Wollt ihr Gott zuliebe Unrechtes reden und zu seinen Gunsten lügen?
¿Habéis de hablar iniquidad por Dios? ¿habéis de hablar por él engaño?
Will ye speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him?
Will you speak unrighteously for God, and talk deceitfully for him?
Wollt ihr seine Person ansehen oder Gottes Sachwalter spielen?
¿Habéis de hacer acepción de su persona? ¿habéis de pleitear vosotros por Dios?
Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?
Will you show partiality to him? Will you contend for God?
Würde es gut sein, wenn er euch erforschte? Könnt ihr ihn täuschen, wie man Menschen täuscht?
¿Sería bueno que él os escudriñase? ¿os burlaréis de él como quien se burla de algún hombre?
Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?

Nein, strafen wird er euch, wenn ihr im Geheimen die Person ansehet!
El os reprochará de seguro, si solapadamente hacéis acepción de personas.
He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.

Wird nicht seine Majestät euch schrecken und seine Furcht euch überfallen?
De cierto su alteza os había de espantar, y su pavor había de caer sobre vosotros.
Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?

Gebt acht, ich habe die Verteidigung gerüstet, ich weiß, daß ich Recht bekommen werde.
He aquí ahora, si yo me apercibiere á juicio, sé que seré justificado.
Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.
See now, I have set my cause in order. I know that I am righteous.
Wer will noch mit mir rechten? Denn dann wollte ich verstummen und verscheiden.
¿Quién es el que pleiteará conmigo? porque si ahora yo callara, fenecería.
Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost.
Who is he who will contend with me? For then I would hold my peace and give up the spirit.
Nur zweierlei tue nicht an mir, dann will ich mich vor deinem Angesicht nicht verbergen:
A lo menos dos cosas no hagas conmigo; entonces no me esconderé de tu rostro:
Only do not two things unto me: then will I not hide myself from thee.

Verscheuchst du ein verwehtes Blatt und verfolgst einen dürren Halm?
¿A la hoja arrebatada has de quebrantar? ¿y á una arista seca has de perseguir?
Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?
Will you harass a driven leaf? Will you pursue the dry stubble?
Denn du verschreibst mir Bitteres und lässest mich erben die Sünden meiner Jugend;
¿Por qué escribes contra mí amarguras, y me haces cargo de los pecados de mi mocedad?
For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.

du legst meine Füße in den Stock und lauerst auf alle meine Schritte und zeichnest dir meine Fußspuren auf,
