MI ALIENTO está corrompido, acórtanse mis días, y me está aparejado el sepulcro.
My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves are ready for me.
“My spirit is consumed. My days are extinct and the grave is ready for me.
No hay conmigo sino burladores, y mis ojos se fijan en su provocación.
No hay conmigo sino escarnecedores, en cuya acrimonia se detienen mis ojos.
Are there not mockers with me? and doth not mine eye continue in their provocation?
Surely there are mockers with me. My eye dwells on their provocation.
Te ruego, deposita una fianza ante Ti mismo. ¿Quién quiere ser mi garante?
Pon ahora, dame fianza para litigar contigo: ¿quién tocará ahora mi mano?
Lay down now, put me in a surety with thee; who is he that will strike hands with me?
“Now give a pledge. Be collateral for me with yourself. Who is there who will strike hands with me?
Porque cerraste su corazón al entendimiento. Por tanto, no los exaltarás.
Porque á éstos has tú escondido su corazón de inteligencia: por tanto, no los ensalzarás.
For thou hast hid their heart from understanding: therefore shalt thou not exalt them.
For you have hidden their heart from understanding, therefore you will not exalt them.
Al que traiciona a sus amigos por recompensa, les desfallecerán los ojos a sus hijos.
El que denuncia lisonjas á sus prójimos, los ojos de sus hijos desfallezcan.
He that speaketh flattery to his friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.
He who denounces his friends for plunder, even the eyes of his children will fail.
Pero Él me convirtió en un refrán de la gente. Soy uno a quien los hombres escupen.
El me ha puesto por parábola de pueblos, y delante de ellos he sido como tamboril.
He hath made me also a byword of the people; and aforetime I was as a tabret.
“But he has made me a byword of the people. They spit in my face.
Mis ojos se oscurecieron por la angustia, y todos mis miembros son como una sombra.
Y mis ojos se oscurecieron de desabrimiento, y mis pensamientos todos son como sombra.
Mine eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members are as a shadow.

Los rectos se asombran de esto, y el inocente se levanta contra el impío.
Los rectos se maravillarán de esto, y el inocente se levantará contra el hipócrita.
Upright men shall be astonied at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the hypocrite.
Upright men will be astonished at this. The innocent will stir himself up against the godless.
Sin embargo, el justo se aferra a su camino, y el limpio de manos aumentará sus fuerzas.
No obstante, proseguirá el justo su camino, y el limpio de manos aumentará la fuerza.
The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
Yet the righteous will hold to his way. He who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.
Pero ahora, vuelvan todos ustedes y vengan acá. Pero entre ustedes no hallaré algún sabio.
Mas volved todos vosotros, y venid ahora, que no hallaré entre vosotros sabio.
But as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for I cannot find one wise man among you.

Mis días pasaron. Mis planes se deshicieron, aun los anhelos de mi corazón

My days are past, my purposes are broken off, even the thoughts of my heart.

que solían cambiar la noche en día. La luz está después de la oscuridad.

They change the night into day: the light is short because of darkness.
They change the night into day, saying ‘The light is near’ in the presence of darkness.
Si espero, yo sé que el Seol es mi habitación. En la tenebrosidad tengo extendida mi cama.
Si yo espero, el sepulcro es mi casa: haré mi cama en las tinieblas.
If I wait, the grave is mine house: I have made my bed in the darkness.
If I look for Sheol as my house, if I have spread my couch in the darkness,
A la descomposición digo: ¡Padre mío! Y al gusano: ¡Madre mía, hermana mía!
A la huesa tengo dicho: Mi padre eres tú; á los gusanos: Mi madre y mi hermana.
I have said to corruption, Thou art my father: to the worm, Thou art my mother, and my sister.
if I have said to corruption, ‘You are my father,’ and to the worm, ‘My mother,’ and ‘My sister,’
¿Dónde está entonces mi esperanza? ¿Quién verá mi bien?
¿Dónde pues estará ahora mi esperanza? y mi esperanza ¿quién la verá?
And where is now my hope? as for my hope, who shall see it?

Descenderá conmigo al Seol y juntos bajaremos al polvo.
A los rincones de la huesa descenderán, y juntamente descansarán en el polvo.
They shall go down to the bars of the pit, when our rest together is in the dust.
Shall it go down with me to the gates of Sheol, or descend together into the dust?”
