Ein Baum hat Hoffnung, wenn er schon abgehauen ist, daß er sich wieder erneue, und seine Schößlinge hören nicht auf.

Porque si el árbol fuere cortado, aun queda de él esperanza; retoñecerá aún, y sus renuevos no faltarán.

For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
