wisdom will die with you.
J’ai pourtant du sens aussi bien que vous, je ne vous suis point inférieur ; et qui ne sait de telles choses ?
También tengo yo seso como vosotros; no soy yo menos que vosotros: ¿y quién habrá que no pueda decir otro tanto?
But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these?

Je suis un homme qui est en risée à son ami ; un homme qui invoquait Dieu, et Dieu lui répondait ! En risée ! un homme juste, intègre !
Yo soy uno de quien su amigo se mofa, que invoca á Dios, y él le responde: con todo, el justo y perfecto es escarnecido.
I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.
I am like one who is a joke to his neighbor, I, who called on God, and he answered. The just, the blameless man is a joke.
Mépris au malheur ! telle est la pensée des heureux ; le mépris est réservé à ceux dont le pied chancelle !
Aquel cuyos pies van á resbalar, es como una lámpara despreciada de aquel que está á sus anchuras.
He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.
In the thought of him who is at ease there is contempt for misfortune. It is ready for them whose foot slips.
Elles sont en paix, les tentes des pillards, et toutes les sécurités sont pour ceux qui irritent Dieu, qui se font un dieu de leur bras.
Prosperan las tiendas de los ladrones, y los que provocan á Dios viven seguros; en cuyas manos él ha puesto cuanto tienen.
The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.
The tents of robbers prosper. Those who provoke God are secure, who carry their god in their hands.
Mais interroge donc les bêtes, et elles t’instruiront ; ou les oiseaux des cieux, et ils te l’annonceront ;
Y en efecto, pregunta ahora á las bestias, que ellas te enseñarán; y á las aves de los cielos, que ellas te lo mostrarán:
But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
“But ask the animals now, and they will teach you; the birds of the sky, and they will tell you.
Ou parle à la terre, et elle t’instruira ; et les poissons de la mer te le raconteront.
O habla á la tierra, que ella te enseñará; los peces de la mar te lo declararán también.
Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you. The fish of the sea will declare to you.
Qui ne sait, parmi tous ces êtres, que la main de Dieu a fait cet univers ?
¿Qué cosa de todas estas no entiende que la mano de Jehová la hizo?
Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?
Who doesn’t know that in all these, the LORD’s hand has done this,
Qu’il tient en sa main l’âme de tous les vivants, l’esprit de toute chair d’homme ?
En su mano está el alma de todo viviente, y el espíritu de toda carne humana.
In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.

L’oreille ne juge-t-elle pas des discours, comme le palais goûte les aliments ?
Ciertamente el oído distingue las palabras, y el paladar gusta las viandas.
Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat?
Doesn’t the ear try words, even as the palate tastes its food?
La sagesse est dans les vieillards, et le discernement est le fruit des longs jours !
En los viejos está la ciencia, y en la larga edad la inteligencia.
With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.
With aged men is wisdom, in length of days understanding.
Non, c’est en Dieu que se trouvent la sagesse et la force ; c’est à lui qu’appartiennent le conseil et l’intelligence.
Con Dios está la sabiduría y la fortaleza; suyo es el consejo y la inteligencia.
With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.
“With God is wisdom and might. He has counsel and understanding.
Voici, il démolit, et on ne rebâtit point ; il enferme quelqu’un, et on ne lui ouvre pas.
He aquí, él derribará, y no será edificado: encerrará al hombre, y no habrá quien le abra.
Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
Behold, he breaks down, and it can’t be built again. He imprisons a man, and there can be no release.
Voici, il retient les eaux, et elles tarissent ; il les lâche, et elles bouleversent la terre.
He aquí, él detendrá las aguas, y se secarán; él las enviará, y destruirán la tierra.
Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.

En lui résident la puissance et la sagesse ; de lui dépendent celui qui s’égare et celui qui égare.
Con él está la fortaleza y la existencia; suyo es el que yerra, y el que hace errar.

Il fait marcher pieds nus les conseillers ; il frappe de folie les juges.

Il ôte la parole aux plus assurés, et il prive de sens les vieillards.
El impide el labio á los que dicen verdad, y quita á los ancianos el consejo.
He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.

Il verse le mépris sur les nobles, et il délie la ceinture des forts.
El derrama menosprecio sobre los príncipes, y enflaquece la fuerza de los esforzados.
He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty.
He pours contempt on princes, and loosens the belt of the strong.
Il met en évidence les profondeurs cachées dans les ténèbres, et il amène à la lumière l’ombre de la mort.
El descubre las profundidades de las tinieblas, y saca á luz la sombra de muerte.

Il agrandit les nations, et il les perd ; il étend les nations, et il les conduit en captivité.
El multiplica las gentes, y él las destruye: él esparce las gentes, y las torna á recoger.
He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again.

Il ôte le sens aux chefs des peuples de la terre, et il les fait errer dans un désert sans chemin.
El quita el seso de las cabezas del pueblo de la tierra, y háceles que se pierdan vagueando sin camino:
He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.
