EL HOMBRE nacido de mujer, corto de días, y harto de sinsabores:
Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.

Ele brota do chão como uma flor e é cortado, foge como uma sombra e não dura.
Que sale como una flor y es cortado; y huye como la sombra, y no permanece.
He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.
He grows up like a flower, and is cut down. He also flees like a shadow, and doesn’t continue.
Tu olhas para alguém assim? E me levas a julgamento contigo?
¿Y sobre éste abres tus ojos, y me traes á juicio contigo?
And dost thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee?
Do you open your eyes on such a one, and bring me into judgment with you?
Quem pode tirar coisa limpa a partir de uma coisa suja? Ninguém.
¿Quién hará limpio de inmundo? Nadie.

Os dias do homem são determinados. O número dos seus meses estão Contigo. Tu apontaste os limites dos quais ele não pode passar.
Ciertamente sus días están determinados, y el número de sus meses está cerca de ti: tú le pusiste términos, de los cuales no pasará.
Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;

Desvia-te dele para que possa descansar, para que possa aproveitar seu dia como um diarista, se puder fazê-lo.
Si tú lo dejares, él dejará de ser: entre tanto deseará, como el jornalero, su día.
Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as an hireling, his day.
Look away from him, that he may rest, until he accomplishes, as a hireling, his day.
Pode haver esperança para uma árvore; se for cortada, poderá brotar de novo, para que seu caule tenro não desapareça.
Porque si el árbol fuere cortado, aun queda de él esperanza; retoñecerá aún, y sus renuevos no faltarán.

Embora sua raiz envelheça na terra e seu toco morra no chão,
Si se envejeciere en la tierra su raíz, y su tronco fuere muerto en el polvo,
Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;
Though its root grows old in the earth, and its stock dies in the ground,
apenas com o cheiro das águas, brotará e dará ramos como uma planta.
Al percibir el agua reverdecerá, y hará copa como planta.
Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.

Mas o homem morre. Ele se torna fraco. De fato, o homem para de respirar e onde está?
Mas el hombre morirá, y será cortado; y perecerá el hombre, ¿y dónde estará él?
But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?
But man dies, and is laid low. Yes, man gives up the spirit, and where is he?
Como a água desaparece de um lago e como o rio perde água e seca,
Las aguas de la mar se fueron, y agotóse el río, secóse.
As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:
As the waters fail from the sea, and the river wastes and dries up,
assim as pessoas se deitam e não se levantam novamente. Até que os céus não existam mais, eles não acordarão nem se despertarão do seu sono.
Así el hombre yace, y no se tornará á levantar: hasta que no haya cielo no despertarán, ni se levantarán de su sueño.
So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

Ah! Se Tu me escondesses no Sheol longe dos problemas, se me escondesses até que a Tua ira passasse, fixasses o tempo da minha permanência lá e Te lembrasses de mim!
¡Oh quién me diera que me escondieses en el sepulcro, que me encubrieras hasta apaciguarse tu ira, que me pusieses plazo, y de mí te acordaras!
O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!
“Oh that you would hide me in Sheol, that you would keep me secret until your wrath is past, that you would appoint me a set time and remember me!
Se um homem morre, ele viverá novamente? Se assim for, desejaria esperar todo o meu tempo penoso até que minha libertação chegasse.
Si el hombre muriere, ¿volverá á vivir? Todos los días de mi edad esperaré, hasta que venga mi mutación.
If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.
If a man dies, will he live again? I would wait all the days of my warfare, until my release should come.
Tu chamarias e eu responderia. Desejarias ver a obra de Tuas mãos.
Aficionado á la obra de tus manos, llamarás, y yo te responderé.
Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands.
You would call, and I would answer you. You would have a desire for the work of your hands.
Tu contarias e cuidaria dos meus passos; não vigiarias meu pecado.
Pues ahora me cuentas los pasos, y no das tregua á mi pecado.
For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin?
But now you count my steps. Don’t you watch over my sin?
Minha transgressão seria selada em uma bolsa. Tu cobririas a minha iniquidade.
Tienes sellada en saco mi prevaricación, y coacervas mi iniquidad.
My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity.
My disobedience is sealed up in a bag. You fasten up my iniquity.
Mas até montanhas caem e não dão em nada; até as rochas são removidas do seu lugar;
Y ciertamente el monte que cae se deshace, y las peñas son traspasadas de su lugar;
And surely the mountain falling cometh to nought, and the rock is removed out of his place.
“But the mountain falling comes to nothing. The rock is removed out of its place.
as águas desgastam as pedras e suas enchentes lavam o pó da terra e Tu destróis a esperança do homem.
Las piedras son desgastadas con el agua impetuosa, que se lleva el polvo de la tierra: de tal manera haces tú perecer la esperanza del hombre.
The waters wear the stones: thou washest away the things which grow out of the dust of the earth; and thou destroyest the hope of man.
The waters wear the stones. The torrents of it wash away the dust of the earth. So you destroy the hope of man.
Tu sempre o derrotas e ele passa. Tu mudas o rosto dele e o mandas para morrer.
Para siempre serás más fuerte que él, y él se va; demudarás su rostro, y enviaráslo.
Thou prevailest for ever against him, and he passeth: thou changest his countenance, and sendest him away.
You forever prevail against him, and he departs. You change his face, and send him away.
Se seus filhos são honrados, ele não sabe disso. E, se são humilhados, ele não os vê.
Sus hijos serán honrados, y él no lo sabrá; ó serán humillados, y no entenderá de ellos.
His sons come to honour, and he knoweth it not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth it not of them.
His sons come to honor, and he doesn’t know it. They are brought low, but he doesn’t perceive it of them.
Ele sente apenas a dor do próprio corpo e lamenta por si mesmo".
Mas su carne sobre él se dolerá, y entristecerse ha en él su alma.
But his flesh upon him shall have pain, and his soul within him shall mourn.
But his flesh on him has pain, and his soul within him mourns.”
