Car pour l'arbre, il est encore de l'espoir; si on le coupe il peut repousser, les rejetons ne lui manquent pas.

Porque si el árbol fuere cortado, aun queda de él esperanza; retoñecerá aún, y sus renuevos no faltarán.

For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
