Y RESPONDIÓ Job, y dijo:
And Job answered and said,
Then Job answered,
“Sem dúvida, vocês são a voz do povo, e a sabedoria morrerá com vocês!
Ciertamente que vosotros sois el pueblo; y con vosotros morirá la sabiduría.
No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
“No doubt, but you are the people, and wisdom will die with you.
Pois bem, eu também possuo alguma sabedoria; não fico atrás de vocês! Além disso, qualquer um conhece as coisas que vocês estão me dizendo!
También tengo yo seso como vosotros; no soy yo menos que vosotros: ¿y quién habrá que no pueda decir otro tanto?
But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these?
But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Yes, who doesn’t know such things as these?
Vejam o que me aconteceu! Eu era um homem justo e bom; quando eu orava, Deus respondia às minhas orações. Agora, porém, os meus próprios amigos zombam e fazem pouco caso de mim!
Yo soy uno de quien su amigo se mofa, que invoca á Dios, y él le responde: con todo, el justo y perfecto es escarnecido.
I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.
I am like one who is a joke to his neighbor, I, who called on God, and he answered. The just, the blameless man is a joke.
Vocês se sentem muito seguros e por isso zombam de quem está sofrendo, empurram quem já está tropeçando!
Aquel cuyos pies van á resbalar, es como una lámpara despreciada de aquel que está á sus anchuras.
He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.
In the thought of him who is at ease there is contempt for misfortune. It is ready for them whose foot slips.
Além disso, os saqueadores vivem em paz, e os que zombam de Deus vivem em segurança, fazendo da sua própria força um deus.
Prosperan las tiendas de los ladrones, y los que provocan á Dios viven seguros; en cuyas manos él ha puesto cuanto tienen.
The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.
The tents of robbers prosper. Those who provoke God are secure, who carry their god in their hands.
“Pergunte aos animais do campo, e eles o ensinarão, ou às aves dos céus, e elas lhe contarão;
Y en efecto, pregunta ahora á las bestias, que ellas te enseñarán; y á las aves de los cielos, que ellas te lo mostrarán:
But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
“But ask the animals now, and they will teach you; the birds of the sky, and they will tell you.
fale com a própria terra, e ela o instruirá; deixe que os peixes do mar o informem.
O habla á la tierra, que ella te enseñará; los peces de la mar te lo declararán también.
Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you. The fish of the sea will declare to you.
E quem neste mundo não sabe que foi a mão do Senhor que determinou e realizou todas essas coisas?
¿Qué cosa de todas estas no entiende que la mano de Jehová la hizo?
Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?
Who doesn’t know that in all these, the LORD’s hand has done this,
Em suas mãos está a vida de todas as criaturas, a vida de toda a humanidade.
En su mano está el alma de todo viviente, y el espíritu de toda carne humana.
In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
in whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind?
Assim como eu posso perceber se uma comida é gostosa ou não com a minha boca, meus ouvidos me dizem se suas palavras são verdadeiras ou falsas.
Ciertamente el oído distingue las palabras, y el paladar gusta las viandas.
Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat?
Doesn’t the ear try words, even as the palate tastes its food?
Será que a idade é garantia de sabedoria? E todos os velhos conhecem a vida de verdade?
En los viejos está la ciencia, y en la larga edad la inteligencia.
With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.
With aged men is wisdom, in length of days understanding.
“Deus é quem possui a sabedoria e o poder! A ele pertencem o conselho e o entendimento.
Con Dios está la sabiduría y la fortaleza; suyo es el consejo y la inteligencia.
With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.
“With God is wisdom and might. He has counsel and understanding.
O que ele destrói, ninguém consegue reconstruir! Quando ele aprisiona alguém, ninguém é capaz de libertar.
He aquí, él derribará, y no será edificado: encerrará al hombre, y no habrá quien le abra.
Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
Behold, he breaks down, and it can’t be built again. He imprisons a man, and there can be no release.
Se ele segura a chuva, vem a seca; se ele deixa a chuva cair, há enchentes e inundações.
He aquí, él detendrá las aguas, y se secarán; él las enviará, y destruirán la tierra.
Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
Behold, he withholds the waters, and they dry up. Again, he sends them out, and they overturn the earth.
Sim, a ele pertencem a sabedoria e o poder. A ele pertencem tanto quem engana como quem é enganado.
Con él está la fortaleza y la existencia; suyo es el que yerra, y el que hace errar.
With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.
With him is strength and wisdom. The deceived and the deceiver are his.
Ele tira das autoridades a sabedoria e faz com que os juízes percam o juízo.
El hace andar á los consejeros desnudos de consejo, y hace enloquecer á los jueces.
He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools.
He leads counselors away stripped. He makes judges fools.
Ele acaba com a autoridade dos reis e derruba os que estão no poder.
El suelta la atadura de los tiranos, y ata el cinto á sus lomos.
He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle.
He loosens the bond of kings. He binds their waist with a belt.
Ele afasta os sacerdotes do seu cargo, e acaba com o poder das famílias antigas e ricas.
El lleva despojados á los príncipes, y trastorna á los poderosos.
He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.
He leads priests away stripped, and overthrows the mighty.
Ele tira dos conselheiros a capacidade de fazer belos discursos; tira dos idosos a capacidade de dar bons conselhos.
El impide el labio á los que dicen verdad, y quita á los ancianos el consejo.
He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.
He removes the speech of those who are trusted, and takes away the understanding of the elders.
Ele faz os príncipes serem desprezados e enfraquece os poderosos.
El derrama menosprecio sobre los príncipes, y enflaquece la fuerza de los esforzados.
He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty.
He pours contempt on princes, and loosens the belt of the strong.
Ele mostra bem claramente os planos e pensamentos escondidos, lançando a sua luz sobre as trevas profundas.
El descubre las profundidades de las tinieblas, y saca á luz la sombra de muerte.
He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death.

Ele torna as nações poderosas e as destrói. Faz crescer as nações, e as espalha.
El multiplica las gentes, y él las destruye: él esparce las gentes, y las torna á recoger.
He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again.
He increases the nations, and he destroys them. He enlarges the nations, and he leads them captive.
Ele tira das autoridades a capacidade de entender os problemas de seu país, e faz os líderes das nações caminharem sem destino e sem rumo, como num deserto.
El quita el seso de las cabezas del pueblo de la tierra, y háceles que se pierdan vagueando sin camino:
He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.
He takes away understanding from the chiefs of the people of the earth, and causes them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.
Andam às escuras, tentando achar seu caminho como cegos, tropeçando e caindo como bêbados”.
Van á tientas como en tinieblas y sin luz, y los hace errar como borrachos.
