Mi espíritu se va extenuando; se acortan mis días, y sólo me resta el sepulcro.
MI ALIENTO está corrompido, acórtanse mis días, y me está aparejado el sepulcro.
My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves are ready for me.
“My spirit is consumed. My days are extinct and the grave is ready for me.
Yo no he delinquido, y con todo mis ojos no ven sino amarguras.
No hay conmigo sino escarnecedores, en cuya acrimonia se detienen mis ojos.
Are there not mockers with me? and doth not mine eye continue in their provocation?
Surely there are mockers with me. My eye dwells on their provocation.
Líbrame, oh Señor, y ponme a tu lado, y pelee contra mí la mano de quien quiera.
Pon ahora, dame fianza para litigar contigo: ¿quién tocará ahora mi mano?
Lay down now, put me in a surety with thee; who is he that will strike hands with me?
“Now give a pledge. Be collateral for me with yourself. Who is there who will strike hands with me?
Tú has alejado la sabiduría del corazón de éstos; por tanto no serán ensalzados.
Porque á éstos has tú escondido su corazón de inteligencia: por tanto, no los ensalzarás.
For thou hast hid their heart from understanding: therefore shalt thou not exalt them.
For you have hidden their heart from understanding, therefore you will not exalt them.
El uno promete ya los despojos de la victoria a sus compañeros; mas los ojos de sus hijos se consumirán.
El que denuncia lisonjas á sus prójimos, los ojos de sus hijos desfallezcan.
He that speaketh flattery to his friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.
He who denounces his friends for plunder, even the eyes of his children will fail.
El me ha hecho la fábula del vulgo, y soy a sus ojos un escarmiento.
El me ha puesto por parábola de pueblos, y delante de ellos he sido como tamboril.
He hath made me also a byword of the people; and aforetime I was as a tabret.
“But he has made me a byword of the people. They spit in my face.
Por el gran pesar he perdido la luz de mis ojos, y los miembros de mi cuerpo han quedado casi aniquilados.
Y mis ojos se oscurecieron de desabrimiento, y mis pensamientos todos son como sombra.
Mine eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members are as a shadow.

Se pasmarán los justos de esto que me pasa, y el inocente se irritará contra el hipócrita.
Los rectos se maravillarán de esto, y el inocente se levantará contra el hipócrita.
Upright men shall be astonied at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the hypocrite.
Upright men will be astonished at this. The innocent will stir himself up against the godless.
Como quiera, el justo proseguirá su camino, y el que obra bien se fortalecerá más en el bien obrar.
No obstante, proseguirá el justo su camino, y el limpio de manos aumentará la fuerza.
The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
Yet the righteous will hold to his way. He who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.
Por tanto, arrepentíos todos vosotros, y venid y veréis que no hallaré entre vosotros ninguno verdaderamente sabio.
Mas volved todos vosotros, y venid ahora, que no hallaré entre vosotros sabio.
But as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for I cannot find one wise man among you.
But as for you all, come back. I will not find a wise man among you.
Mas, ¡ay!, se fueron mis días felices; se disiparon como humo todos mis designios, dejando en tormento mi corazón.
Pasáronse mis días, fueron arrancados mis pensamientos, los designios de mi corazón.
My days are past, my purposes are broken off, even the thoughts of my heart.

Ellos han convertido para mí la noche en día; y después de las tinieblas espero ya de nuevo con ansia que venga la luz.
Pusieron la noche por día, y la luz se acorta delante de las tinieblas.
They change the night into day: the light is short because of darkness.
They change the night into day, saying ‘The light is near’ in the presence of darkness.
Aun cuando yo sufra con paciencia, el sepulcro será luego mi casa, y tengo ya preparado mi lecho en las tinieblas.
Si yo espero, el sepulcro es mi casa: haré mi cama en las tinieblas.
If I wait, the grave is mine house: I have made my bed in the darkness.
If I look for Sheol as my house, if I have spread my couch in the darkness,
He dicho a la podredumbre: Tú eres mi padre; y a los gusanos: Vosotros sois mi madre y mi hermana.
A la huesa tengo dicho: Mi padre eres tú; á los gusanos: Mi madre y mi hermana.
I have said to corruption, Thou art my father: to the worm, Thou art my mother, and my sister.
if I have said to corruption, ‘You are my father,’ and to the worm, ‘My mother,’ and ‘My sister,’
Según esto, ¿qué esperanza es la que me queda? ¿Y quién es el que toma en consideración mi paciencia?
¿Dónde pues estará ahora mi esperanza? y mi esperanza ¿quién la verá?
And where is now my hope? as for my hope, who shall see it?
where then is my hope? As for my hope, who will see it?
Todas mis cosas tendrán fin, y descenderán a lo más hondo del sepulcro; ¿crees tú que al menos allí tendré yo reposo?
A los rincones de la huesa descenderán, y juntamente descansarán en el polvo.
They shall go down to the bars of the pit, when our rest together is in the dust.
Shall it go down with me to the gates of Sheol, or descend together into the dust?”
