MI ALIENTO está corrompido, acórtanse mis días, y me está aparejado el sepulcro.
My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves are ready for me.
“My spirit is consumed. My days are extinct and the grave is ready for me.
Si seulement je n'étais pas entouré de railleries, Et que mon œil ne dût pas contempler leurs attaques !
No hay conmigo sino escarnecedores, en cuya acrimonia se detienen mis ojos.
Are there not mockers with me? and doth not mine eye continue in their provocation?
Surely there are mockers with me. My eye dwells on their provocation.
Dépose, je te prie, un gage ; sois toi-même garant pour moi auprès de toi ! Qui d'autre voudrait me frapper dans la main ?
Pon ahora, dame fianza para litigar contigo: ¿quién tocará ahora mi mano?
Lay down now, put me in a surety with thee; who is he that will strike hands with me?

Car tu as fermé leurs cœurs à la sagesse, C'est pourquoi tu ne les laisseras pas triompher !
Porque á éstos has tú escondido su corazón de inteligencia: por tanto, no los ensalzarás.
For thou hast hid their heart from understanding: therefore shalt thou not exalt them.
For you have hidden their heart from understanding, therefore you will not exalt them.
On invite les amis à partager, Et les yeux des enfants se consument.
El que denuncia lisonjas á sus prójimos, los ojos de sus hijos desfallezcan.
He that speaketh flattery to his friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.

Les hommes droits en sont stupéfaits, Et l'innocent s'indigne contre l'impie.
Los rectos se maravillarán de esto, y el inocente se levantará contra el hipócrita.
Upright men shall be astonied at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the hypocrite.

Mais le juste poursuit son chemin avec fermeté, Et celui dont les mains sont pures prend une force nouvelle.
No obstante, proseguirá el justo su camino, y el limpio de manos aumentará la fuerza.
The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
Yet the righteous will hold to his way. He who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.
Mais vous tous, vous avez beau revenir : je ne trouverai pas un sage parmi vous.
Mas volved todos vosotros, y venid ahora, que no hallaré entre vosotros sabio.
But as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for I cannot find one wise man among you.

Si yo espero, el sepulcro es mi casa: haré mi cama en las tinieblas.
If I wait, the grave is mine house: I have made my bed in the darkness.
If I look for Sheol as my house, if I have spread my couch in the darkness,
Que j'ai dit au tombeau : Tu es mon père ! A la corruption : Ma mère, ma sœur !
A la huesa tengo dicho: Mi padre eres tú; á los gusanos: Mi madre y mi hermana.
I have said to corruption, Thou art my father: to the worm, Thou art my mother, and my sister.

Où est donc mon espérance, Et mon espérance, qui pourrait la voir ?

And where is now my hope? as for my hope, who shall see it?
